The method allowed the division of elements into four groups taking into account the excitation energies and measurement conditions of the sample. Two standard reference materials were used and 15 sample replicates were prepared and analyzed, then statistics were applied to assess the precision and accuracy of analytical results. The obtained results show that major compounds or elements (SiO2, P2O5, K2O, CaO, Fe2O3, Ti) can be determined in fine powder sample with a deviation lower than 15%, and a relative standard deviation in the range (1 - 10)%. The deviation was found to be lower than 5% for major compounds such as K2O, and CaO, which suggest that the EDXRF is accurate in evaluating major elemental concentrations in rock samples. It was also found that the method seems to be more accurate and precise for major elements than for trace element investigation. The pressure of NEEM is an important parameter in causing rock fracture. An empirical model based on hole spacing was developed to determine the pressure of NEEM in the rock fracture process. Primarily, the empirical model was developed by the mathematical method, utilizing dimensional analysis. Then, the Phase2 code, which is based on the finite element method, was utilized to predict crack growth in rocks. The results of numerical analysis show slight deviations from the empirical model. Hence, the polynomial re- gression analysis was used to modify the model. Finally, the modified model shows a good agreement with the results gained from numerical modeling.展开更多

The equivalent connectivi...Physical mechanisms and influencing factors on the effective stress coefficient for rock/soil-like porous materials are investigated, based on which equivalent connectivity index is proposed. The equivalent connectivity index, relying on the meso-scale structure of porous material and the property of liquid, denotes the connectivity of pores in Representative Element Area (REA). If the conductivity of the porous material is anisotropic, the equivalent connectivity index is a second order tensor. Based on the basic theories of continuous mechanics and tensor analysis, relationship between area porosity and volumetric porosity of porous materials is deduced. Then a generalized expression, describing the relation between effective stress coefficient tensor and equivalent connectivity tensor of pores, is proposed, and the expression can be applied to isotropic media and also to anisotropic materials. Furthermore, evolution of porosity and equivalent connectivity index of the pore are studied in the strain space, and the method to determine the corresponding functions in expressions above is proposed using genetic algorithm and genetic programming. Two applications show that the results obtained by the method in this paper perfectly agree with the test data. This paper provides an important theoretical support to the coupled hydro-mechanical research.展开更多

文摘Taking the test stopes during continuous mining induced roof caving of Tongkeng ore-body No.92 as example, the calculation flow of unloading analysis was established. According to the unloading region division method of the affected zone theory, and the deterioration laws of mechanics parameters of unloading rock mass, the continuous mining process in underground mine was analyzed by the software MIDAS/GTS, the mechanical response of roof rock mass unloading was studied, and the differences were analyzed with the conventional simulation. The result shows that the maximum tensile stress, subsidence displacement and equivalent plastic strain of roof rock mass are 1.5 MPa, 20 cm and 1.5% in the unloading analysis, while 1.0 MPa, 13 cm and 0.9% in the conventional analysis. The values of unloading analysis, which are also closer to the actual situation, are greater than those of conventional analysis; the maximum step in continuous mining is 48 m, which shows that the induced treatment of the roof should be carried out after 2 mining steps

文摘Rock mass dynamics disasters caused by excavations and mining occur frequently in deep mines. In order to establish a theoretical system and control technologies for such disasters,we first classify and define dynamic disasters, such as rock bursts, coal bursts, mine pressure bumps, and mine earthquakes.According to the occurrence mechanism of different types of dynamic disasters,we establish a compensation control theory based on excavation and mining effects. On the basis,we propose three key technologies:high prestress compensation technology for the roadway, pressure relief technology using directional roof cutting, and the goaf filling technology using broken rock dilation. These three technologies constitute the compensation control method for dynamic disasters in deep mines. Finally, this method was successfully applied in a deep coal mine with high stress, with monitored results suggesting its rationality. This work provides a new concept and control method for the prevention of rock dynamic disasters in deep mines.

文摘Mining is the foundation of modern industrial development. In the context of the“carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”era, countries have put forward the development strategy of“adhering to the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature.”The ongoing progress and improvement of filling mining technology have provided significant advantages, such as“green mining, safe, efficient, and low-carbon emission,”which is crucial to the comprehensive utilization of mining solid waste, environmental protection, and safety of re-mining.This review paper describes the development history of metal mine filling mining in China and the characteristics of each stage. The excitation mechanism and current research status of producing cementitious materials from blast furnace slag and other industrial wastes are then presented, and the concept of developing cementitious materials for backfill based on the whole solid waste is proposed. The advances in the mechanical characteristics of cemented backfill are elaborated on four typical levels:static mechanics, dynamic mechanics, mechanical influencing factors, and multi-scale mechanics. The working/rheological characteristics of the filling slurry are presented, given the importance of the filling materials conveying process. Finally, the future perspectives of mining with backfill are discussed based on the features of modern filling concepts to provide the necessary theoretical research value for filling mining.

文摘A procedure to recognize individual discontinuities in rock mass from measurement while drilling(MWD)technology is developed, using the binary pattern of structural rock characteristics obtained from in-hole images for calibration.Data from two underground operations with different drilling technology and different rock mass characteristics are considered, which generalizes the application of the methodology to different sites and ensures the full operational integration of MWD data analysis. Two approaches are followed for site-specific structural model building:a discontinuity index(DI)built from variations in MWD parameters, and a machine learning(ML)classifier as function of the drilling parameters and their variability. The prediction ability of the models is quantitatively assessed as the rate of recognition of discontinuities observed in borehole logs.Differences between the parameters involved in the models for each site, and differences in their weights, highlight the site-dependence of the resulting models. The ML approach offers better performance than the classical DI,with recognition rates in the range 89%to 96%.However,the simpler DI still yields fairly accurate results, with recognition rates 70%to 90%.These results validate the adaptive MWD-based methodology as an engineering solution to predict rock structural condition in underground mining operations.

文摘Pillarless coal mining technology is a new practical technology.Based on the compensating mechanical behavior of the Negative Poisson’s Ratio(NPR)anchor cable on the roof, the roadway was successfully retained by the top cutting and pressure relief technology. This study utilizes the Digital Speckle Monitoring(DIC monitoring),stress-strain monitoring, and infrared thermal imaging systems to conduct physical model experiment of similar materials from the displacement,stress-strain,and temperature fields to investigate in depth the fracture change law of the overlying rock.In addition,it uses FLAC3D numerical simulation to invert the surface displacement settlement. The results show that the non-pillar overhead mining under the 110 mining method has little influence on the rock crack in the middle of the coal seam, and the crack development area is mainly concentrated in the overlying rock mass of the upward coal seam. The compensatory mechanical behavior of NPR anchor cable and the dilatation characteristics of rock mass have a good effect of retaining roadway along goaf, and can also reduce surface settlement. The 110 mining method provides a scientific basis for ecological environment protection and the development of other kilometer deep soft rock high ground stress underground projects.
文摘Rock salt has excellent properties for its use as underground leak‐proof containers for the storage of renewable energy.Salt solution mining has long been used for salt mining, and can now be employed in the construction of underground salt caverns for the storage of hydrogen gas. This paper presents a wide range of methods to study the mineralogy, geochemistry, microstructure and geomechanical characteristics of rock salt, which are important in the engineering of safe underground storage rock salt caverns. The mineralogical composition of rock salt varies and is linked to its depositional environment and diagenetic alterations. The microstructure in rock salt is related to cataclastic deformation, diffusive mass transfer and intracrystalline plastic deformation, which can then be associated with the macrostructural geomechanical behavior.Compared to other types of rock, rock salt exhibits creep at lower temperatures. This behavior can be divided into three phases based on the changes in strain with time. However,at very low effective confining pressure and high deviatoric stress, rock salt can exhibit dilatant behavior, where brittle deformation could compromise the safety of underground gas storage in rock salt caverns. The proposed review presents the impact of purity, geochemistry and water content of rock salt on its geomechanical behavior, and thus,on the safety of the caverns.

文摘The environmental concerns resulting from coal-fired power generation that produces large amounts of CO_(2)and fly ash are of great interest. To mitigate, this study aims to develop a novel carbonated CO_(2)-fly ash-based backfill(CFBF)material under ambient conditions. The performance of CFBF was investigated for different fly ash-cement ratios and compared with non-CO_(2)reacted samples. The fresh CFBF slurry conformed to the Herschel-Bulkley model with shear thinning characteristics. After carbonation, the yield stress of the fresh slurry increased significantly by lowering fly ash ratio due to gel formation. The setting times were accelerated, resulting in approximately 40.6%of increased early strength. The final strength decreased when incorporating a lower fly ash ratio(50%and 60%),which was related to the existing heterogeneous pores caused by rapid fluid loss. The strength increased with fly ash content above 70%because additional C-S(A)-H and silica gels were characterized to precipitate on the grain surface,so the binding between particles increased. The C-S(A)-H gel was developed through the pozzolanic reaction, where CaCO_(3)was the prerequisite calcium source obtained in the CO_(2)-fly ash reaction.Furthermore, the maximum CO_(2)uptake efficiency was 1.39 mg-CO_(2)/g-CFBF.The CFBF material is feasible to co-dispose CO_(2)and fly ash in the mine goaf as negative carbon backfill materials, and simultaneously mitigates the strata movement and water lost in post-subsurface mining.

文摘Innovations of mining technologies were proposed by beneficial utilizations of unfavorable factors such as high geostress, high geotemperature and high mining depth to achieve green mining as mining depth increases inevitably.Cuttability of deep hard rock was investigated by experimental and regressed analyses to find the reasonable stress adjustment method to improve non-explosive mechanized fragmentation for hard ore-rock.A non-explosive mechanized and intellectualized mining method was proposed to continuously and precisely exploit phosphate underground, which promoted the high-recovery,low-waste and high-efficiency exploitation of phosphate with recovery rate over 90%,dilution rate near 5%and cutting efficiency about 107.7 t/h.A circular economy model and the backfill system were proposed to conduct resource utilizations of solid waste,by which the utilization amount of waste increased year after year.In 2018,the utilization amounts of phosphogypsum, yellow phosphorus slag and waste rock increased to 1853.6×10^3 t/a,291.1×10^3 t/a and 1493.8×10^3 t/a,respectively.
文摘The application of the non-explosive expansion material (NEEM) is widely used as the controlled fracture method in quarry min- ing, especially in hard rocks. Finally, the modified model shows a good agreement with the results gained from numerical modeling.

文摘To describe the deformation and strength characteristics of the corroded rock-like specimens containing a single crack under uniaxial compression,a damage constitutive model combining hydro-chemical damage with coupling damage of micro-flaws and macro-cracks is proposed.Firstly, based on phenomenological theory, the damage variable of the rock-like specimens subjected to water environment erosion and chemical corrosion is obtained.Secondly,a coupled damage variable for cracked rock-like specimens is derived based on the Lemaitre strain equivalence hypothesis, which combines the Weibull statistical damage model for micro-flaws and the fracture mechanics model for a macro single crack. Then, considering the residual strength characteristics of the rock-like materials, the damage variable is modified by introducing the correction coefficient, and the damage constitutive model of the corroded rock-like specimens with a single crack under uniaxial compression is established. The model is verified by comparing the experimental stress−strain curves, and the results are in good agreement with those provided in the literature. Finally, the correction coefficient of the damage variable proposed in this paper is discussed. The damage constitutive model developed in this paper provides an effective method to describe the stress−strain relationship and residual strength characteristics of the corroded rock-like specimens with a single crack under uniaxial compression.

文摘The problem of proper assessment of the technical functionality of rock bolt support systems is still valid. Many research centers have undertaken eforts to diagnose and monitor the technical state of such a support system used in mines and tunneling. With that aim the method of quality assessment of grouted rock bolts was invented and a relevant apparatus was constructed. The method concerns non-destructive identifcation of discontinuity of a resin layer(grout)surrounding rock bolts. The method is based on an impact excitation of a rock bolt and uses modal analysis procedures.Assuming that the installed rock bolt acts as an oscillator, diferent lengths and positions of grouting discontinuity alter its modal parameters. The extraction of these modal parameters,of which a resonant frequency is seen as the most valued, enable the relevant identifcation of grout discontinuity. After constructing a prototype version and validating the results for known cases of resin discontinuity in an experimental coal mine, the apparatus fulflling ATEX requirements was developed.Subsequently that version was also verifed both in laboratory conditions and in an experimental coal mine.As necessary for proper identifcation of discontinuity length, the reference data base was developed and elaborated consisting of a very large number of fnite element models(FE models),namely discontinuity cases. The models encountered diferent rock bolt lengths and diameters, diferent rock strata parameters and diferent positions and lengths of resin layers. Then the method was used in a working coal mine to monitor a technical state of rock bolt support system mounted to reinforce long underground openings. The data base was utilized as reference for investigated rock bolts.

文摘Physical mechanisms and influencing factors on the effective stress coefficient for rock/soil-like porous materials are investigated, based on which equivalent connectivity index is proposed. This paper provides an important theoretical support to the coupled hydro-mechanical research.
