First, the translational motion model is used because of the fact that complex motion can be decomposed as a sum of ...A novel and effective approach to global motion estimation and moving object extraction is proposed. First, the translational motion model is used because of the fact that complex motion can be decomposed as a sum of translational components. Then in this application, the edge gray horizontal and vertical projections are used as the block matching feature for the motion vectors estimation. The proposed algorithm reduces the motion estimation computations by calculating the onedimensional vectors rather than the two-dimensional ones. Once the global motion is robustly estimated, relatively stationary background can be almost completely eliminated through the inter-frame difference method. To achieve an accurate object extraction result, the higher-order statistics (HOS) algorithm is used to discriminate backgrounds and moving objects. Experimental results validate that the proposed method is an effective way for global motion estimation and object extraction.展开更多

To make three-dimensional electromagnetic exploration achievable,the distributed wide field electromagnetic method(WFEM)based on the high-order 2^(n) sequence pseudo-random signal is proposed and realized.In this meth...To make three-dimensional electromagnetic exploration achievable,the distributed wide field electromagnetic method(WFEM)based on the high-order 2^(n) sequence pseudo-random signal is proposed and realized.In this method,only one set of high-order pseudo-random waveforms,which contains all target frequencies,is needed.Based on high-order sequence pseudo-random signal construction algorithm,the waveform can be customized according to different exploration tasks.And the receivers are independent with each other and dynamically adjust the acquisition parameters according to different requirements.A field test in the deep iron ore of Qihe−Yucheng showed that the distributed WFEM based on high-order pseudo-random signal realizes the high-efficiency acquisition of massive electromagnetic data in quite a short time.Compared with traditional controlled-source electromagnetic methods,the distributed WFEM is much more efficient.Distributed WFEM can be applied to the large scale and high-resolution exploration for deep resources and minerals.展开更多

The Lax- Wendroff time discretization procedure is an altemative method for time discretization to the popular total variation diminishing (TVD) Runge-Kutta time discretizations. In this paper, we develop fluxes for the method of DG with Lax-Wendroff time discretization procedure (LWDG) based on different numerical fluxes for finite volume or finite difference schemes, including the first-order monotone fluxes such as the Lax-Friedfichs flux, Godunov flux, the Engquist-Osher flux etc. and the second-order TVD fluxes. We systematically investigate the performance of the LWDG methods based on these different numerical fluxes for convection terms with the objective of obtaining better performance by choosing suitable numerical fluxes. The detailed numerical study is mainly performed for the one-dimensional system case, addressing the issues of CPU cost, accuracy, non-oscillatory property, and resolution of discontinuities. The proposed method combines the FOC (fourth-order cumulants) technique with the ETAM (extended towed array measurements) method to extend array aperture and suppress Gaussian noise, First, successive measurements of a virtual uniform linear array were constructed by applying lburth-order cumulants to measurements of uniform linear array; Gaussian noise in these measurements was also eliminated. Then, the array was extended by compensating phase differences using the ETAM method, Finally, the synthetic aperture was extended further by the fourth-order cumulants technique. The proposed FOC-ETAM-FOC method not only improves angular resolution and array gain, but also effectively suppresses Gaussian noise. Furthermore, it inherits the advantages of the ETAM method. Simulation results showed that the FOC-ETAM-FOC method achieved better angular resolution and array gain than the ETAM method. Furthermore this method outperforms the ETAM method in Gaussian noise environment.展开更多

The high-order energy-work relation scheme of the system is constructed by a parallel connection of n multi-stage schemes of order 2, its order of accuracy is 2n. The connection, which is discrete analogue of usual case, between the change of energy and work of nonholonomic constraint forces is obtained for nonholonomie Hamiltonian systems. This paper also gives that there is smaller error of the scheme when taking a large number of stages than a less one. Finally, an applied example is discussed to illustrate these results.展开更多

Using the extended perturbative method, the detail energy spectrum and wave functions axe obtained and verified, as an application of the results, the current quantum fluctuation in the ground state is calculated. Diode is a basis component in a circuit, its quantization would popularize the quantum theory of mesoscopie circuits. This paper is considered with the mixture model of exponentiated Rayleigh and exponentiated exponential distributions. The author's objectives are finding the statistical properties of the model and estimating the parameters of the model by using point estimation and interval estimation methods. First, some properties of the model with some graphs of the density function are discussed. Next, the maximum likelihood method of estimation is used for estimating scale and shape parameters of the model. Estimating the parameters is studied under complete and type II censored samples for different sample sizes. Asymptotic Fisher information matrix of the estimators for complete samples is founded with different sample sizes. The asymptotic variances of the maximum likelihood estimates are derived. Based on the asymptotic variances of the maximum likelihood estimates, interval estimates of the parameters are obtained. Some of the equations in this paper are solved by using numerical iteration such as Newton Raphson method by using Mathematica 7.0. The performance of findings in the paper is showed by demonstrating some numerical illustrations through Monte Carlo simulation study based on absolute relative bias and mean square error.展开更多

It is explicitly demonstrated that the universe expansion history (transition from inflation to deceleration epoch to acceleration and effective quintessence era) may naturally occur in such unified theory for some classes of inverse scalar potentials. Besides a decaying effective cosmological constant, the model incorporates an increasing black hole mass, an increasing Maxwellian electrical charge with cosmic time and a time-dependent brahe tension. The cosmological model exhibits several features of cosmological and astrophysical interest for both the early and late universe consistent with recent observations, in particular the ones concerned with the gravitational constants, black holes masses and charges and variation of the gauge coupling parameters with cosmic time. One interesting mark of the constructed model concerns the fact that a black hole mass surrounded by quintessence energy may increase with time even if the horizon disappears.展开更多

Alkali halides crystals have been the subject of intense research. High order crystalline one phase mixtures (high order: more that binary) studied by TL (thermoluminiscence technique) proved having persistent peaks along the time after the radiation to which they are exposed. In general in alkali halide crystals the traps associated with highest recorded temperature peaks in the TL due to radiation damage have greater permanence in time too. These features are useful for dosimetric applications. In this work, temperature thermoluminescence glow peaks of ternary and quaternary mixed alkali halide crystals have been studied. The study has been focused on their high temperature glow peaks after being subjected to thermal treatments at 373, 573, and 673 K. The glow peaks of high temperature were isolated and studied 24 h and 48 h after irradiation. The parameters of the recombination processes associated to these peaks were obtained using a glow peak shape method. Orders of kinetics were higher than 1.0 and the activation energy greater than 1.2 eV. The results suggest that such materials have a high potential as dosimeter and energy storage materials.展开更多
