According to statistics, in the 29-year period from 1950 to 1978, there were 5 years with more than 10 percent yearly growth in total value of farming product, 5 years with a negative yearly growth and 3 years of stagnation. Such fluctuations may be related to policy factors such as financial inputs into the rural areas and the gap between prices of industrial and agricultural products as well as to productive inputs such as labor force, land, chemical fertilizer, beasts of burden and agricultural machinery. More importantly, agriculture was subject to changes in agricultural productive and operational institutionscentered on land ownership structure.展开更多
