[Objective] This study aimed to develop a new Bombyx mori variety Shuhuang No.1 and investigate its characteristics.[Method] The new variety was developed through cross breeding and pedigree separation.Its characteris...[Objective] This study aimed to develop a new Bombyx mori variety Shuhuang No.1 and investigate its characteristics.[Method] The new variety was developed through cross breeding and pedigree separation.Its characteristics were identified by laboratory tests and rural promotion practices in Sichuan Province.[Result]The cocoon produced by the new variety Shuhuang No.1 was golden-yellow and radiantly beautiful.Shuhuang No.1 was strong and easy to rear,uniform in development.The male and female ones could be distinguished by their larval color and markings.The cocoon yield per 10 000 the 4th instar larvae reached 20.30 kg; the length of a cocoon filament was about 1 115.0 m,and a non-broken filament was 882.95 mm long,accounting for 79.15% of the total length.The raw silk ratio of fresh cocoon was 18.39%,and the neatness was 91.25 point.The main economic features of Shuhuang No.1 were better than those of the control.[Conclusion] The new variety had been approved by Sichuan Silkworm Evaluation Commission.It can be promoted in parent silkworm rearing areas Sichuan,Chongqing,Yangtze River basin.展开更多

The amount of prote...The aim of this work was to focus on development of the new health benefit food product, bread made from colored wheat flour with a high content of proteins, fibre, β-glucans, phenols, flavonoids. The amount of protein ranged from 9% to 14% in our analyzed set. The highest value had yellow variety of wheat BONA DEA (14%), at least had red grain of variety FEDERER (9.02%). Average content of fl-glucans determined by enzymatically ranged from 0.25% (BONA VITA) to 0.67% (ABISSINSKAJA and LUTEUS). The largest amount of phenolic compounds (134 mg GAE/L) and flavonoids (2.80 mg RE/L) contained sample RU440-6, the lowest sample was IS CORVINUS (87 mg GAE/L). The highest antioxidant activity was observed in blue varieties of wheat 48M (0.269 mmol TE/L), while the lowest was determined in a sample of purple ANK 28A (0.083 mmol TE/L). Data show that there is potential to use purple, blue and red variety of wheat as novel ingredient resources for the development of new innovative products. Assessment of the results we selected two varieties of color wheat (KONINI, RU440-6) in bakery attempt to meet demand for nutritional quality and also have an increased content of healthy components. Overall the most pleasant taste, color and flexibility bread crumb had a loaf of bread prepared from a purple variety KONINI without the addition of β-glucans.展开更多

The aim of study is to develop a rapid test kit for detecting...Coagulation test, in principle, is an immunodiagnostics technique, in which immunoglobuline G of antibody is bound to protein A from Staphylococcus aureus. The aim of study is to develop a rapid test kit for detecting iridovirus infection in fish. Method was summarized as follows: (1) vaccine of iridovirus was injected to rabbit four times with a dosage as 0.5 mL, 1 mL, 2mL, 3 mL each week. Serum was collected at the fifth week as a coagglutination test kit; (2) through the positif polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, the kidney and spleen sample infected with iridovirus are homogenized by using the phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution of pH 7.2 with ratio 1:2 (WN); (3) the supernatant material is collected after centrifugation at 8,000 rpm for 15 min; (4) filtrate/supernatant from sample was dropped on a slide an added with coagglutination test kit with the same volume (l:l); (5) the agglutination observation is done after the 30, 60 and 90 min incubate at room temperature. The coagglutination test gave positive result in 25% of the test samples.展开更多
