脉冲磁场治疗肿瘤凭借其无创性的优势具有良好的应用前景。感应电场和感应电流是脉冲磁场产生生物效应的原因之一。为了获得较大的感应电场来开展脉冲磁场治疗肿瘤的细胞实验,研制了1台基于阿基米德螺旋线圈和自击穿空气开关的高变化率... 脉冲磁场治疗肿瘤凭借其无创性的优势具有良好的应用前景。感应电场和感应电流是脉冲磁场产生生物效应的原因之一。为了获得较大的感应电场来开展脉冲磁场治疗肿瘤的细胞实验,研制了1台基于阿基米德螺旋线圈和自击穿空气开关的高变化率脉冲磁场发生器。对阿基米德螺旋线圈周围空间的磁场和感应电场进行了计算,利用COMSOL Multiphysics软件对线圈的磁场分布特性进行了优化设计,并对研制出的磁场发生器性能进行了实测。最终,设计的阿基米德螺旋线圈为7匝、外径为21 mm,该线圈在细胞培养液中可产生的脉冲磁场参数为:磁感应强度幅值0.92 T、上升时间78 ns、脉冲宽度1.8μs,磁场的变化率达1.1×107 T/s,感应电场最大值为55.9kV/m,电场的均匀度达84%,最大的感应电流密度达1.7×104 A/m2。结果表明,此脉冲磁场发生器可以满足用于研究脉冲磁场治疗肿瘤相关的细胞实验的要求,为后续研究奠定了基础。 展开更多

Experimental studies were conducted on the tensile behaviors and fracture modes of TiAl(Ti-46.5Al-2Nb-2Cr) alloys with near gamma(NG) equiaxed and near lamellar(NL) microstructures over a temperature range from room temperature to 840 ℃ and a strain rate range of 0.001-1 350 s-1.The results indicate that the alloys are both temperature and strain rate dependent and they have a similar dependence.The dynamic strength is higher than the quasi-static strength but almost insensitive to high strain rate range of 320-1 350 s-1.The brittle-to-ductile transition temperature(BDTT) increases with increasing strain rates.NG TiAl yields obviously,while NL TiAl does not.Below BDTT,as the temperature increases,the fracture modes of the two alloys change from planar cleavage fracture to a mixture of transgranular and intergranular fractures,and finally to totally intergranular fracture. 展开更多

Glacier variations in the Tibetan Plateau and surrounding mountain ranges in China affect the livelihood of over one billion people who depend on water from the Yellow, Yangtze, Brahmaputra, Ganges and Indus rivers originating in these areas. Based on the results of the present study and published literature, we found that the glaciers shrank :5.7% in area from 1963 to 20:0 with an annual area change of -0.33%. The shrinkage generally decreased from peripheral mountain ranges to the interior of Tibet. The linear trends of annual air temperature and precipitation at 147 stations were 0.36℃(10a)^-1 and 8.96 mm (10a)^-1 respectively from 1961 to 2010. The shrinkage of glaciers was well correlated with the rising temperature and the spatial patterns of the shrinkage were influenced by other factors superimposed on the rising temperature such as glacier size, type, elevation, debris cover and precipitation. 展开更多

Using a homogenized daily maximum temperature(T_(max))dataset across China,this study characterized the spatiotemporal variation of the onset date of extreme hot days in a year(i.e.,FirstEHD)during 1960-2018.Inhomogeneous trends of FirstEHD over China during 1960-2018 can be found,with the advanced trend of FirstEHD over most parts in China,while a number of stations in North-Central China(NC)show the delayed trend of FirstEHD.Moreover,there exist interdecadal changes of FirstEHD trend,with a remarkable difference in the trend magnitude before and after the 1990s over South China(SC),and the sign of trend can even reverse from negative to positive after the 1990s in Xinjiang(XJ)and Yangtze River Basin(YR),and from positive to negative in NC.The overall trends of FirstEHD over NC,YR,and XJ during 1960-2018 are dominated by the trends before the 1990s,while they are dominated by the sharp advance after the 1990s over SC.It is further found that the trend of FirstEHD can generally be explained by the long-term trend in T_(max) over most parts of China,but the contribution from T_(max) variabilities is also non-negligible and can even account for more than 75% of the overall trend over NC.The possible factors responsible for the decadal changes in FirstEHD trends are also discussed. 展开更多

An interdecadal decrease in extreme heat days in August over Northeast China around the early 1990s

Northeast China(NEC)witnessed an interdecadal increase in summer extreme heat days(EHDs)around the mid-1990s.The current study reveals that this interdecadal increase only occurs in June and July,while August features a unique interdecadal decrease in EHDs around the early 1990s.Plausible reasons for the interdecadal decrease in EHDs in August are further investigated.Results show that the interdecadal decrease in EHDs in August is due to the deceased variability of daily maximum temperature(Tmax).Overall,the variation of the Tmax over NEC in August is modulated by the Eurasian teleconnection pattern,Silk Road pattern,and East AsiaPacific pattern.However,the influence of the Silk Road pattern dramatically weakens after the early 1990s because the meridional wind variability along the westerly jet significantly decreases.The weakened influence of the Silk Road pattern contributes to the decreased Tmax variability over NEC.Meanwhile,the convection over the western North Pacific,which accompanies the East Asia-Pacific pattern,presents a significant decrease in variance after the early 1990s,further decreasing the Tmax variability over NEC. 展开更多

The upmost segment (Holocene series) of the Milanggouwan stratigraphic section (MGS 1) in the Salawusu River valley shows 11 sedimentary cycles of dune sands and fluvio-lacustrine facies, or dune sands and paleosols. The analysis of the magnetic susceptibility of this segment suggests that there are 11 magnetic susceptibility cycles with the value alternating from low to high, in which the layers of the dune sands correspond to the lower value of the magnetic susceptibility and the layers of fluvio-lacustrine facies and paleosols correspond to the higher peaks. The study reveals that the low and high magnetic susceptibility values indicate the climate dominated by cold-arid winter monsoon and warm-humid summer monsoon of East Asia, respectively, and the study area has experienced at least 22 times of milleunial-centennial scales climate alternation from the cold-arid to the warm-humid during the Holocene. In terms of the time and the climate nature, the variations basically correspond to those of the North Atlantic and some records of cold-warm changes in China as well. They might be caused by the alternation of winter and summer monsoons in the Mu Us Desert induced by global climate fluctuations in the Holocene. 展开更多

The out-coupling efficiency of an OLED using this substrate is 1.8 times higher compared with an OLED using an untreated glass substrate. The ocean’s thermal inertia is a major contributor to irreversible ocean changes exceeding time scales that matter to human society.This fact is a challenge to societies as they prepare for the consequences of climate change,especially with respect to the ocean.Here the authors review the requirements for human actions from the ocean’s perspective.In the near term(∼2030),goals such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs)will be critical.Over longer times(∼2050–2060 and beyond),global carbon neutrality targets may be met as countries continue to work toward reducing emissions.Both adaptation and mitigation plans need to be fully implemented in the interim,and the Global Ocean Observation System should be sustained so that changes can be continuously monitored.In the longer-term(after∼2060),slow emerging changes such as deep ocean warming and sea level rise are committed to continue even in the scenario where net zero emissions are reached.Thus,climate actions have to extend to time scales of hundreds of years.At these time scales,preparation for“high impact,low probability”risks—such as an abrupt showdown of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation,ecosystem change,or irreversible ice sheet loss—should be fully integrated into long-term planning. 展开更多

This study investigates the wind energy input, an important source of mechanical energy, in the coastal seas east of China. Using the wind field from the high-resolution sea surface meteorology dataset in the Bohai Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea, we studied the wind energy input through surface ageostrophic currents and surface waves. Using a simple analytical formula for the Ekman Spiral with time- dependent wind, the wind energy input through ageostrophic currents was estimated at -22 GW averaged from 1960 to 2007, and through use of an empirical formula, the wind energy input through surface waves was estimated at -169 GW. We also examined the seasonal variation and long-term tendency of mechanical energy from wind stress, and found that the wind energy input to the East China Sea decreased before the 1980s, and then subsequently increased, which is contrary to what has been found for the Bohai Sea and Yellow Sea. More complicated physical processes and varying diffusivity need to be taken into account in future studies. 展开更多

We in this paper study some bottom and anti-strange production processes in the LHT model at the International Linear Collider(ILC),i.e.,e^+e^-→bs andγγ→bs.The results show that the production rates of these processes are sizeable for the favorable values of the parameters.Therefore,it is quite possible to test the LHT model or make some constraints on the relevant parameters of the LHT through the detection of these processes at the ILC. 展开更多

In this paper, the changes in temperature and precipitation extremes over the next 20-30 years (2021-2050) in relative to the present day (1986-2005) under the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Report on Emissions Scenarios (SRES) A1B scenario are analyzed based on a high-resolution climate change simulation performed by a regional climate model (the Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) RegCM3). The extreme indices of summer days (SU), frost days (FD), and growing season length (GSL) for temperature and simple daily intensity index (SDII), number of days with precipitation ≥10 mm d-1 (R10), and consecutive dry days (CDD) for precipitation are used as the indicators of the extremes. The results show that the indices simulated by RegCM3 in the present day show good agreement with the observed. A general increase in SU, a decrease in FD, and an increase in GSL are found to occur in the next 20-30 years over China. A general increase in SDII, an increase in R10 over western China, and a decrease in R10 in north, northeast, and central China are simulated by the model. Changes in CDD are characterized by a decrease in the north and an increase in the south and the Tibetan Plateau. 展开更多

There is little low-and-high frequency information on seismic data in seismic exploration,resulting in narrower bandwidth and lower seismic resolution.It considerably restricts the prediction accuracy of thin reservoirs and thin interbeds.This study proposes a novel method to constrain improving seismic resolution in the time and frequency domain.The expected wavelet spectrum is used in the frequency domain to broaden the seismic spectrum range and increase the octave.In the time domain,the Frobenius vector regularization of the Hessian matrix is used to constrain the horizontal continuity of the seismic data.It eff ectively protects the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data while the longitudinal seismic resolution is improved.This method is applied to actual post-stack seismic data and pre-stack gathers dividedly.Without abolishing the phase characteristics of the original seismic data,the time resolution is signifi cantly improved,and the structural features are clearer.Compared with the traditional spectral simulation and deconvolution methods,the frequency distribution is more reasonable,and seismic data has higher resolution. 展开更多

In the warming world, tropical Pacific sea surface temperature (SST) variation has received considerable attention because of its enormous influence on global climate change, particularly the El Nino-Southern Oscillation process. Here, we provide new high-resolution proxy records of the magnesium/ calcium ratio and the oxygen isotope in foraminifera from a core on the Ontong-Java Plateau to reconstruct the SST and hydrological variation in the center of the Western Pacific Warm Pool (WPWP) over the last 360 000 years. In comparison with other Mg/Ca-derived SST and δ18O records, the results suggested that in a relatively stable condition, e.g., the last glacial maximum (LGM) and other glacial periods, the tropical Pacific would adopt a La Nifia-like state, and the Walker and Hadley cycles would be synchronously enhanced. Conversely, El Nino-like conditions could have occurred in the tropical Pacific during fast- changing periods, e.g., the termination and rapidly cooling stages of interglacial periods. In the light of the sensitivity of the Eastern Pacific Cold Tongue (EPCT) and the inertia of the WPWP, we hypothesize an inter-restricted relationship between the WPWP and EPCT, which could control the zonal gradient variation of SST and affect climate change. 展开更多

In this paper, turbulent data obtained from the Damxung site during the Secondary Tibetan Plateau Science Experiment (TIPEX) in 1998 are used to study the characteristics of the turbulent spectra, turbulence transport, and the dissipation rates of turbulent kinetic energy, temperature variance, and humidity variance in the middle area of the Tibetan Plateau. The turbulent spectra of wind velocity, potential temperature, and humidity satisfy the-2/3 power law in the high frequency range. Horizontal transportation of heat and water vapor is negligible compared with vertical transportation under strong unstable conditions, and as the stability parameter z/L increases (where z is the observational height, and L is the Monin Obukhov length), horizontal transportation becomes dominant under near-neutral, neutral, and stable conditions. The non-dimensional temperature and humidity variances are 20% less than the temperature and humidity gradient variances. These deficits appear to increase as the absolute stability parameter increases. Moreover, the effects of turbulence transportation and pressure variance exist throughout the entire stability region. 展开更多

Four future climate scenarios(RCP2.6,RCP4.5,RCP6.0 and RCP8.5) from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5) were selectively investigated. The results showed that warmer temperatures have negative effects on gross primary production(GPP) and net primary production(NPP) in growing seasons and positive effects in dormant seasons due to the variation in the leaf area index. Warmer temperatures tend to generate lower canopy WUE and higher ecosystem WUE in Abies fabri. However,warmer temperature together with rising CO_2 concentrations significantlyincrease the GPP and NPP in both growing and dormant seasons and enhance WUE in annual and dormant seasons because of the higher leaf area index(LAI) and soil temperature. The comparison of the simulated results with and without CO_2 fertilization shows that CO_2 has the potential to partially alleviate the adverse effects of climate warming on carbon gain and WUE in subalpine coniferous forests. 展开更多

Multi-decadal high resolution climate change simulations over East Asia were performed by using The Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) Regional Climate Model (RegCM3), nested within the NASA/NCAR global model FvGCM/CCM3. Two sets of simulations were conducted at 20-km grid spacings, one for present day (1961-1990) and one for the future climate (2071-2100, IPCC A2 scenario). Simulations of present climate conditions over China by RegCM3 and FvGCM were compared against observations to assess the model performance. Results showed that both models repro- duced the observed spatial structure of 500 hPa height, surface air temperature and precipitation. Compared with FvGCM, RegCM3 provided increasing spatial detail of surface variables. Furthermore, RegCM3 improved the simulation of monsoon precipitation over the region. Changes in the mean temperature and precipitation were analyzed and compared between the two models. Significant warming in the end of the 21st century was simulated by both models in December-January-February (DJF), June-July-August (JJA), and the annual mean. In DJF, greater warming was simulated by FvGCM over Northeast and Northwest China, as well as the Tibetan Plateau, compared with RegCM. In JJA, RegCM3 simulated greater warming over northern China, Inner Mongolia, Northwest China, and the Tibetan Plateau. Simulated changes in DJF precipitation showed similar spatial patterns between the two models. In JJA, while FvGCM projected a prevailing increase of monsoon precipitation over China, which is in agreement with other global models, RegCM3 projected extended areas of decreased precipitation.
