Deep rock mass possesses some unusual properties due to high earth stress,which further result in new problems that have not been well understood and explained up to date.In order to investigate the deformation mechan...Deep rock mass possesses some unusual properties due to high earth stress,which further result in new problems that have not been well understood and explained up to date.In order to investigate the deformation mechanism,the complete deformation process of deep rock mass,with a great emphasis on local shear deformation stage,was analyzed in detail.The quasi continuous shear deformation of the deep rock mass is described by a combination of smooth functions:the averaged distribution of the original deformation field,and the local discontinuities along the slip lines.Hence,an elasto-plastic model is established for the shear deformation process,in which the rotational displacement is taken into account as well as the translational component.Numerical analysis method was developed for case study.Deformation process of a tunnel under high earth stress was investigated for verification.展开更多
This paper presents an improved voice morphing algorithm based on Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM) which overcomes the traditional one in the terms of overly smoothed problems of the converted spectral and discontinuities ...This paper presents an improved voice morphing algorithm based on Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM) which overcomes the traditional one in the terms of overly smoothed problems of the converted spectral and discontinuities between frames.Firstly, a maximum likelihood estimation for the model is introduced for the alleviation of the inversion of high dimension matrixes caused by traditional conversion function.Then, in order to resolve the two problems associated with the baseline, a codebook compensation technique and a time domain medial filter are applied.The results of listening evaluations show that the quality of the speech converted by the proposed method is significantly better than that by the traditional GMM method, and the Mean Opinion Score(MOS) of the converted speech is improved from 2.5 to 3.1 and ABX score from 38% to 75%.展开更多
Primary and metastatic liver tumors are an increasing global health problem,with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)now being the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide.Systemic treatment options for HCC ...Primary and metastatic liver tumors are an increasing global health problem,with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)now being the third leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide.Systemic treatment options for HCC remain limited,with Sorafenib as the only prospectively validated agent shown to increase overall survival.Surgical resection and/or transplantation,locally ablative therapies and regional or locoregional therapies have filled the gap in liver tumor treatments,providing improved survival outcomes for both primary and metastatic tumors.Minimally invasive local therapies have an increasing role in the treatment of both primary and metastatic liver tumors.For patients with low volume disease,these therapies have now been established into consensus practice guidelines.This review highlights technical aspects and outcomes of commonly utilized,minimally invasive local therapies including laparoscopic liver resection(LLR),radiofrequency ablation(RFA),microwave ablation(MWA),high-intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU),irreversible electroporation(IRE),and stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT).In addition,the role of combination treatment strategies utilizing these minimally invasive techniques is reviewed.展开更多

However, the D2D users have to reutilize the spectrum whic...In the hybrid LTE cellular network with D2D(Device-to-Device) communication, D2D communication technologies can improve the spectral efficiency significantly. However, the D2D users have to reutilize the spectrum which is allocated to the cellular users. Therefore, the co-channel interference will be more complicated in the case of crosscell D2D communications. In this article, a novel spectrum allocation algorithm for inter-cell D2D communication considering the traffic load is proposed. The traffic load can be balanced by the proposed algorithm. Meanwhile D2D users can multiplex the spectrum allocated to a number of cellular users with a certain percentage to meet the requirements of Qo S of D2D communications and reduce the interference to cellular users. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can meet the needs of D2D users, balance the traffic load and improve the overall throughput of the system.展开更多

Simultaneously, mixing control mechanism of coaxial jets with actuators is also studied. Firstly, excitation frequency (rotating speed), piston displacement and its exit slot width have effect on the controlling ability and controlling efficiency of actuator. With the invariable model and con- cerned parameters, the actuator becomes more desirable as the rotating speed increases. Average velocity and maximal velocity at the actuator exit section increase as the piston displacement enlarges or the exit slot width decreases. But the actuator does not always exhibit good performance with the narrower exit. Secondly, the synthetic jets also have the "push" effect on the coaxial jets, which results in the fluctuation of vorticity and temperature distribution of mixing flowfield. Finally, the employment of synthetic jet actuator can achieve mixing enhancement significantly.展开更多
