Coupling coordination analysis of Mazu culture,socio-economy and ecological environment of Meizhou Island

Taking the pilgrimage,tourism and cultural island of Meizhou Island as an example,the evaluation index system of the coupling and coordinated development of“Mazu culture,socio-economy,eco-environment”(MSE)compound system was constructed.The index weights were determined by AHP-entropy method,and the coupling degree,coordinated degree,comprehensive evaluation index and grey correlation degree of MSE system of Mazu Island from 2012 to 2022 were measure.The results showed that:(1)the comprehensive evaluation indexes of the three subsystems was on the rise in general,but the evaluation index of the ecological subsystems increased relatively slowly.(2)The coupling degree was only in the running-in stage in 2012,and the other years were in the coordinated coupling stage.(3)The coupling coordination degree increased from 0.35 in 2012 to 0.82 in 2022,the coupling coordination level was changed from mild imbalance to good coordination.(4)Through the comparison of grey correlation degree,the 24 indexes in the evaluation index system had great influence on the coupling coordination degree of MSE system.The coupling coordination degree was closely related to the development of socio-economy and the spread of Mazu culture.With the rapid development of tourism brought about by the spread of Mazu culture,the pressure on the ecological environment will be increasing.Compared with the rapid growth of tourism and economy,it is equally important to strengthen environmental protection and pay attention to the quality of ecological environment development.

Exploring Regional Ecological Cultures in the Upper Reaches of the Yellow River in the Ming and Qing Dynasties from the Perspective of "Top Eight Views"

By studying typical "Top Eight Views" in cities like Xining,Lanzhou and Yinchuan in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,mountain and water landscapes in the study area were analyzed in terms of natural ecology;bridges,canals,ferries,pavilions,mansions,towers,temples,historical sites,production and living landscapes were analyzed in terms of humanistic ecology.On this basis,"Top Eight Views" in the upper reaches of the Yellow River were compared and the following conclusions obtained:mountain landscapes were distributed in the whole region,waterscapes unevenly valued in different cities,bridges,canals and ferries mostly located in Ningxia,temples commonly found in all cities,garden arts introduced into cities,traditional cultures carried forward by historical relics.Then the relationship between "Top Eight Views" and regional eco-cultures was analyzed,and it was proposed that humanistic and cultural connotations of these "Top Eight Views" contributed a lot to beautifying urban environment,satisfying needs of the locals' spiritual life,carrying forward local history and culture,enriching urban cultural connotations,expanding living spaces of local residents and improving integrated functions of cities."Top Eight Views" culture complied with the construction gist of urban ecological cultures,and was of great referential value for the construction of urban ecological cultures in the upper reaches of the Yellow River,and also the healthy,scientific and sustainable development of local cities.

Ecological Culture in Traditional Chinese Vernacular Dwellings

Traditional Chinese vernacular dwellings take root in farming culture with profound connotations. Through analyzing ecological thoughts and cultural ideas in traditional vernacular dwellings, this study aims to provide references for the design of modern vernacular dwellings. It is proposed in this study that ① Ecological thoughts of traditional vernacular dwellings include the simple eco-thought of 'human-nature oneness', Fengshui (traditional Chinese ideas hold that the location of a house or tomb is supposed to have an influence on the fortune of a family) theories of 'balance of yin and yang', energy-saving thought of 'making the best use of local advantages'. Traditional vernacular dwellings are mainly constructed according to local conditions, facing the sunny side and water, backing on the shady side and mountains, with local materials and suitable construction structures for local environment and climatic conditions, which enable residents to enjoy warm winter and cool summer, sufficient sunshine, excellent ventilation and heat-proof, wind and humidity proof, that is, a natural ecological living environment. ② Cultural thoughts of traditional vernacular dwellings include the strict and square philosophical ideas as well as harmonious artistic thoughts. Traditional Chinese vernacular dwellings demonstrate morals and ethics by strict and square patterns and strong sense of hierarchy, most of them have definite axes in spatial patterns to show the hierarchy and core of construction groups; abstract patterns of flower, grass, animal or human beings are also often applied in detailed designs, showing esthetic tastes. The formation of traditional Chinese vernacular dwellings has been closely linked with social and cultural factors, living habits, geographical, water and soil, environmental and climatic conditions as well as folk customs, which can provide significant references for the design and reformation of modern new-type vernacular dwellings.

Carry forw ard Soil and Water Ecological Culture and Build Rich and Beautiful Home

The most directly expressions of the relationships between human and nature lie in the relationships between human and water,human and soil（ stone）,human and vegetation（ plant）. Water,soil and vegetation are interdependent,restricted coexisted and developed from one another,which are integrated and correlated. The history of human＇s survival and development on the earth is one related continuously with water,soil（ stone）,vegetation（ plant）,which involves with the protection and reasonable utilization of water,soil and vegetation resources（ also known as soil and water ecological resources）,and it has summarized and accumulated abundant culture concerned with the harmonious coexistence of human with water,soil and vegetation,which is the soil and water ecological culture. All peoples of China have accumulated rich soil and water ecological culture in the long term,such as integrated view of nature,nature admiring,nature praising,nature protection and reasonable utilization of nature. It is especially important and urgent in the current times to carry forward soil and water ecological culture.

Study on Original Ecological Tridimensional Slope Vegetation

No matter from the perspective of slope protection, landscape effect and construction cost, or from the perspective of ecological benefit, the development of original ecological tridimensional vegetation has become the inevitable trend for slope vegetation in pursuit of protecting ecological condition, decreasing soil erosion, maintaining ecological balance and beautifying environment of slope. The concept of original ecological tridimensional slope vegetation is proposed in this paper, and the original ecological tridimensional slope vegetation is studied through theoretical analysis and experiments. Specifically, the mechanical effect of slope vegetation in reinforcing the cohesion and shear strength of soil mass is firstly discussed, and then experiments are performed to study the water interception and containing function of slope under various vegetation conditions. Moreover, the relation between soil moisture and cohesion, the relation between root distribution density and cohesion, and the relation between root distribution density and soil shear strength are also studied based on experiments.Finally, based on field observation, the soil erosion states of slope under various vegetation conditions are comparatively studied. It is found that the original ecological tridimensional slope, which combines grass,shrub and tree, can generate comprehensive slope protection effects, and hence strengthen the slope protection ability and bring multiple slope protection benefits. Thereby, the theoretical foundation for developing original ecological tridimensional slope vegetation is established.

Ecological Benefits of Compound Ridge Culture in Hillside Orchard in the Three Gorge Reservoir Area

Based on contour tillage of wide ridge and furrow covering and agro-forestry, this paper sets up a compound ridge culture mode in hillside orchards and introduces a long-term observation to the mode＇s effects on ecological benefits of water and soil conservation. A five-year study shows that compound ridge culture in hillside orchards is effective in water and soil conservation, especially in reducing soil erosion. Compared with the traditional management modes of orchards, compound ridge culture has reduced runoff amount by 41.96%-57.96%, soil erosion amount by 55.47%-67.75%. Compound ridge culture also brings an obvious reduction of soil nutrient loss and of non-point source pollution, which is of great importance for keeping and increasing the productivity of hillside orchards in the Three Gorge Reservoir Area.

Developing digital culture industries is one of the important social planning strategies in China in the new era.China’s digital culture industries has continued to grow in recent years,but there are still a series of problems such as imperfect industrial ecological chain structure,lack of development and innovation content,and small scale of ecological platform.At this stage,in order to build a sustainable ecological system for the development of digital culture industries in the new era,we should focus on the development of key areas related to digital culture industries,guide the development of industrial agglomeration,cultivate large-scale leading enterprises,strengthen the support of industry chain,build an innovative ecological model,and increase policy support.Only in this way can the digital culture industries be pushed into a benign ecological system as soon as possible and cultivated into a new momentum for the development of China’s culture industries in the new era.

Research on Rural Landscape Design from the Perspective of Ecological Culture

Although rural landscape design brings convenience to farmers,there are many problems such as severe homogenization,lack of local culture and lack of comprehensive planning.The distant points of planning are refl ected by highlighting distinctive regional culture,advocating construction of ecological culture,and encouraging protection of traditional architecture.The problems in rural landscape design are settled by solving three agricultural problems and promoting the development of rural tourism,so as to achieve the coordinated development of rural economy and culture.

An Analysis on the Influence of Marine Culture and Marine Ecological Environment Protection: Based on the Research Data of St. John's Island

The discovery,protection,and publicity of the marine cultural image will not only affect the economic benefits,but also affect the environmental planning decisions made by the government and have a major impact on marine ecological environmental protection.This article is based on the analysis of the marine cultural protection,ecological environment protection and tourists'relative willingness for environmental consumption on St.John's Island in Singapore.The author discovers that tourists'environmental consumption willingness for St.John's Island includes three different types:cultural environment,ecological environment,and economic convenience environment.From the perspective of the island's cultural cognition,due to insufficient cultural protection awareness and the influence of the surrounding island cultures,tourists have insufficient cognition and cognitive deviations on the historical and ecological culture of St.John's Island,which cannot promote the government planning decision making that are conducive to the island's cultural dissemination and ecological protection.This article uses the CVM method to further propose relevant countermeasures for establishing an accessible ecological protection zone from the perspective of the mechanism of marine culture's impact on marine ecological environmental protection,in order to look forward to promoting the government to make planning decisions that are more conducive to the symbiotic development of marine culture and marine ecological environment through the cultivation and establishment of marine cultural awareness.

Fusion and Symbiosis: Innovation Practice of Grassland Ecological Culture in the Horizon of World Ecological Civilization

In the era of globalization,ecological crisis occurs frequently.As the foundation of the grassland nation,endogenetic effect of grassland ecological culture to the sustainable development of grassland is more and more important.The symbiosis theory came from the natural ecology,which includes the philosophical implication of sharing weal and woe with the universal life,and emphasizes the harmony,unity and symbiosis of all ecological elements.Nowadays if want to approach the challenge of grassland ecological culture,it should use the symbiosis and fusion theory to nourish innovation of grassland ecological culture,and construct concentric circle culture system based on organic unity of grassland nation,grassland ecological culture and world ecological civilization.It must bring the grassland ecological culture into the world ecological civilization,so both two should interact each other.It also should create an internal security mechanism by using the co-treatment thinking to strengthen the grassland ecological culture.All of these should basically find a way about organic fusion and sustainable development of grassland nation and global natural ecology.

The Effects of Pen Fish Culture on the Ecological Environments of Taihu Lake

Effects of pen fish culture in Taihu lake were studied and summarized. During 1984 to 2001, pen fish culture of Taihu lake developed from extensive models to intensive and high-returned ones, the cultured species were shifted from fishes to crabs. Pen fish culture has caused eutrophication and detrimental effect to the ecological environment and fishery. The measures of sustainable development for pen fish culture and ecological environment protection were suggested.

Marine Ecological Civilization Construction Based on Marine Ecological Culture

Marine ecological civilization is an important part of the socialist ecological civilization, and marine ecological civilization construction is the fundamental way to realize the sustainable development of coastal economy and society. Moreover, it has great theoretical and practical signifi- cance. In this paper, from the perspective of marine ecological culture, the important significance of building marine ecological civilization was ex- plored, and the problems existing in marine ecological civilization construction were analyzed from four aspects of management system, marine in- dustry, ecological action and marine culture. According to the problems, a series of measures to build marine ecological civilization were put for- ward, such as improving marine management system, optimizing marine industrial structure, strengthening infrastructure construction in coastal are- as, and speeding up the development of marine cultural creative industries.

Effects of Tibetan Traditional Ecological Culture on Ecological Environment of Tibetan Areas

Firstly, the characteristics and roles of Tibetan traditional ecological culture were introduced, and then the predicament of Tibetan traditional ecological culture when facing modem ecological problems was analyzed, finally some suggestions giving full play to the active roles of Tibetan traditional ecological culture were put forward, such as paying more attention to the beneficial factors of Tibetan traditional ecological culture, capturing the bonding point of Tibetan traditional ecological culture and modern science, and meeting legitimate development demand and rationally developing and utilizing natural resources.

Evaluation on Port Ecological Culture——Take Yangshan Port of Shanghai as an Example

Combining development demand of the port and characteristics and role of the culture, and using information precipitation method and common factor extraction method of factor-analysis dimensionality reduction, three-grade indicator system of the port ecological culture is construc- ted. By using AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, evaluation model of the port ecological culture is established. By combining the construction of ecological culture in Yangshan Port, case analysis is conducted. Result shows that ecological culture development in Yangshan Port is below moderate level, and Yangshan Port needs to strengthen ecological culture construction to improve whole average level. Finally, for ecologi- cal culture construction of the enterprise, we propose suggestions that enterprise can refer the designed indicator and weight, and clarify focus and direction of the construction.

Ecological Cultures of Traditional Hani Villages

Villages of Hani Nationality are located above the elevation of 1,400-1,800 m, halfway up the Ailao Mountains in south Yunnan, natural landscapes and architectural structure of Hani Nationality show peculiar styles. Folk dwellings of Hani Village were divided into 4 types, namely rammed-clay house(Tuzhangfang), mushroom house, tile-roofed house, and stilted house(Ganlanfang). In terms of the origination, rammed-clay house and mushroom house are originated from the flat-top fort buildings of the Di and the Qiang nationalities. Tile-roofed house is the variation of mushroom house by learning from the courtyard building of the Han Nationality, and stilted house is directly borrowed from the folk dwelling style of Baiyue people. Structures of all these buildings show the adaptability to local environment.

Nature/Culture Dichotomy in China’s Ecological Resettlement Policy——Research based on Wustu Village,IMAR,PRC

Ecological resettlement,as a subsidiary policy of the Central Government’s environmental policy,is now attracting increasing domestic and international attention.The amount of immigrants involved in the policy serves as one reason to raise concerns about the issue,and its side effects (especially the loss of ethnic cultures and the dilemma of some ethnic minority herders and farmers) gave rise to multi-lateral discussions about the policy.The ecological and economic effects of the policy are the primary focus of present research,while the cultural analysis (esp.concerning the social and political forces that fostered and implemented the policy) of the State’s environmental and ecological resettlement policy is lacking.Based on my field research in Wustu village,IMAR,this paper relates the cultural basis of these policies with China’s desire to establish a harmonious society and argues that respect for minority cultures as well as local participation of immigrants are key to solving China’s environment issues.
