The proliferation of maliciously coded documents as file transfers increase has led to a rise in sophisticated attacks.Portable Document Format(PDF)files have emerged as a major attack vector for malware due to their ...The proliferation of maliciously coded documents as file transfers increase has led to a rise in sophisticated attacks.Portable Document Format(PDF)files have emerged as a major attack vector for malware due to their adaptability and wide usage.Detecting malware in PDF files is challenging due to its ability to include various harmful elements such as embedded scripts,exploits,and malicious URLs.This paper presents a comparative analysis of machine learning(ML)techniques,including Naive Bayes(NB),K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Average One Dependency Estimator(A1DE),RandomForest(RF),and SupportVectorMachine(SVM)forPDFmalware detection.The study utilizes a dataset obtained from the Canadian Institute for Cyber-security and employs different testing criteria,namely percentage splitting and 10-fold cross-validation.The performance of the techniques is evaluated using F1-score,precision,recall,and accuracy measures.The results indicate that KNNoutperforms other models,achieving an accuracy of 99.8599%using 10-fold cross-validation.The findings highlight the effectiveness of ML models in accurately detecting PDF malware and provide insights for developing robust systems to protect against malicious activities.展开更多

In the present study high-school pupils’, and adult students’ opinions were evaluated through a modern structured MOODLE interactive course, designed for the needs of the laboratory course “Automotive Systems”. The study concerns Greek secondary vocational education pupils aged 18 and vocational training adult students aged 20 to 50 years. The multistage, equal size simple random cluster sample was used as a sampling method. Pupils and adult students of each cluster completed structured 10-question questionnaires both before and after attending the course. A total of 120 questionnaires were collected. In general, our findings disclosed that the majority of pupils and adult students had significantly improved their knowledge and skills from using MOODLE. They reported strengthening conventional teaching, using the new MOODLE technology. The satisfaction indices improved quite, with the differences in their mean values being statistically significant.展开更多

Hence, some of the state-of-the-art methods, that have many applications in the various scientific fields nowadays, are introduced in this paper. Additionally, the application of the procedures for an underwater survey in shallow depths is analyzed in accordance with the training standards of the PADI Underwater Survey Diver distinctive specialty. The main goal is to demonstrate not only the theoretical background of underwater surveys but also their operational issues, in order to facilitate the development of knowledge and skills during a training course. Finally, a case study for the recording and 3D modeling of the seabeds' morphology in shallow water is presented as it has been organized and accomplished by the participants of such a training course. A full mission simulator complex of the ship's automated power management system meets International Convention STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) 78 (with Manila amendments 2010) requirements in part of adequate reproduction of its operational modes corresponding to the actual configuration and layout of the ship's automated power management system with real consumers and typical loads. The simulator is fully consistent with the goals and objectives of the practical training, as well as the goals and objectives of proficiency testing engine department officers on issues of technical maintenance of real ship's equipment (high voltage installations included) and means of automation. The simulator's complex is designed for training and proficiency testing of cadets and students of maritime educational institutions, as well as training and proficiency testing of marine specialists (mechanics and electricians) by watch-keeping and maintenance of modem integrated automated control systems of ship's electric power plant and the individual ship electromechanical systems, including high-voltage systems. A simulator's complex provides adequate reproduction of operational situations on technical side of real ship electric and automation equipment provides training on monitoring, control and management diesel-generator sets in hand, semi-automatic and automatic modes of power station, control and management of electromechanical systems, as well as the set of tasks upon parameterization, visualization and etc. Besides number of combinations of monitoring, control and management tasks, the simulator's complex provides an opportunity to simulate various practical fault conditions. The high-speed train transmission system,experiencing both the internal excitation originating from gear meshing and the external excitation originating from the wheel-rail interaction,exhibits complex dynamic behavio...The high-speed train transmission system,experiencing both the internal excitation originating from gear meshing and the external excitation originating from the wheel-rail interaction,exhibits complex dynamic behavior in the actual service environment.This paper focuses on the gearbox in the high-speed train to carry out the bench test,in which various operat-ing conditions(torques and rotation speeds)were set up and the excitation condition covering both internal and external was created.Acceleration responses on multiple positions of the gearbox were acquired in the test and the vibration behavior of the gearbox was studied.Meanwhile,a stochastic excitation modal test was also carried out on the test bench under different torques,and the modal parameter of the gearbox was identified.Finally,the sweep frequency response of the gearbox under gear meshing excitation was analyzed through dynamic modeling.The results showed that the torque has an attenuating effect on the amplitude of gear meshing frequency on the gearbox,and the effect of external excitation on the gearbox vibration cannot be ignored,especially under the rated operating condition.It was also found that the torque affects the modal param-eter of the gearbox significantly.The torque has a great effect on both the gear meshing stiffness and the bearing stiffness in the transmission system,which is the inherent reason for the changed modal characteristics observed in the modal test and affects the vibration behavior of the gearbox consequently.展开更多

As the velocity of a train increases,the corresponding air pumping power consumption of the brake discs increases proportionally.In the present experimental study,a standard axle-mounted brake disc with circumferentia...As the velocity of a train increases,the corresponding air pumping power consumption of the brake discs increases proportionally.In the present experimental study,a standard axle-mounted brake disc with circumferential pillars was analyzed using a 1:1 scale model and a test rig in a wind tunnel.In particular,three upstream velocities were selected on the basis of earlier investigations of trains operating at 160,250,and 400 km/h,respectively.Moreover,3D steady computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations of the flow field were conducted to compare with the wind tunnel test outcomes.The results for a 3-car train at 180 km/h demonstrated:(1)good agreement between the air resistance torques obtained from the wind tunnel tests and the related numerical results,with differences ranging from 0.95%to 5.88%;(2)discrepancies ranging from 3.2 to 3.8 N·m;(3)cooling ribs contributing more than 60%of the air resistance torque;(4)the fast rotation of brake discs causing a significantly different flow field near the bogie area,resulting in 25 times more air pumping power loss than that obtained in the stationary brake-disc case.展开更多

文摘On the basis of analyzing existing course system of urban planning discipline,this paper came up with a framework for optimization of urban planning personnel training mode and course system,oriented towards training practical engineering personnel and based on CDIO engineering education and teaching platform. Then it made empirical study on setting of the urban planning discipline in Northeast Forestry University. It proposed changing the original "3 + 2" course system,exploring and optimizing the course system,improving teaching effect of urban planning personnel training courses,and raising planning and design ability of students.
文摘The implementation of Building Information modelling (BIM) methodology in the construction industry has been covering wide applicability with recognized benefits in designing, constructing and operating buildings. A recent short course organized in the University of Lisbon, actualized with the most relevant achievement based in master research, was offered to professionals of the industry, namely, architects and civil engineers coming from diverse engineering areas, environment, construction, maintenance, consult and patrimonial enterprises and also from public organizations like city councils. The proposed action covers the areas of construction (conflict analysis, planning and materials take-off), structures (interoperability, analyses and transfer of information between software) and the most recent Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM) topic. The course aims to contribute to the dissemination of the potential of BIM in the areas of designing, construction and refurbishing of historical buildings. The participants followed the course with great interest and satisfaction, formulating several questions directed to the particular activity of each of the attendees.
文摘In the field of underwater survey, there is a variety of methods which differ from each other in terms of the operating environment and the purpose that each method is used. Hence, some of the state-of-the-art methods, that have many applications in the various scientific fields nowadays, are introduced in this paper. Additionally, the application of the procedures for an underwater survey in shallow depths is analyzed in accordance with the training standards of the PADI Underwater Survey Diver distinctive specialty. The main goal is to demonstrate not only the theoretical background of underwater surveys but also their operational issues, in order to facilitate the development of knowledge and skills during a training course. Finally, a case study for the recording and 3D modeling of the seabeds' morphology in shallow water is presented as it has been organized and accomplished by the participants of such a training course. By this way, it is expected that the reader will understand explicitly the application of the procedures prior, during and after the dive for an underwater survey in shallow depths.

文摘This article describes practical preparation of marine engineers on the full mission simulator complex of the ship's automated electrical power plant. A full mission simulator complex of the ship's automated power management system meets International Convention STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping) 78 (with Manila amendments 2010) requirements in part of adequate reproduction of its operational modes corresponding to the actual configuration and layout of the ship's automated power management system with real consumers and typical loads. The simulator is fully consistent with the goals and objectives of the practical training, as well as the goals and objectives of proficiency testing engine department officers on issues of technical maintenance of real ship's equipment (high voltage installations included) and means of automation. The simulator's complex is designed for training and proficiency testing of cadets and students of maritime educational institutions, as well as training and proficiency testing of marine specialists (mechanics and electricians) by watch-keeping and maintenance of modem integrated automated control systems of ship's electric power plant and the individual ship electromechanical systems, including high-voltage systems. A simulator's complex provides adequate reproduction of operational situations on technical side of real ship electric and automation equipment provides training on monitoring, control and management diesel-generator sets in hand, semi-automatic and automatic modes of power station, control and management of electromechanical systems, as well as the set of tasks upon parameterization, visualization and etc. Besides number of combinations of monitoring, control and management tasks, the simulator's complex provides an opportunity to simulate various practical fault conditions. It allows students to focus on the work of automatic control system in emergency situations and to work out correct actions for a watch-keeper on searching, localizing of faults and troubleshooting of equipment.

文摘In order to enhance the abilities of practical innovation and solving complex engineering problems of students in the engineering context,we design a course cluster teaching model based on a unified enterprise-level project case.The program divides the knowledge points required by the project into the corresponding courses,and divides their realization into the practical teaching cases,so as to realize the design of teaching practice cases embodied in the unified project framework.This model allows students to practice projects based on the unified project background while learning knowledge from different courses.It not only allows students to learn abstract,fragmented,and difficult-to-understand knowledge systems thoroughly,but also integrates the knowledge into the practice of the enterprise-level project development,helping students experience the value of knowledge in complex engineering projects and thus improving their ability to solve complex engineering problems while learning theoretical knowledge.
文摘The purpose of this essay was to explore the importance of professional training for test writers and teachers as well.Since both testing and teaching are so closely interrelated that it's impossible to work in either field without being constantly concerned with the other. Test writers need professional training to keep pace with emergence of new views of language teaching practice and the rapid change of social life, in order to make testing more authentic and more valid.

文摘The high-speed train transmission system,experiencing both the internal excitation originating from gear meshing and the external excitation originating from the wheel-rail interaction,exhibits complex dynamic behavior in the actual service environment.This paper focuses on the gearbox in the high-speed train to carry out the bench test,in which various operat-ing conditions(torques and rotation speeds)were set up and the excitation condition covering both internal and external was created.Acceleration responses on multiple positions of the gearbox were acquired in the test and the vibration behavior of the gearbox was studied.Meanwhile,a stochastic excitation modal test was also carried out on the test bench under different torques,and the modal parameter of the gearbox was identified.Finally,the sweep frequency response of the gearbox under gear meshing excitation was analyzed through dynamic modeling.The results showed that the torque has an attenuating effect on the amplitude of gear meshing frequency on the gearbox,and the effect of external excitation on the gearbox vibration cannot be ignored,especially under the rated operating condition.It was also found that the torque affects the modal param-eter of the gearbox significantly.The torque has a great effect on both the gear meshing stiffness and the bearing stiffness in the transmission system,which is the inherent reason for the changed modal characteristics observed in the modal test and affects the vibration behavior of the gearbox consequently.
文摘Major diversion is an important part of the large-category student enrollment and training model.The degree to which undergraduates recognize the logic of the major diversion system,their satisfaction with the diverted major,and their major identity after diversion all influence their subsequent learning process and outcomes.The questionnaire survey of undergraduates in this study discovered that major diversion attitude has a significant positive effect on undergraduates'learning gains;the mediating effect test discovered that course perception plays a partially mediating role between major diversion attitude and learning gains.Therefore,under the large-category student enrollment and training model,it is necessary to improve the major diversion system in terms of formulation,major selection guidance,and major identity promotion.Furthermore,strengthening the logical connection and content coupling of different types of courses,dealing with the proportion,priority,and sequence of courses,optimizing the allocation of course resources,and reasonably planning and setting courses all play an important role in improving undergraduate learning gains.

文摘As the velocity of a train increases,the corresponding air pumping power consumption of the brake discs increases proportionally.In the present experimental study,a standard axle-mounted brake disc with circumferential pillars was analyzed using a 1:1 scale model and a test rig in a wind tunnel.In particular,three upstream velocities were selected on the basis of earlier investigations of trains operating at 160,250,and 400 km/h,respectively.Moreover,3D steady computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations of the flow field were conducted to compare with the wind tunnel test outcomes.The results for a 3-car train at 180 km/h demonstrated:(1)good agreement between the air resistance torques obtained from the wind tunnel tests and the related numerical results,with differences ranging from 0.95%to 5.88%;(2)discrepancies ranging from 3.2 to 3.8 N·m;(3)cooling ribs contributing more than 60%of the air resistance torque;(4)the fast rotation of brake discs causing a significantly different flow field near the bogie area,resulting in 25 times more air pumping power loss than that obtained in the stationary brake-disc case.
