The calculated values are in very good agreement with experimental data as well as some of the existing model calculations. The dependence of the elastic constants, the aggregate elastic modulus, and the elastic anisotropy on pressure have been investigated. Moreover, the variation of the Poisson's ratio, Debye temperature, and the compressional and shear elastic wave velocities with pressure have been investigated for the first time. Through the quasi-harmonic Debye model, the thermal expansions, heat capacities, Grneisen parameters and Debye temperatures dependence on the temperature and pressure are obtained in the pressure range from 0 GPa to 60 GPa and temperature range from 0 K to 800 K.展开更多

In situ stress measurements and mechanical properties tests were first conducted in the test site. Then, the deformation behavior, stress and yield zone distributions, as well as the bolts load of the gateroad, were simulated using FLAC3D software. The model results demonstrated that the soft rock properties and high in situ stress were the main factors for the deep gateroad instability, and the shear slip failure induced by the high stress was the primary failure model for the deep rock mass. In addition, the unsuitable support patterns, especially the relatively short bolts/cables with low pre-tensions, the lack of high-strengthen secondary supports and the unsupported floor strata, also contributed to the gateroad instability. Subsequently, a new combined supporting strategy, incorporating longer bolts/cables, yielding ring supports, and grouting measures, was proposed for the deep gateroad, and its validity was verified via field monitoring. All these could be a reference for understanding the failure mechanism of the gateroad with 1 km burial depth.展开更多

METHODS: Experimentally-induced LC Wistar rats (20 rats/group) were treated with either oral saline or oral NTau for 6 consecutive weeks. Evaluation parameters included portal venous pressure (PVP), portal venous resistance (PVR), portal venous flow (PVF), splanchnic vascular resistance (SVR) and mean arterial pressure (NAP). Vasoactive substance levels including nitric oxide (NO), nitric oxide synthase (NOS) and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) were also measured. Histological investigation of type Ⅰ and Ⅲ collagen (COL Ⅰ and Ⅲ) and transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) was also performed. RESULTS: Treatment with NTau (1) significantly decreased PVP, PVR and PVF, and increased MAP and SVP; (2) markedly increased the vascular compliance and reduced the zero-stress of the portal vein; (3) markedly decreased the amount of NO and cGMP and activity of NOS; and (4) improved the pathological status of the liver tissue and reduced the expression of COL Ⅰ, COL Ⅲ and TGF-β1. CONCLUSION: NTau inhibited the LC-induced PHT by improving hyperdynamic circulation, morphology of liver and biomechanical properties of the portal vein in experimentally-induced LC rats.展开更多

Based on the long historical association and the provocative findings of blood pressure effects at low level of lead exposure a study was carried out to determine if an association existed between low blood lead concentration and hypertension. In this study the effects of low-level exposure to lead on blood pressure were examined among 244 adults using atomic absorption spectrometer. For quality assurance purpose certified reference materials i.e., Animal blood A-13, Bovine liver 1577 and cotton cellulose V-9 from IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) and NIST (National Institute of Standard Technology) were analyzed under identical experimental conditions. The mean age of hypertensive adults was 52 years (range 43-66). The mean values of systolic and diastolic blood pressure were (209±11.7) (range 170-250) and (117±3.9) (range 105-140) mmHg respectively. Blood lead concentration ranged from 78-201 μg/L with a mean of 139 μg/L and 165-497 μg/L with a mean of 255 μg/k in normal and hypertensive adults respectively. Increase in systolic blood pressure was significantly predictive with increase in blood lead levels. Body mass index (BMI) and lipid profile including total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and triglyceride correlated with blood pressure.展开更多

The measured strength and strain were reported and the changes in both biaxial compressive failure envelopes and strains at peak stresses were analyzed. The regressive equation of initial elastic modulus in the biggest principal compressive stress direction was derived from test results. With the published results from previous biaxial tension-compression experiments, a three-parameter failure criterion has been proposed. A biaxial nonlinear elastic incremental constitutive model was developed for the compressive stress directions by using the equivalent uniaxial strain values deduced from test results. Analytical results obtained from the proposed biaxial constitutive model achieve good agreement with the experimental results.展开更多

Combining accurate sound velocity data under different P–T conditions with density and heat capacity data at ambient pressure, the density, adiabatic bulk modulus, shear modulus, and most importantly, thermal expansion and heat capacity, of San Carlos are extracted to 14 GPa by a numerical procedure using classic thermodynamic relationships. These data are in agreement with published findings. To estimate the temperature gradient in the upper mantle, we also report the fitting equations of thermal expansion and heat capacity of San Carlos olivine as a function of both temperature and pressure to the P–T condition of the 410 km discontinuity, which provide the thermodynamic properties with increasing depth in the Earth's interior.展开更多

These data are obtained in a distillation column with 0.15 m diameter op-erated with n-butane/n-pentane system at total reflux. In considering the axial backmixing effects, the height of an overall gas phase transfer unit, HTUOG , is divided into two parts. One part represents the height of an overall gas phase transfer unit, without backmixing, designated as*OGHTU, and the other part, designated as the height of a backmixing unit (HBUO), accounts for the backmixing effects. The HTUOG is evaluated from the measured concentration profile of n-butane in liquid phase. The HBUO obtained experimentally is correlated in terms of the properties of the materials being separated and the equivalent diameter of the structured packing. Our result shows that HBUO varies from 0.12 to 0.34 m as pressure increases from 1.0 to 1.9 MPa. It indicates that the overall efficiency of the structured packing decreases gradually at high pressure, as a result of the vapor backmixing.展开更多

Methods: Model rats with hyperactivity of liver-yang hyperactivity were prepared using male SD rats.Once successful, the rats were randomly divided into groups and given medicine by gavage for 4 weeks. Blood wascollected from the abdominal aorta to prepare serum. Serum nitric oxide (NO) concentration was determined bychemical colorimetry. The contents of ET, TXB2 and 6-K-PGF1a were determined by enzyme linked immunosorbentassay (ELISA). Results: Compared with the control model group, the blood pressure, serum ET and TXB2 of rats in thewind dispelling medicine group was not significantly reduced, while those of rats in captopril group, Tianma GoutengDecoction I group (TGD group) decreased significantly (P 〈0.05 for both). Interestingly, the blood pressure, serum ETand TXB2 of rats in the combination group (wind dispelling medicine & TGD) decreased significantly compared withboth wind dispelling medicine group and TGD group. Meanwhile, the levels of serum NO and 6- K-PGF1a in thecombination group was much higher than those in the wind dispelling medicine group or TGD group (P 〈0.05 for both). However, the levels of serum NO and 6- K-PGF1a in the wind dispelling medicine group was not significantly increasedcompared with the model group. Conclusion: There is no direct pressure lowering effects of wind dispelling medicinealone, while wind dispelling medicine could potentiates the antihypertensive effects of Tianma Gouteng Decoction I.Besides, the synergistic effects may be related to decreased ET and TXB2 levels and the increased NO and 6- K-PGF1alevels.展开更多

It is found that the ratio of lattice parameter c to a keeps almost constant with a value of 1.02 under the pressure from 0 to 20 GPa, which agrees well with the experimental results. With the pressure increasing from 20 to 45 GPa the values of c/a decrease almost linearly from 1.02 to 0.99. These calculated results indicate under low pressure the variation rate for a-axis is almost the same to that for c-axis, but under higher pressure the variation for a-axis is smaller than along e-axis. Through the quasi-harmonic Debye model, the equation of state (EOS) of TiAI intermetallies, as well as the thermal expansion and heat capacity at various pressures and temperatures are also studied.展开更多

文摘Performance of Mellapak 250Y and 350Y corrugated structured packing in distillation applications at pressures ranging from 0.3 to 2.0MPa is analysed by using HTU-NTU method. It indicates that the overall efficiency of the structured packing decreases gradually at high pressure, as a result of the vapor backmixing.

These calculated results indicate under low pressure the variation rate for a-axis is almost the same to that for c-axis, but under higher pressure the variation for a-axis is smaller than along e-axis. Through the quasi-harmonic Debye model, the equation of state (EOS) of TiAI intermetallies, as well as the thermal expansion and heat capacity at various pressures and temperatures are also studied.

文摘This study was conducted to elucidate the potential key candidate genes and pathways in role of astrocyte involved in glaucoma with ocular hypertension. Methods Expression profiles GSE2378 and GSE758 including 27 reactive optic nerve head astrocytes(ONHAs)by hypertensions and 26 normal controls, were integrated and deeply analyzed.Differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were sorted and candidate genes and pathways enrichment were analyzed.DEGs-associated protein-protein interaction network(PPI)was performed. Results A total of 119 consistently expressed genes were identified from 281 commonly changed DEGs,including 68 up-regulated genes and 51 down-regulated genes.PPI network complex filtered 75 DEGs(43 up-regulated and 32 down-regulated genes)of the 119 consistently altered DEGs and developed 117 edges, and 10 hub genes were identified. The most significant 3 modules were filtered from PPI,pathway enrichment analysis showed that module 1 was associated with extracellular exosome.Module 2 was mainly associated with antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity(ADCC)and module 3 was mainly associated with Hippo signaling pathway. Conclusion Taken above, using integrated bioinformatical analysis,we have identified DEGs candidate genes and pathways in role of astrocyte involved in glaucoma with ocular hypertension, which could improve our understanding of the cause and underlying molecular events, and these candidate genes and pathways could be therapeutic targets for glaucoma.

文摘Huanglian Jiedu Decoction(HLJDD)is a quintessential prescription renowned for its heat-clearing and detoxifying properties. It is primarily prescribed to counteract the syndrome characterized by the excessive heat of the Sanjiao fire.Notably, the hyperactivity of liver fire is frequently linked with hypertension, where wind fire and wind toxicity emerge as pivotal pathogenic factors. This study aimed to investigate the impact of HLJDD on the endoplasmic reticulum in spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR),further delving into the interplay between endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS)and myocardial remodeling and damage.Fifty SHR rats were stratified randomly into five cohorts:model,low-dose HLJDD,medium-dose HLJDD,high-dose HLJDD,and captopril groups. For comparison,a set of Wistar-Kyoto(WKY)rats served as the baseline control group, with each group comprising 10 rats. While the model and control groups received equivalent volumes of normal saline via gavage, the other groups were administered the respective drug dosages through the same route daily for a span of 6 weeks.Upon the experiment’s conclusion, metrics such as the heart mass index(HWI)and left ventricular mass index(LVWI)were assessed.Cardiac tissue anomalies were identified using H&E staining, while ERS-related protein and mRNA expression levels were ascertained via Western blotting analysis and qPCR.Moreover,TUNEL staining was employed to detect cardiomyocyte apoptosis. The findings indicated that increasing HLJDD concentrations corresponded with escalated HWI and LVWI in rat hearts(P<0.05).There was a marked enhancement in myocardial structural integrity, accompanied by a notable reduction in collagen fibers. The mRNA and protein expressions of myocardial inositol-dependent enzyme 1α(IRE1α),X-box binding protein 1(XBP1),glycoregulatory protein 78(GRP78),and CCAAT enhancer binding protein homologous protein(CHOP)in the medium and high-dose groups saw significant declines(P<0.05).These effects mirrored those observed in the captopril group. The study underscored HLJDD’s efficacy in mitigating myocardial tissue damage in SHR.This therapeutic effect was potentially attributed to the downregulation of IRE1α,XBP1,GRP78,and CHOP,curbing excessive ERS,diminishing cardiomyocyte apoptosis, and thereby conferring cardioprotection.

文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the role of adrenomedullin (AM) in the development of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension (HPH), and to assess the expression of AM and adrenomedullin receptor (AMR) in the lungs of rats with HPH. METHODS: We exposed 10 rats to normobaric hypoxic conditions for 3 weeks to establish rat model of pulmonary hypertension; and 10 other rats were used as normoxic controls. Mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) was measured by a right cardiac catheterization. The thickness of pulmonary arterioles was measured by a computerized image analyzer. We used the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to assess the change of expression of AM and AMR in lung of HPH rat model. RESULTS: Compared with the control group, hypoxic rats developed remarkable pulmonary hypertension, increment in the thickness of pulmonary arterioles and right ventricular hypertrophy (P
