In this ...Although Web 2.0 tools like blogs and wikis have been used for supporting collaborative learning in higher education, there are not many reports about implementation of that resource on engineering in Brazil. In this way, the main purpose of this research is to use a wiki platform for online activities and evaluate how students collaborate with each other in online tasks. It was investigated how collaboration can be measured on wiki platform During four-week online activities, 40 students of Civil Engineering course were monitored on Wikispaces~ platform. All students' actions were analyzed and classified as low, medium, or high level of collaboration. The data were collected through the statistical reports of Wikispaces~ and Google Analytics platforms. It computed 336 students' actions: 16.67% as high level, 45.24% as medium, and 38.10% as low. During informal interview, most of students (70%) related that wiki was a nice tool for collaboration work. The results indicated that wiki platform is an important way to develop innovative activities and tasks for the purpose of improving engineers' abilities and skills such as: writing communication, organization, collaboration, and critical thinking development.展开更多

A leading role is unimaginable to them and h...All engineering students need to develop their important skills of leadership in project management. Many students have never been leaders in their social and school lives. A leading role is unimaginable to them and hence they cannot imagine how to achieve it. The purpose of this paper is to report a result of a new leadership education program which links a variety of simulated experiences with real actions of students in project based learning (PBL) to develop their leadership ability. The first step is for graduate students to gain knowledge in the leadership arena. Then, they utilize simulation to experience leadership actions many times. Simulation provides a safe environment in which they can try out many different approaches in taking leadership in various situations. In the next step, students as a team utilize PBL, so that the above simulated experiences can help them to actually take leadership. Students can apply trained leadership to actual projects. It is highly effective to apply conscious leadership to a project aimed at a specific goal in limited circumstances. This education repeats both of the steps above, raising leadership abilities in an upward spiral. In terms of students' evaluation of leadership education in project management, 360-degree assessments were carried out by teachers, senior, and junior students before and after the course, and authors compare their assessments thoroughly. As a result, authors are assured that students not only gained knowledge but also raised leadership abilities in their actions after this education. Six months after the time of leadership education employing simulated experiences and PBL, follow-up interviews were conducted on its effects. Authors recognized the cyclic period that students apply simulated experiences to PBL and that they seek different approaches in simulation for solving problems found in reality. This research concludes that this cycle of simulator and PBL can produce effective leadership actions.展开更多

In light of the essential vision of Saudi Arabia’s government towards the fractional change of reliance on oil as a national wellspring of economy, there is consideration for dependence on resources available inside the country, especially the potentials of renewable sources as alternatives. Saudi Arabia appreciates its geographical advantage inside the sun-belt zone, which has the most impressive sun-situated radiation total on earth. It is a correlative ideal position to consider interest in this valuable asset, through which it can achieve its vision by virtue of its promising whole deal prospects. This study highlights an approach for creating sunlight-based maps that examines the intensity of sun-radiation and its viability to deliver power. The system is to record the measures of sunlight radiation from several allocated data acquisition sites over the study area and balance them with the standard count, and later, make a sun-map in light of the yield. The reason that this small scale water elevator was constructed was to get a better understanding of such real world applications. As developing engineers, students have to grasp how to implement the theory they learn in the classroom. The properties of the water elevator were described with the energy equation, conservation of mass, volumetric flow rate, and hydrostatic pressure. After conducting various tests, theoretical and experimental values were compared and an analysis of the data was assembled allowing for the development of a more thorough understanding of fluid mechanics.展开更多

Because of many and various achieved business successes by different working groups as well as the methodology geographical dispersion throughout the world. Multi-faceted Kansei has been developed for the last 20 years in a very wide and varied way. The Kansei has experienced as if talking of a tree, a branching experience still going on nowadays. Today we can speak from Kansei in theory, Kansei emotion measurement, Kansei engineering, Kansei information, Kansei education, Kansei design to Kansei in practice and many other disciplines. Three years ago, our team started the experience to introduce Kansei in the educational atmosphere, applying it to the final degree projects. In the School of Building Engineering at the Universitat Polit^cnica de Valencia and inside its final degree project proposal, a workshop on Kansei engineering was offered. During these years at the eighth semester of the building engineer degree, students have been working for almost five months under the supervision of a team of teachers on their final project till the final public oral defense was made in front of a committee. During these years, we have worked with an average of 10 students per year. Some have successfully completed their final projects, others have not achieved the minimum required. The article aims to explain the experience during the last three years the team has accumulated in Kansei education, and can be of interest for every teacher or lecturer.展开更多
Signals from lumbar primary afferent fibers are important for modulating locomotion of the hind-limbs.However,silver impregnation techniques,autoradiography,wheat germ agglutinin-horseradish peroxidase and cholera tox...Signals from lumbar primary afferent fibers are important for modulating locomotion of the hind-limbs.However,silver impregnation techniques,autoradiography,wheat germ agglutinin-horseradish peroxidase and cholera toxin B subunit-horseradish peroxidase cannot image the central projections and connections of the dorsal root in detail.Thus,we injected 3-k Da Texas red-dextran amine into the proximal trunks of L4 dorsal roots in adult rats.Confocal microscopy results revealed that numerous labeled arborizations and varicosities extended to the dorsal horn from T12–S4,to Clarke's column from T10–L2,and to the ventral horn from L1–5.The labeled varicosities at the L4 cord level were very dense,particularly in laminae I–Ⅲ,and the density decreased gradually in more rostral and caudal segments.In addition,they were predominately distributed in laminae I–IV,moderately in laminae V–VⅡ and sparsely in laminae VⅢ–X.Furthermore,direct contacts of lumbar afferent fibers with propriospinal neurons were widespread in gray matter.In conclusion,the projection and connection patterns of L4 afferents were illustrated in detail by Texas red-dextran amine-dorsal root tracing.展开更多

Successfu...Evaluating care pathways, strengthening patient education, developing staff’s patient education skills, and improving collaboration between primary and special healthcare workers are all topical challenges. Successful patient education requires seamless cooperation across organizational boundaries throughout the whole nursing process. The aim of this study is to describe participants’ experiences of development work between primary and special health care units on patient education. In this qualitative descriptive study twenty four health care workers who took part in development work in a collaborative project of special and primary health care service in northern Finland were interviewed when they had nine months’ experience of the development work. The material was analysed using content analysis. Experiences of the nature of development work were described using the following categories: attachment to development work, delight in participation, factors supporting success and challenges of development work. Improvement of co-operation between special and primary health service is a topical challenge. Participation in development work offers occupational learning opportunities. Evaluation and development of own work strengthens staff members’ occupational know-how. The results of this research may be utilized in the planning and execution of development work in the field of health care.展开更多

Taking red culture as the starting point, this paper discusses the strategy of integrating red cultural resources into patriotic education activities of teenagers, points out the existing problems in the current integration of red culture into patriotic education activities of teenagers and finds out the reasons;clarify the relevant concepts of red culture and patriotic education activities for young people;from the three aspects of integrating curriculum resources to enhance the significance of red culture education, creating a red environment to create a red education atmosphere, and digging deep into red cultural resources, this paper discusses the strategy of integrating red culture into patriotic education activities for young people, aiming to promote the organic combination of patriotic education activities and red culture for young people, and increase national and cultural self-confidence.

文摘Zhenjiang has always been a city of heroes,where revolutionary heroes shed their blood and red genes are passed down from generation to generation.In terms of the Zhenjiang region,a hundred years of struggle to cast the“Iron Army Spirit”of the New Fourth Army in Mao Mountain Anti-Japanese Base Area,the“Yafu Spirit”that lived up to the people’s expectations of fighting for the city’s glory and poverty alleviation,and the“war spirit”of southern Jiangsu,which was first encountered under Zhenjiang City and was decapitated by the small Lou Lan and other“Zhenjiang symbols”series of Chinese Communist Party spiritual spectrum.The red elements of“Zhenjiang symbols”consists of the blood,tears,and wisdom of the revolutionary predecessors,and shine with the glorious deeds of revolutionary battles.Compared with other schools,vocational colleges are colleges with applied application,practical,and close to nature.How to integrate the red elements of“Zhenjiang symbols”into the classroom of local vocational colleges and a give role to the function of red education has become an important subject of ideological and political education in vocational colleges.
文摘Prefabricated building is an important building development mode at present.It can improve the development speed and production efficiency of the construction industry,reduce the labor intensity of construction,play an important role in the development as well as the modernization of the construction industry.Due to the late development of prefabricated buildings,the talent training of prefabricated buildings lags behind,causing the development of prefabricated buildings to not achieve its required target.Therefore,the characteristics of intelligent construction need to be incorporated,the education of prefabricated buildings needs to be reformed,the education regarding digital management of prefabricated buildings should be improved,and more professional talents should be nurtured.

文摘The new generation of world information technology revolution has promoted the vigorous development and rapid transform of the new economy.The in-depth implementation of a series of Chinese important national strategies such as“Made in China 2025”and“Internet+”is urgently needed the support of innovative and outstanding emerging engineering talents with cross-border integration abilities.Therefore,interdisciplinary education plays an important role in the training of the needed emerging engineering talents.Taking cybersecurity as an example,this paper summarizes the professional’s requirements and proposes the educational objectives of Harbin Institute of Technology.Then the objective oriented curriculum system and the teaching model emphasizing project-based learning are introduced.The practice and effect of interdisciplinary education are discussed and analyzed in four aspects including curriculum system,faculty,students and academy education.Finally,suggestions are made on the individualized education and sustainable competitiveness cultivation of the emerging engineering talents.
文摘There has been extreme utilization of petroleum derivatives in recent decades for the generation of electrical vitality, which is contaminating nature in a regularly expanding approach to respond to the exponential demand for electrical power. In light of the essential vision of Saudi Arabia’s government towards the fractional change of reliance on oil as a national wellspring of economy, there is consideration for dependence on resources available inside the country, especially the potentials of renewable sources as alternatives. Saudi Arabia appreciates its geographical advantage inside the sun-belt zone, which has the most impressive sun-situated radiation total on earth. It is a correlative ideal position to consider interest in this valuable asset, through which it can achieve its vision by virtue of its promising whole deal prospects. This study highlights an approach for creating sunlight-based maps that examines the intensity of sun-radiation and its viability to deliver power. The system is to record the measures of sunlight radiation from several allocated data acquisition sites over the study area and balance them with the standard count, and later, make a sun-map in light of the yield. Likewise, the study will register the rate of energy from sun-situated radiation for the area and make preliminary proposals for the achievement of this test.
文摘This project involves modeling a water elevator in order to study its behavior and relate its mechanical advantages to various fluid mechanics properties. The reason that this small scale water elevator was constructed was to get a better understanding of such real world applications. As developing engineers, students have to grasp how to implement the theory they learn in the classroom. The properties of the water elevator were described with the energy equation, conservation of mass, volumetric flow rate, and hydrostatic pressure. After conducting various tests, theoretical and experimental values were compared and an analysis of the data was assembled allowing for the development of a more thorough understanding of fluid mechanics.
文摘Since the earliest Kansei works saw the light more than 30 years ago, the Kansei has boomed exponentially. Because of many and various achieved business successes by different working groups as well as the methodology geographical dispersion throughout the world. Multi-faceted Kansei has been developed for the last 20 years in a very wide and varied way. The Kansei has experienced as if talking of a tree, a branching experience still going on nowadays. Today we can speak from Kansei in theory, Kansei emotion measurement, Kansei engineering, Kansei information, Kansei education, Kansei design to Kansei in practice and many other disciplines. Three years ago, our team started the experience to introduce Kansei in the educational atmosphere, applying it to the final degree projects. In the School of Building Engineering at the Universitat Polit^cnica de Valencia and inside its final degree project proposal, a workshop on Kansei engineering was offered. During these years at the eighth semester of the building engineer degree, students have been working for almost five months under the supervision of a team of teachers on their final project till the final public oral defense was made in front of a committee. During these years, we have worked with an average of 10 students per year. Some have successfully completed their final projects, others have not achieved the minimum required. The article aims to explain the experience during the last three years the team has accumulated in Kansei education, and can be of interest for every teacher or lecturer.

文摘Signals from lumbar primary afferent fibers are important for modulating locomotion of the hind-limbs.However,silver impregnation techniques,autoradiography,wheat germ agglutinin-horseradish peroxidase and cholera toxin B subunit-horseradish peroxidase cannot image the central projections and connections of the dorsal root in detail.Thus,we injected 3-k Da Texas red-dextran amine into the proximal trunks of L4 dorsal roots in adult rats.Confocal microscopy results revealed that numerous labeled arborizations and varicosities extended to the dorsal horn from T12–S4,to Clarke's column from T10–L2,and to the ventral horn from L1–5.The labeled varicosities at the L4 cord level were very dense,particularly in laminae I–Ⅲ,and the density decreased gradually in more rostral and caudal segments.In addition,they were predominately distributed in laminae I–IV,moderately in laminae V–VⅡ and sparsely in laminae VⅢ–X.Furthermore,direct contacts of lumbar afferent fibers with propriospinal neurons were widespread in gray matter.In conclusion,the projection and connection patterns of L4 afferents were illustrated in detail by Texas red-dextran amine-dorsal root tracing.
文摘Evaluating care pathways, strengthening patient education, developing staff’s patient education skills, and improving collaboration between primary and special healthcare workers are all topical challenges. Successful patient education requires seamless cooperation across organizational boundaries throughout the whole nursing process. The aim of this study is to describe participants’ experiences of development work between primary and special health care units on patient education. In this qualitative descriptive study twenty four health care workers who took part in development work in a collaborative project of special and primary health care service in northern Finland were interviewed when they had nine months’ experience of the development work. The material was analysed using content analysis. Experiences of the nature of development work were described using the following categories: attachment to development work, delight in participation, factors supporting success and challenges of development work. Improvement of co-operation between special and primary health service is a topical challenge. Participation in development work offers occupational learning opportunities. Evaluation and development of own work strengthens staff members’ occupational know-how. The results of this research may be utilized in the planning and execution of development work in the field of health care.
