The new generation of world information technology revolution has promoted the vigorous development and rapid transform of the new economy.The in-depth implementation of a series of Chinese important national strategies such as“Made in China 2025”and“Internet+”is urgently needed the support of innovative and outstanding emerging engineering talents with cross-border integration abilities.Therefore,interdisciplinary education plays an important role in the training of the needed emerging engineering talents.Taking cybersecurity as an example,this paper summarizes the professional’s requirements and proposes the educational objectives of Harbin Institute of Technology.Then the objective oriented curriculum system and the teaching model emphasizing project-based learning are introduced.The practice and effect of interdisciplinary education are discussed and analyzed in four aspects including curriculum system,faculty,students and academy education.Finally,suggestions are made on the individualized education and sustainable competitiveness cultivation of the emerging engineering talents. 展开更多

To effectively deal with fuzzy and uncertain information in public engineering emergencies,an emergency decision-making method based on multi-granularity language information is proposed.Firstly,decision makers select the appropriate language phrase set according to their own situation,give the preference information of the weight of each key indicator,and then transform the multi-granularity language information through consistency.On this basis,the sequential optimization technology of the approximately ideal scheme is introduced to obtain the weight coefficient of each key indicator.Subsequently,the weighted average operator is used to aggregate the preference information of each alternative scheme with the relative importance of decision-makers and the weight of key indicators in sequence,and the comprehensive evaluation value of each scheme is obtained to determine the optimal scheme.Lastly,the effectiveness and practicability of the method are verified by taking the earthwork collapse accident in the construction of a reservoir as an example. 展开更多

Resistive random-access memory(RRAM),also known as memristors,having a very simple device structure with two terminals,fulfill almost all of the fundamental requirements of volatile memory,nonvolatile memory,and neuromorphic characteristics.Its memory and neuromorphic behaviors are currently being explored in relation to a range of materials,such as biological materials,perovskites,2D materials,and transition metal oxides.In this review,we discuss the different electrical behaviors exhibited by RRAM devices based on these materials by briefly explaining their corresponding switching mechanisms.We then discuss emergent memory technologies using memristors,together with its potential neuromorphic applications,by elucidating the different material engineering techniques used during device fabrication to improve the memory and neuromorphic performance of devices,in areas such as ION/IOFF ratio,endurance,spike time-dependent plasticity(STDP),and paired-pulse facilitation(PPF),among others.The emulation of essential biological synaptic functions realized in various switching materials,including inorganic metal oxides and new organic materials,as well as diverse device structures such as single-layer and multilayer hetero-structured devices,and crossbar arrays,is analyzed in detail.Finally,we discuss current challenges and future prospects for the development of inorganic and new materials-based memristors. 展开更多

A pioneering self-optimizing teaching method in student-centric seminars was introduced in this paper, in which each student will establish preferred engineering drawing process directed by educators and necessary principles. We presented the working-memory centered mechanism in mental aspect to explain the phenomena. The theoretical mechanism is based on the typical translation between orthographic projection image and perspective image. The first is bonding object into a whole solid. The second is splicing the selected surfaces of objects and tailored them together. Two study groups were determined: an experimental group, who were directed to combine the object-based and surface-based construction methods in the presentations, and a control group, who learned through regular presentations made by an experienced teacher during the same period. The results showed that a significant enhancement in average scores has been achieved in the test among the experimental group in comparison with the control group. The variance of the scores is obviously reduced through the self-optimizing learning strategy, indicating a significant advantage on filling up the ability gaps among students. In fact, the results also indicated that the educator did keep the lesson in high quality. But it is worthy of more attention that the difference of mental manipulation habits between some students and educator may lead to a polarization in score distribution. So the seminar is a promising method to help the students to combine the object-based and surface-based construction methods. 展开更多

Classroom teaching is a vital part of postgraduate education. The deficiencies of traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods for the postgraduate education of Master of Software Engineering in China are analyzed. The Engineering Education Accreditation and its education quality evaluation methods are introduced briefly, and the strengths of applying these methods for the classroom teaching quality evaluation are discussed. Based on the ideas and evaluation framework of Engineering Education Accreditation, adopting the merits of the traditional methods, a student-centered classroom teaching quality evaluation system is proposed to evaluate and continually improve the classroom teaching quality of Master of Software Engineering. The quality evaluation system covers teaching goals, teacher performance, student performance, teaching effect, supporting conditions and continual improvement totally six aspects. The advanced concepts and ideas of Engineering Education Accreditation and the merits of the traditional classroom teaching quality evaluation methods are both adopted in the proposed classroom teaching quality evaluation system. 展开更多
