Synthesis and Characterization of Poly (Methyl Methacrylate)/Polyethylenimine Grafting Core-Shell Nanoparticles for CO2 Adsorption Using Soap-Free Emulsion Copolymerization

Unlike previous emulsion polymerization, we used grafting reactions in soap-free emulsion systems. In this study, we synthesized grafted PMMA/PEI core-shell nanoparticles by varying the MMA/PEI content and molecular weight of PEI (Mn = 600, 8000, and 10,000). The size and morphology of the core-shell nanoparticles were characterized by a particle size analyzer and scanning electron microscopy. The nanoparticles were 178 - 408 nm in diameter and swelled in water or methanol by 30 - 75 nm. The size of the nanoparticles increased with MMA contents, whereas the size distribution progressively became homogeneous with increasing molecular weight of PEI. Lastly, we measured CO2 adsorption capacity of the grafted PMMA/PEI core-shell nanoparticles, and we found the capacity to be limited at a level of 0.69 mg, which occurred for nanoparticles prepared from emulsions at a pH value of 11.

MicroRNA-185-5p mediates regulation of SREBP2 expression by hepatitis C virus core protein

AIM: To investigate the molecular mechanism for regulation of cholesterol metabolism by hepatitis C virus(HCV) core protein in Hep G2 cells.METHODS: HCV genotype 1b core protein was cloned and expressed in Hep G2 cells. The cholesterol content was determined after transfection. The expression of sterol regulatory element binding protein 2(SREBP2) and the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis(HMGCR) was measured by quantitative real-time PCR and immunoblotting after transfection. The effects of core protein on the SREBP2 promoter and 3'-untranslated region were analyzed by luciferase assay. We used different target predictive algorithms, micro RNA(mi RNA) mimics/inhibitors, and site-directed mutation to identify a putative target of a particular mi RNA.RESULTS: HCV core protein expression in Hep G2 cells increased the total intracellular cholesterol level(4.05 ± 0.17 vs 6.47 ± 0.68, P = 0.001), and this increase corresponded to an increase in SREBP2 and HMGCR m RNA levels(P = 0.009 and 0.037, respectively) and protein expression. The molecular mechanism studyrevealed that the HCV core protein increased the expression of SREBP2 by enhancing its promoter activity(P = 0.004). In addition, mi R-185-5p expression was tightly regulated by the HCV core protein(P = 0.041). Moreover, overexpression of mi R-185-5p repressed the SREBP2 m RNA level(P = 0.022) and protein expression. In contrast, inhibition of mi R-185-5p caused upregulation of SREBP2 protein expression. mi R-185-5p was involved in the regulation of SREBP2 expression by HCV core protein. CONCLUSION: HCV core protein disturbs the cholesterol homeostasis in Hep G2 cells via the SREBP2 pathway; mi R-185-5p is involved in the regulation of SREBP2 by the core protein.

Intact Polar and Core Tetraether Lipids in Sediments from the Haiyang 4 Cold-seep of the Northern South China Sea and their Implications

A number of cold seeps have been discovered in the northern South China Sea(SCS) including the Haiyang 4 cold-seep area where Core 973-5 was collected. Intact polar lipids(IPLs) and core lipids(CLs) were analyzed separately in sediments from Core 973-5. The most abundant lipid biomarkers were isoprenoidal GDGTs(iso GDGTs), with Crenarchaeol and GDGT-0 predominating. IPL-iso GDGTs and CL-iso GDGTs were mainly derived from Thaumarchaeota. IPL-iso GDGTs were mainly produced and retained in situ thus containing most of the in situ microbiological information. Branched GDGTs were predominantly derived from generated in marine production, and mixed with some terrestrial inputs. All IPLs groups presented a high value in the sulfate-methane transition zone(SMTZ). Furthermore, IPL and CL-MI, IPL-R;showed the highest values within the SMTZ, while IPL and CL-R;had the lowest values at the SMTZ, suggesting that the contribution of Methanophila and methanogenic to GDGTs increased, while the contribution of ammonia-oxidizing Archaea to GDGTs decreased at the SMTZ.

Testing of Anti-stripping Property of Friction Spun Core Yarn

Friction spun core yarn has two components: filament core and staple fiber sheath. Under axial rubbing action, the failure mode of the core yarn is the stripping of the sheath from the core. This paper introduces a method to test the anti - stripping property of the core yarn. With a modified Universal Testing Machine, the stripping resistance of friction spun core yarn can be continuously measured. Some factors Influencing the measurements are discussed in detail. The testing results are compared with those from a Y731 Yarn Abrasion Tester and fur - ther confirmed by weaving practice.

利用核-壳亚3微米填料色谱技术快速测定镇痛类健康产品中25种非法添加药物

采用核-壳亚3微米填料色谱柱建立了快速测定镇痛类健康产品中25种非法添加解热镇痛类药物及糖皮质激素类药物的高效液相色谱法。样品经甲醇超声提取,用Phenomenex Kinetex XB-C_(18)色谱柱(100mm×4.6mm,2.6μm)分离,流动相为乙腈-甲醇(2+1)溶液和0.2mol·L^(-1)乙酸铵溶液(pH 4.2),梯度洗脱。采用二极管阵列检测器,外标法定量。25种药物的线性范围为1.0~100mg·L^(-1),检出限(3S/N)为0.02~0.10g·kg^(-1)。加标回收率为90.6%~110%,测定值的相对标准偏差(n=6)为0.42%~2.5%。方法用于分析66批镇痛类健康产品,发现24批阳性样品,检出8种药物成分。

电针步行核心肌肉运动点对亚急性期脑卒中患者下肢运动功能重建的影响

目的:观察电针步行核心肌肉运动点对亚急性期脑卒中患者下肢运动功能重建的影响。方法:选取符合纳入标准的脑卒中下肢运动功能障碍患者60例作为研究对象,根据Stata/SE 16.0生成的随机数序列,将患者随机分为两组,均给予中风病常规治疗。此外,对照组给予环跳、阳陵泉、阴陵泉、风市、足三里及太冲电针治疗,试验组给予股内侧肌、股外侧肌、胫骨前肌、腓骨长肌、股二头肌、半腱肌、腓肠内侧肌及比目鱼肌步行核心肌肉运动点电针治疗。治疗前后采用徒手肌力评定(MMT)测量下肢肌力、Holden步行功能分级量表(FAC)评定步行功能、改良Barthel量表(MBI)评定患者日常生活活动能力和表面肌电信号均方根值(RMS)评定肌肉实时收缩情况并对比两组治疗后的临床疗效。结果:两组患者MMT评分、FAC评分、MBI评分及RMS值治疗后分值均升高,治疗后两组患者MMT评分、FAC评分、MBI评分及RMS值组间比较,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05),且试验组总有效率为93.33%(28/30),优于对照组的70%(21/30)。结论:电针步行核心肌肉运动点能改善亚急性期脑卒中患者的下肢肌力、步行能力和日常生活活动能力,临床疗效明确。

核-壳结构SiO_2@α-Fe_2O_3亚微米球的制备及性能研究

采用两步溶胶-凝胶法制备了单分散、球形、亚微米级、壳层厚度可调的核-壳结构SiO2@α-Fe2O3亚微米球.借助X-射线衍射仪(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和紫外可见光谱仪(UVS)对结果样品的纯度、结构、形貌、尺寸和光催化性能进行了表征,探讨了样品的形成机理和光催化机理.实验结果表明,制备的样品由亚微米级(平均粒径400nm)SiO2核和粒径约为30nm的壳通过羟基键合作用连接而成,并显示出很强的光催化性能.

超高层框-筒结构施工过程的数值模拟

采用有限元程序ANSYS,建立超高层钢框架-核心筒结构的上部结构与地基基础共同作用的整体三维模型,利用ANSYS程序中生死单元技术,模拟分析上部结构逐层施工的过程,研究施工过程中筏板基础的沉降、内力及基底反力的变化规律,并分析了上部结构刚度对筏板基础受力及沉降的影响。考虑上部结构共同作用时,筏板基础的弯矩和差异沉降都将减小,有利于筏板基础受力。

From molecular dynamics to lattice Boltzmann:a new approach for pore-scale modeling of multi-phase flow

Most current lattice Boltzmann （LBM） models suffer from the deficiency that their parameters have to be obtained by fitting experimental results. In this paper, we propose a new method that integrates the molecular dynamics （MD） simulation and LBM to avoid such defect. The basic idea is to first construct a molecular model based on the actual components of the rock-fluid system, then to compute the interaction force between the rock and the fluid of different densities through the MD simulation. This calculated rock-fluid interaction force, combined with the fluid-fluid force determined from the equation of state, is then used in LBM modeling. Without parameter fitting, this study presents a new systematic approach for pore-scale modeling of multi-phase flow. We have validated this ap- proach by simulating a two-phase separation process and gas-liquid-solid three-phase contact angle. Based on an actual X-ray CT image of a reservoir core, we applied our workflow to calculate the absolute permeability of the core, vapor-liquid H20 relative permeability, and capillary pressure curves.

Reaction Rate Characteristics of SrBr2 Hydration System for Chemical Heat Pump Cooling Mode

Here, we propose a chemical heat pump chiller with a SrBr2 hydration reaction system for utilization of waste heat. The SrBr2 hydration reaction could recover waste heat in low temperatures ranging from 373 K to 353 K, and the system showed good potential in terms of the high cooling thermal-storage density. Previous studies have given little information on the reaction characteristics of the SrBr2 hydration reaction. In this paper, we developed a measuring method for the hydration reaction equilibrium and reaction rate based on the volumetric method. We analyzed the hydration reaction rate with an unreacted-core shell model. In the experiments, the SrBr2 equilibrium temperature observed was equal to the theoretical equilibrium temperature obtained from thermodynamic databases. In addition, the hysteresis gap between the hydration and dehydration values was 2.0 K. Thus, the hysteresis effect was negligible for the chemical heat pump cooling operation. The reaction fraction of the SrBr2 hydration reached 0.7 within 20 s. By analyzing the hydration reaction rate with the unreacted-core shell model, the activation energy value was calculated to be56.6 kJ/mol. The calculation results showed good agreement with those of the experiment as the reaction fraction reached 0.7.

Inflationary effects of oil prices and domestic gasoline prices:Markov-switching-VAR analysis

The purpose of this study is to contribute to the literature by studying the effects of sudden changes both on crude oil import price and domestic gasoline price on inflation for Turkey, an emerging country. Since an inflation targeting regime is being carried out by the Central Bank of Turkey, determination of such effects is becoming more important. Therefore empirical evidence in this paper will serve as guidance for those countries, which have an in- flation targeting regime. Analyses have been done in the period of October 2005-December 2012 by Markovswitching vector autoregressive （MS-VAR） models which are successful in capturing the nonlinear properties of variables. Using MS-VAR analysis, it is found that there are 2 regimes in the analysis period. Furthermore, regime changes can be dated and the turning points of economic cycles can be determined. In addition, it is found that the effect of the changes in crude oil and domestic gasoline prices on consumer prices and core inflation is not the same under different regimes. Moreover, the sudden increase in gasoline price is more important for consumer price infla- tion than crude oil price shocks. Another finding is the presence of a pass-through effect from oil price and ga- soline price to core inflation.

Fuelling and Diagnostics with Pellet Injection in the HL-1M Tokamak

The pellet injection experiments for fuelling and diagnostics have been carried out on the HL-1M tokamak. The eight-pellet injector was installed on HL-1M. A reliable monitordetector and camera system was set up to take initial pellet photographs and measure the initial pellet speed and size. High fuelling efficiency of 60 % - 100 % and a density profile with a peaking factor of 1.8 - 2.0 were obtained. The maximum density close to 10^14/cm^3 in HL-1M was achieved with newly optimized combined fuelling techniques. Two typical models of pellet ablation have been utilized for simulative calculation of the ablation rates in HL-1M. In comparison with the distribution of the measured Hα emission intensity from the digital data of the CCD camera, the experimental result seems more optimistic for core fuelling than theoretical predictions by the two models. The safety factor profile q（r） has been extracted from the information provided by the CCD camera during the pellet injection. The reliability of the measured results depends mainly on the calibration of the imaging space position. Based on the calibration, the measured q-profile becomes more reasonable than those published previously for the same shot number and same photograph.

Comparative Study between Magnetite Nanoparticles and Magnetite/Silver as a Core/Shell Nanostructure

Magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) and magnetite/silver nanoparticles (M/Ag NPs) were synthesized by chemical co-precipitation of Fe2+ and Fe3+. In case of M/Ag NPs, MNPs (core) were separately coated by silver metal (shell) in presence of glucose as a reducing agent. The particle size and morphology of the nanoparticles were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Magnetic properties were investigated by vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). The superparamagnetic natures of the nanoparticles were confirmed by the absence of the hysteresis loop. Coverage with silver produced a core-shell heterostructure which weakens magnetization of MNPs, inducing an inert character to the fnal nanostructure. The surface conjugation of MNPs with silver metal has been employed in order to improve the compatibility of magnetite nanoparticles to overcome their limitations in practical applications.

Furthermore, the classes （^ ～f： μ） and （μ ： f） of infinite matrices are characterized for any given sequence space μ, and determined the necessary and sufficient conditions on a matrix A to satisfy Bc-core（Ax） K-core（x）, K-core（Ax） Bg-core（x）, Bc-core（Ax） Be-core（x）, Bc-core（Ax） t-core（x） for all x ∈ t∞.
