The comput...This study attempts to find a solution to the problem of a lack of employees and focuses on the role of the lead user in the success of fast-growing industries, especially in the field of the game industry. The computer game industry is one of the youngest and fastest growing new media industry sectors. Finnish gaming company, Rovio, is an excellent example of this phenomenal growth. The company hired up to 10 new people per week last year. However, labor shortages in the gaming industry make finding employees difficult. Utilizing lead users might be one solution for labour shortages in the gaming industry. A lead user is a user of a offering who currently experiences needs still unknown to the public and who also benefits greatly if he obtains a solution to these needs. This research describes one case where lead users in a game development process were utilized successfully. This research results indicate that lead users are a willing, untapped, and limitless source of innovation for the development process in industries where users feel passionately about the service.展开更多

Phytomolecules having multiple targeting...Due to genetic and epigenetic mechanisms, cancer have become a resistant disease and there is a need for new molecules having multiple targeting action that promotes apoptosis. Phytomolecules having multiple targeting anticancer activity are in high demand and there is less documentation or information available on these metabolites. It is evident that mushrooms are became the store houses of new anticancer molecules and mushrooms like Agaricus blazei, Antrodia camphorate, Albatrellus confluens, Bolteus badius, Cordyceps militaris, Clitocybe maxima, Funalia trogii, Grifola frondosa, and Inocybe umbrinella, are some of the medicinal mushrooms reported for their cytotoxic activity. Cytotoxic molecules like lentinan, grifolin, illudin-S, psilocybin, ganoderic acid, theanine, and hispolon, have been isolated from various mushroom species. However, studies have been limited only to in vitro cytotoxic mechanisms and very few trials have been conducted to prove the clinical efficacy of these drug leads. Hence, the current review focuses on new anticancer metabolites isolated from various mushrooms having multiple targeting mechanisms in cancer. However, an extensive research is needed to define the biosynthesis and clinical mechanism of these multiple acting metabolites. This review provides a platform for researchers new anticancer drugs and to bring out potent multiple acting anticancer newer drugs.展开更多

The moderated neutrons were measured by the activity induced in an array of Au activation foils(with or without Cd cover). The axial coordinates of the foils without Cd cover were Z = -15, -10, -5, 0, 5, 10, 15,20 cm along the target axial, and the radial coordinates of the foils were R = 7.5, 12.5, 17.5, 22.5 and 27.5 cm abovethe target axial. The Au-foil activities were determined by measuring the peak intensities of the 412 keV line from198Au[1], and the results are shown in Fig. 1.展开更多

The neutron yield is determined to be 18.4±2.1 per carbon by integrating the neutron flux over the entire water volume. The corresponding simulation values are performed by Geant4 code with three models to compare with the experimental results. The comparison shows that the calculated result with the INCL model is in good agreement with the experimental data.展开更多

In addition, the currently existing therapeutics only offer temporary symptomatic relieves. Therefore, further research and development of more efficacious and disease-modifying agents for the prevention, treatment and restoration of AD will have tremendous value from both scientific, and economic standpoints. Over the past few years, our series of studies have identified several highly promising anti-AD dimeric leads, with disease-modifying potentials. In this presentation, the latest progress on the neuroprotective and disease modifying effects and the underlying mechanisms of those candidates will be comprehensively illustrated and discussed.展开更多
