The influences of slight amount of B element on the microstructure and properties of AlCoCrFeNiBx high entropy alloys(x = 0,0.01,…,0.09 and 0.1,mole fraction) were investigated.The AlCoCrFeNi high entropy alloy exhibits equiaxed grain structures with obvious composition segregation.However,with the addition of B element,the alloys exhibit dendrite structures.Inside the dendrites,spinodal decomposition structure can be clearly observed.With the addition of B element,the crystal structures change from(B2 + BCC) to(B2 + BCC + FCC) structures,and the hardness firstly increases from HV 486.7 to HV 502.4,then declines to HV 460.7(x ≥ 0.02).The compressive fracture strength firstly shows a trend of increasing,and then declining(x ≥ 0.08).The coercive forces and the specific saturation magnetizations of the alloys decrease as B addition contents increase,the decreasing coercive forces show a better soft magnetic behavior. 展开更多

A new wing crack model subjected to hydraulic pressure and far-field stresses was proposed considering the effect of hydraulic pressure in wing crack and the connected part of the main crack on the stress intensity factor at the wing crack tip. With the equivalent crack length Ieq of the wing crack introduced, the stress intensity factor Kl at the wing crack tip was as- sumed to the sum of two terms: on one hand a component K1^(1) for a single isolated straight wing crack of length 21, and subjected to hydraulic pressure in the wing crack and far-field stresses; on the other hand a component K1(2) due to the effective shear stress induced by the presence of the equivalent main crack. The lateral tensile stress and hydraulic high pressure are the key factors that induce crack propagation unsteadily. The new wing crack theoretical model proposed can supply references for the study on hydraulic fracture in fractured masses, hydraulic fracturing in rock masses. 展开更多

This paper analyzes the influence of fatigue loading on the residual stress profile in high strength steel wires. To this end, different sinusoidal loads with diverse values of maximum loading level and number of cycles were simulated on wires in which several residual stress profiles had been previously introduced, some of them with a tensile state and others with a compressive state. An analysis was made of the evolution with time of such residual stress laws by comparing them at key instants of loading, that is, at initial instant, at maximum load, at minimum load and at final instant. Numerical results show only a minor influence of fatigue loading on the residual stress profile. 展开更多
