The typical data monitored includes: voltage, current, phase, and power measurements, together with network events and alarms. This paper analyses the key challenges facing smart grid solutions in providing effective access to large volumes of sensory data that is distributed over a large geographic area. A case study is described that outlines how the use of geospatial technology together with Web 2.0 technologies may be applied to improve user access and control to this data. The results show that a geospatial solution provides an effective mechanism for visualizing telemetry data monitored within the smart grid.展开更多

IDAS was designed the combined system with the function of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) and distribution automation system (DAS) for network operation from substation to high voltage customer, and it has been installed in Vietnam, China and Indonesia. This paper explains the project scope, system configuration, and the function of each sy stem.展开更多

Here we reported a case of compartment syndrome in the upper limb following an adder bite in the thenar eminence. Elevated compartment pressure was documented and immediate surgical fasciotomy was practiced. The patient achieved complete recovery with a good functional result. We discussed the controversies on fasciotomy and non-invasive measures in such a situation, and recommended intracompartmental pressure monitoring during the management of compartment syndrome following adder bites.展开更多
