The estimation of conducted disturbance...Modeling and simulation of induction motor drive system to investigate and mitigate the adverse effects of PWM inverter based on analysis, modeling and simulation are presented. The estimation of conducted disturbances and other adverse effects of PWM inverter by simulation offer a considerable gain from the economic point of view. For an accurate model of the motor drive system including mains, rectifier, inverter, motor and its long cables, the high frequency parasitic current paths are taken into account. The novel model and its parasitic values for three-phase induction motor system are presented. Finally a new solution for suppressing EMI, common mode voltage, leakage current, bearing current and shaft voltages is proposed and the results show the excellent performances of proposed solution including active and passive filters.展开更多
To investigate drivers' lane-changing behavior under different information feedback strategies,a microscopic traffic simulation based on the cellular automaton model was made on the typical freeway with a regular ...To investigate drivers' lane-changing behavior under different information feedback strategies,a microscopic traffic simulation based on the cellular automaton model was made on the typical freeway with a regular lane and a high-occupancy one. A new dynamic tolling scheme in terms of the real-time traffic condition on the high-occupancy lane was further designed to enhance the whole freeway's flow throughput. The results show that the mean velocity feedback strategy is generally more efficient than the travel time feedback strategy in correctly guiding drivers' lane choice behavior. Specifically,the toll level,lane-changing rate and freeway's throughput and congestion coefficient induced by the travel time feedback strategy oscillate with larger amplitude and longer period. In addition,the dynamic tolling scheme can make the high-occupancy lane less congested and maximize the freeway's throughput when the regular-lane inflow rate is larger than 0.45.展开更多

We justify that the model can reach a stable state...The system of mixture of single lane and double lane is studied by a cellular automata model, which is developed by us based on the Nagel and Schreckenberg's models. We justify that the model can reach a stable states quickly. The density distributions of the stable state is presented for several cases, which illustrate the manner of the congestion. The relationship between the outflow rate and the total number of vehicles and that between the outflow rate and the density just before the bottleneck are both given. Comparing with the relationship that occurring in the granular flow, we conclude that the transition from the free traffic flow to the congested traffic flow can also be attributed to the abrupt variation through unstable flow state, which can naturally explain the discontinuities and the complex time variation behavior observed in the traffic flow experiments.展开更多
Automatic image annotation has been an active topic of research in computer vision and pattern recognition for decades.A two stage automatic image annotation method based on Gaussian mixture model(GMM) and random walk...Automatic image annotation has been an active topic of research in computer vision and pattern recognition for decades.A two stage automatic image annotation method based on Gaussian mixture model(GMM) and random walk model(abbreviated as GMM-RW) is presented.To start with,GMM fitted by the rival penalized expectation maximization(RPEM) algorithm is employed to estimate the posterior probabilities of each annotation keyword.Subsequently,a random walk process over the constructed label similarity graph is implemented to further mine the potential correlations of the candidate annotations so as to capture the refining results,which plays a crucial role in semantic based image retrieval.The contributions exhibited in this work are multifold.First,GMM is exploited to capture the initial semantic annotations,especially the RPEM algorithm is utilized to train the model that can determine the number of components in GMM automatically.Second,a label similarity graph is constructed by a weighted linear combination of label similarity and visual similarity of images associated with the corresponding labels,which is able to avoid the phenomena of polysemy and synonym efficiently during the image annotation process.Third,the random walk is implemented over the constructed label graph to further refine the candidate set of annotations generated by GMM.Conducted experiments on the standard Corel5 k demonstrate that GMM-RW is significantly more effective than several state-of-the-arts regarding their effectiveness and efficiency in the task of automatic image annotation.展开更多

The lane changing rules are given in detailed, the numerical results show that the main road and the accessory road both produce phase transitions. These phase transitions will omen be influenced by the number of lanes, lane changing, the ramp flow, the input flow rate, and the geometry structure.展开更多
