The stability and reliability of a tilting index table should be considered at the design stage. A design method for the lightweight and improvement of the stability of the structure in a tilting index table was proposed using a commercial analysis program, ANSYS Workbench 12, by analyzing the static-thermal characteristics of the developed high-accuracy tilting index table at its design stage. The results of the performed structural analysis show that the maximum stress is generated at the stock tail part. An optimum design for the stock tail part was carried out to reduce the maximum stress and deformation. Also, the design variables were determined by considering the support of the stock tail part for the C-axis body. In the comparison of the results before and after the optimization, the maximum deformation and stress are improved by 2.8% and 8%, respectively. 展开更多

The design objectives of the overall system are to automatically find light emitting objects at night within a user specified area, to track a light emitting object for a user specified time given the initial position of the object, and to allow the user access to these functions through a graphical user interface. The embedded system is used to provide a communication link between the graphical user interface and system hardware, to provide angle data processing for a dual axis accelerometer, to provide data processing for an electronic compass, and to provide pulse outputs for the step and direction inputs of three stepper motor drives. Influence of Design Parameters on Cogging Torque in Directly Driven Permanent Magnet Synchronous Wind Generators

In order to reduce the cogging torque, this paper investigates the influence of some parameters on the cogging torque developed by directly driven permanent magnet synchronous wind generators. Based on the remanent magnetic flux densities, the cogging torque is computed by using finite element method. It is shown that many parameters have influence on cogging torque and the slot and pole number combination has a significant effect on cogging torque. A simple factor has been introduced to indicate the effect of the slot and pole number combination. Some practical experience to reduce the cogging torque was applied to 2 MW three phase permanent magnet synchronous generator at rated speed of 37.5 rpm for wind energy conversion. The simulation and experiment results verify the effect of the proposed method. 展开更多

The 3D model of flapping wing mechanism and veins is constructed in 3D computer aided design (CAD) software UG.Then the co-simulation model is established by using multibody dynamics software ADAMS and MATLAB.The validation of this co-simulation model is verified by comparing the simulation results with final experiments.The simulation results and experiments reveal that the relation between flapping frequency and driving voltage of motor is approximately linear under various wingspans.The variance of flapping frequency among different wingspans augments gradually with increasing voltage.Furthermore,the simulation results suggest that flapping frequency is sensitive to wingspan and decreases with increasing wingspan of veins,and the relation between flapping frequency and moment of inertia of veins is also approximately linear for various voltages. 展开更多
