We need a new kind of cultural self-awareness and cultural self- confidence. Globalization has two aspects: internationalization and "worldization." These attributes determine our two-fold task of developing and making use of international cultural resources to reconstruct Chinese culture, and of Chinese cultural resources to reconstruct world culture. At the same time, the dual nature of globalization also determines the duality of the cross-cultural. Here we find the very grounds for China's strategy for cultural development to deal with globalization.展开更多
