The orthogonal tes...The process of synthesis of dimethyl-2,6-naphthalene dicaboxylate from esterification of 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid (2,6-NDCA) by methanol using sodium tungstate as catalyst was investigated. The orthogonal tests method was used for optimizing the process factors. The effects of reaction temperature, mass percentage of catalyst, reaction time and mass ratio of methanol to 2,6-NDCA on the 2,6-NDCA conversion were investigated. It was found that all the four factors had significant effect on the conversion. The optimum reaction conditions were reaction temperature 215 ℃,mass percentage of catalyst 3%, reaction time 3 h, mass ratio of methanol to 2,6-NDCA 6∶1. The 2,6-NDCA conversion at above condition was 92.80%.展开更多

The effects of the reaction tempe...In this paper, a kinetics model for the liquid-phase oxidation of 2-methyl-6-acetyl-naphthalene to 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid catalyzed by cobalt-manganese-bromide is proposed. The effects of the reaction temperature, catalyst concentration and ratio of catalyst on the lime evolution of the experimental concentration for the constituents including raw material, intermediates and product are investigated. The model parameters are determined in a nonlinear optimization, minimizing the difference between the simulated and experimental time evolution of the product composition obtained in a semi-batch oxidation reactor where the gas and liquid phase were well nuxed. The kinetics data demonstrate that the model is suitable to the liquid-phase oxidation of 2-methyl-6-acetyl-naphthalene to 2,6-naphthalene dicarboxylic acid.展开更多

A polynomial equation of he...This paper reports that the low-temperature heat capacities of pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid were measured by a precision automatic calorimeter over a temperature range from 78 K to 380 K. A polynomial equation of heat capacities as a function of temperature was fitted by the least-squares method. Based on the fitted polynomial, the smoothed heat capacities and thermodynamic functions of the compound relative to the standard reference temperature 298.15 K were calculated and tabulated at intervals of 5 K. The constant-volume energy of combustion of the compound was determined by means of a precision rotating-bomb combustion calorimeter. The standard molar enthalpy of combustion of the compound was derived from the constant-volume energy of combustion. Their compositions confirmed by elemental analysis are N...The binary and ternary solid complexes of Eu 3+ and La 3+ with pyridine 2,6 dicarboxylic acid (H 2DPC) and 1,10 phen anthroline were synthesized. Their compositions confirmed by elemental analysis are Na 3[Ln(DPC) 3]·2H 2O(Ln=La, Eu) and NaEu(DPC) 2·phen·4H 2O. The coordination mode of ligands with metal ions was studied by NMR. The influences on NMR spectra by induciton effect, screening effect and paramagnetic character of rare earth ions are discussed in this paper. The NMR studies show that these three complexes have similar symmetry and regular change of chemical shifts. Pyridine 2,6 dicarboxylic acid is a tridentate ligand. The coordination number of europium and lanthanum is nine in each of the binary complexes. The coordination number of europium is at least eight in the ternary complex.展开更多

The crystal structure of the complex belongs to Monoclinic system with space group P21/c, a=0.969 7(3) nm, b=1.914 6(6) nm, c=1.803 1(6) nm, β=91.524(5)°, V=3.346 6(18) mm3, Z=4, Dc=1.863 g·cm-3, μ=2.645 mm-1. The coordination geometry configuration of Er3+ center is tricapped trigonal prism. The structures of the title compound exhibit a novel 1D Ladder-like chain.展开更多
