Physiological mechanisms that underlie traits for salt tolerance plantlets have been used to test s...The aim of this work was to study the reactions of wheat (T. aestivum L.) and its wild congeners under salt stress. Physiological mechanisms that underlie traits for salt tolerance plantlets have been used to test some wheat species and to identify sources of salty tolerance. Stress conditions were founded by means of exposure of the plantlets in NaCI water solution, 1.68% that demonstrably differentiates the samples by growth parameters. Under laboratory conditions the ability of seedlings to bear a significant shortage of water, their ability to accumulate biomass, changing the parameters of linear growth processes and changes in water content in leaves and roots of seedlings under stress was determined. Interest is also the rate of growth of root fibrils in saline conditions. These experiments allowed to provide a comprehensive diagnosis of studied forms of wheat and make an initial opinion on their salt tolerance. Different features of abiotic stress responses of some wheat species at the early stages of development were shown that testifies necessi~ of great number of approaches at selection of genetic material for improvement of modern wheat eultivars. This work is the first phase of research for practical breeding.展开更多

The principle of triadness applied in a language, in a genetic code and other codes is used, i.e. the logic homology is employed. The purpose are (1) to show the use of a systematic approach to the analysis of elements of crop capacity structure of winter wheat; (2) to analyze efficiency, the years of harvests and winter hardiness; (3) to find the way of selection and varieties assessment in terms of the elements efficiency. The quantitative compatibility as the highest with the sign "+" and the lowest with the sign "-" in terms of elements efficiency gives eight types of crop capacities. The type of crop capacity structure "+++" can serve as a full (higher) measure of a variety adaptableness and optimality of technologies. The triad of three characteristics as a type-"+++" in which the first sign is the quantity of ears (QE); the second is a quantity of grains (QG); the third is the weight of grains (WG) creates the highest level of crop capacity.展开更多
In order to provide the reference of improving the nutritional quality traits in carotenoids and screening its resources of wheat varieties, 185 wheat varieties or lines were selected as materials to test the caroteno...In order to provide the reference of improving the nutritional quality traits in carotenoids and screening its resources of wheat varieties, 185 wheat varieties or lines were selected as materials to test the carotenoids content, lipoxygenase activity, whiteness, yellowness and some other quality traits of whole mill in wheat.The results showed that there were highly significant variations in lipoxygenase activity,carotenoids content, whiteness and yellowness among those sample of wheat varieties; carotenoids content was significantly and positively correlated with yellowness.Cluster analysis was performed based on carotenoids content clustered all the varieties or lines into three major groups. Additionally, carotenoids were discussed in the application of nutritional quality improvement in wheat.展开更多
