Solid-Liquid Extraction of Some Lanthanide Complexes with 1-Nitroso-2-Naphthol

The extraction behavior of Sm(III), Eu(III),Er(III) and Yb(III) with 1- nitroso -2-naphthol (HA) in paraffin has been studied. The composition of,extracted complexes has been determined to be LnA(3) by slope analysis method. The effect of temperature on extraction system is also investigated and thermodynamic parameters are obtained.

Synergistic Extraction of Lanthanides by 1-Nitroso-2-Naphthol and Trioctylphosphine Oxide in Paraffin Wax

The paraffin wax was used as a diluent for 1-nitroso-2-naphthol(HA) and trioctylphosphine oxide(TOPO) in the extraction of lanthanides at 70℃. The composition of the extracted species was given as LnA_3(TOPO)_2 by means of the slope analysis. The variation of the synergistic extraction equilibrium constant(K_ sex) was investigated at 60～80℃, and the thermodynamic data were calculated. The dependence of separation factors on temperature was also studied.

Cobalt Determination by Means of Flow Injection On-line Sorbent Preconcentration-Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry with 1-Nitroso-2-naphthol as a Complexing Reagent

The suitability of 1-nitroso-2-naphthol(NN) as a complexing agent for on-line preconcentration of cobalt eluted on the C_(18) microcolumn by means of the FI-FAAS system was tested. Various parameters affecting the complex formation and its elution were optimized. A 2.3×10^(-3) mol/L reagent solution and the aqueous sample solution acidified with 0.1% (volume fraction) nitric acid were on-line mixed (6.4 mL/min) on a reaction coil set at (65±1)℃ and flowed through the microcolumn for 30 s. The pH of the mixed solution was adjusted to 3—4 with HNO_3(1 mol/L) or NaOH(1 mol/L). The adsorbed complexes in the microcolumn were eluted into the nebulizer of FAAS in 10 s with ethanol acidified with 1% HNO_3(3.0 mL/min). A good precision(1.6% for 100μg/L Co(Ⅱ), n=10), a high enrichment factor 17.2, with detection limit (3σ) 3.2μg/L, and sample throughput (90 h^(-1)) were obtained. The method was applied to the certified reference materials(CRMs), NBS-362 and NBS-364, for the determination of cobalt and the results were in good agreement with the certified values.

The new antioxidant 1-benzoyl-6-hydroxy-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2- dihydroquinoline has a protective effect against carbon tetrachloride-induced hepatic injury in rats

Liver diseases with the central pathogenetic mechanism of oxidative stress are one of the main causes of mortality worldwide.Therefore,dihydroquinoline derivatives,which are precursors of hepatoprotectors and have antioxidant activity,are of interest.We have previously found that some compounds in this class have the ability to normalize redox homeostasis under experimental conditions.Here,we initially analyzed the hepatoprotective potential of the dihydroquinoline derivative 1-benzoyl-6-hydroxy-2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline(BHDQ)for carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced liver injury in rats.Results suggested that BHDQ normalized the alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in serum.We also observed an improvement in liver tissue morphology related to BHDQ.Animals with CCl4-induced liver injuries treated with BHDQ had less oxidative stress compared to animals with CCl4-induced liver injury.BHDQ promoted activation changes in superoxide dismutase,catalase,glutathione peroxidase,glutathione reductase,and glutathione transferase on control values in animals with CCl4-induced liver injury.BHDQ also activated gene transcription in Sod1 and Gpx1 via nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 and forkhead box protein O1 factors.Therefore,the compound of concern has a hepatoprotective effect by inhibiting the development of necrotic processes in the liver tissue,through antioxidation.

New Method for Preparation of 1-Amidoalkyl-2-Naphthols via Multicomponent Condensation Reaction Utilizing Tetrachlorosilane under Solvent Free Conditions

An efficient and direct procedure for the synthesis of amidoalkylnaphthol derivatives employing a multi-component and one-pot condensation reaction of 2-naphthol, aromatic aldehyde and ace-tonitrile in the presence of tetrachlorosilane (TCS). A binary reagent from (TCS)/ZnCl2 was used upon applying benzonitrile.

非催化条件下合成1-苯甲酰基-2-萘酚

以2-萘酚和三氯甲苯为起始原料,异丙醇水溶液作溶剂,非催化条件下合成了1-苯甲酰基-2-萘酚。考察了三氯甲苯用量、醇、水和异丙醇的体积比、溶剂用量及回流反应时间对产率的影响。确定较佳工艺条件为:2-萘酚50 mmol,三氯甲苯60 mmol,异丙醇水溶液18 mL(V水∶V异丙醇=1∶5),回流反应时间2 h,1-苯甲酰基-2-萘酚收率达74%。异丙醇经回收后可重复利用。产品结构经IR,1H NMR,13C NMR及元素分析进行了表征。

A rapid and efficient method for the synthesis of 14H-dibenzo[α.j]xanthenes,aryl-5H-dibenzo[b.i]xanthene-5,7,12,14-(13H)-tetraone and 1,8-dioxooctahydroxanthenes by acidic ionic liquid

Various xanthenes have been synthesized by the condensation ofβ-naphthol,2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione or dimedone with various aldehydes in the presence of trifluoroacetic acid as catalyst in 1,1,3,3-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylguanidinium trifluoroacetate （TMGT） ionic liquid within 1 h at 75℃.

NEW OPTICALLY ACTIVE AROMATIC POLYIMIDES Ⅱ: SYNTHESIS AND PROPERTIES OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE AROMATIC POLYIMIDE BASED ON (R)-(+)-2, 2′-BIS (2-TRIFLUORO-4-AMINOPHENOXY)-1, 1′-BINAPHTHYL

Optically active (R)-(+)-2, 2' -bis(2 -trifluoro-4 -aminophenoxy)- 1, 1' -binaphthyl was prepared from1, 1'-bi-2-naphthol. The optically active aromatic polyimide was also successfully synthesized. This newpolymer has good solubility, thermal stability etc. Its specific rotation was found to be +174°, and itschiroptical property was also studied.

Synthesis and Characterization of Nitrosonaphthol Dyes Based on 1-Naphthol and Their Dyeing Properties on Tanned Leather

Nitrosonaphthol dyes and other corresponding analogues were synthesised from 1-Naphthol. The dyes were applied onto chrome and vegetable tanned leather upon characterization. The results indicate that the dye bath exhaustion was better on chrome tanned leather than on vegetable tanned leather. This may be attributed to the chelating effect of chrome on leather and the higher temperature of dyeing the chrome tanned leather compared with the vegetable tanned leather. The fastness properties of the dyes of washing ranging from (3 - 5), perspiration on acid (4 - 5), alkaline (4 - 5) and light (4 - 7) were impressive on both vegetable and chrome tanned leather respectively.

A Facile Procedure for the oxidative Coupling of 2-Naphthol and 2-Naphthalenethiol in Solid State

The oxidation of 2-naphthol and 2-naphthalenethiol to 1,1'-bi-2-naphthol and bis-2-naphthyl disulfide respectively has been carried out in excellent yields in solid state in the presence of Fe3+-montmorillonite or alumina-supported FeCl3.

Synthesis and Characterization of Both Enantiomers of a Chiral C_(60) Derivative Bearing the 1, 1'-Binaphthyl Group

Environmentally Benign Electrophilic Halogenation of Naphthalenes by H₂O₂—Alkali Metal Halides in An Aqueous Cationic Micellar Media

An efficient and greener protocol for the synthesis of 1-halo-naphthols by the action of hydrogen peroxide and alkali metal halides in aqueous micellar media is been described in the present work. This is an environmentally clean and safe procedure, which involved insitu generation of the active halogen in presence of alkali halides. Cationic surfactants such as cetyltrimethylammoniumbromide (CTAB) and cetyltrimethylammoniumchloride (CTAC) were found to facilitate efficiency of halogenation in aqueous media.

Preparation of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthol derivatives using barium phosphate nano-powders

Barium phosphate（Ba_3（PO_4）_2） nano-powder was successfully synthesized via a simple precipitation route without any surfactant. The prepared nano-powder was applied for the facile synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthol derivatives using multi-component reaction of aldehydes, 2-naphthol and an amide（or urea） in high yields.

Stripping voltammetric determination of Cd(Ⅱ)based on multiwalled carbon nanotube functionalized with 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol

The present work has focused on the modification of multiwalled carbon nanotube with a ligand,l-（2-pyridylazo）-2-naphthol, and its potential application for the development of a new,simple and selective modified glassy carbon electrode for stripping voltammetric determination of Cd（Ⅱ）.The analytical curve for Cd（Ⅱ） ions covered the linear range varying from 0.8 up to 220.4μgL^（-1）.The limit of detection was found to be 0.1μgL^（-1）,while the relative standard deviation（RSD） at 50.0μgL^（-1） was 1.8%（n=5）.This modified electrode was successfully applied for determination of Cd（Ⅱ） in some water samples.

Oxidant Promoted 1,3-Dipolar Cycloaddition of Pyridinium Ylides to Chalcones for Preparation of 1-Benzoyl-2-arylindolizines

The derivatives of 1-benzoyl-2-arylindolizine were prepared in moderate yields of 41%-78% by CrO3/Et3N promoted 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of pyridinium N-ylides and chalcones. Under the same conditions, CrO3/Et3N promoted 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of isoquinolinium N-ylides and chalcones provided the corresponding 1-benzoyl-2-arylpyrrolo[2,1-a]isoquinolines in 45 %-61% yields.

Synthesis of 1-Benzoyl-3-aryl-4-hydroxy-4-phenylimidazolidin-2-thiones

1-Benzoyl-3-aryl-4-hydroxy-4-phenylimidazolidin-2-thiones can be synthesized readily from the cyclization of 1-benzoyl-3-arylthioureas with bromine-acetophenone in the presence of excess triethylamine.

Studies on Flavonoids ⅩⅩ——A Novel Synthesis of β-Naphthaflavanones From 1-Acetyl-2-naphthol

1-Acetyl-2-naphthol was treated with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of piperidine for the preparation of the hydroxynaphthachalcones. However, the experimental result showed that the expected product was not formed, but the β-naphthaflavanones were obtained instead. The synthesis of β-naphthaflavanones from β-naphtholethanone directly using piperidine as catalyst has not been reported so far.

稀土配合物的研究(Ⅲ)——稀土离子与HPMBP及α-亚硝基-β-萘酚三元配合物的制备及表征

自从1959年Iensen将1-苯基-3-甲基-4-苯甲酰基-吡唑酮-5(HPMBP)推荐为一种新型β-二酮类萃取剂以来,用它作为酸性螯合配体而合成的稀土三元配合物为数不少,但所涉及的中性配体多为膦氧单齿配体和以氮为配位原子的联吡啶及二氮杂菲类双齿配体。α-亚硝基-β-萘酚(NN)作为酸性配体已被广泛地用于过渡元素的溶剂萃取,但用它作为中性配体的稀土三元配合物尚未见报道。本文报道了14种稀土离子与HPMBP及NN的二元固态配合物的合成并对其红外光谱、质子核磁共振谱进行了研究。

Convenient synthesis of chiral H_4-BINOL via direct hydrogenation of BINOL

A simple,highly effective hydrogenation of chiral BINOL to provide H_4-BINOL in multigram scale with good yield（up to 78% yield） was developed.A series of heterogeneous catalysts was tested in the hydrogenation;;the best result was obtained with 5%Pd/ C in EtOH under the H_2 pressure of 50 bar for 2 h.This method is a more useful method for practical synthesis of optically pure H4- BINOL than other available methods.

H_4SiW_(12)O_(40):An efficient catalyst for the synthesis of new spiro-[dibenzo[a,i]xanthene- 14,3'-indoline]-2',8,13-triones

Novel spiro[dibenzo[a,i]xanthene-14,3＇-indoline]-2＇,8,13-triones were prepared by the three-component reaction ofβ-naphthol, isatins,and 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphoquinone in the presence of a catalytic amount of H_4SiW_（12）O_（40）.This protocol provides a simple one-step procedure with the advantages of easy work-up,mild reaction conditions and environmentally benign.
