Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Two New Supramolecular Architectures Constructed from the Main Group Metal Chloride and Protonated 2-(3-Pyridyl)benzimidazole 被引量:1

The reactions of SbCl3 and HgCl2 with 2-(3-pyridyl)benzimidazole (PyBIm) in solution acidified with HCl have been investigated. The reactions of SbCl3 and HgCl2 with 2-(3-pyridyl)benzimidazole (PyBIm) in solution acidified with HCl have been investigated. The PyBIm ligands are protonated into 2-(3-pyridinio)benzimidazolium (H2PyBIm) cations and the corresponding metal ions are bonded with chloride atoms into coordination anions, forming two new coordination compounds, namely, (H2PyBIm)(SbCl5) 1 and (H2PyBIm)2(Hg2Cl8) 2. Both compounds were characterized by X-ray crystallography. Crystal data for 1: triclinic, space group P1^- with a = 5.7030(7), b = 9.0625(11), c = 16.5929(18) A, α = 91.808(7)°, β = 93.234(6), γ = 99.216(7)°, C12H11N3SbCl5, Mr = 496.24, V = 844.44(17) A^3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.952 g/cm^3, μ(MoKα) = 2.419 mm^-1, F(000) = 480, the final R = 0.0496 and wR = 0.1382 for 3433 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). Crystal data for 2: monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 7.8061(5), b = 15.8127(9), c = 12.2435(9) , β = 91.955(4)o, C24H22N6Hg2Cl8, Mr = 1079.26, V = 1510.40(17) 3, Z = 2, Dc = 2.373 g/cm3, μ(MoKα) = 10.889 mm-1, F(000) = 1008, the final R = 0.0293 and wR = 0.0562 for 2854 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the antimony(III) is five-coordinated, exhibiting a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry; while in 2, a dimeric [Hg2Cl8]^4-anion consists of two trigonal bipyramids sharing two common edges. The organic cations and coordination anions are connected into a one-dimensional belt and a two-dimensional sheet through N-H···Cl hydrogen bonding interactions in compounds 1 and 2, respectively; both are further aggregated into 3D frameworks by strong π-π contacts. 展开更多

A novel Ru(Ⅱ) complex [(bpy)2Ru(PBC)](PF6)2 (PBC = N-[4-(9-carbazole)butyl]-2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole) has been synthesized and verified by 1↑H NMR, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography. The crystal (C48H40F12N8P2Ru, Mr = 1119.89) belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1, with a = 13.128(4), b = 13.814(4), c = 14.184(4) A, α = 84.112(6), β = 88.473(6), γ = 78.196(6)°, Z = 2, V = 2504.6(13)A^3, Dc = 1.485 g/cm^3, F(000) = 1132, R = 0.0750 and wR = 0.1896. The Ru atom adopts a distorted-octahedral coordination geometry with the bond distances and bond angles falling in normal ranges. The complex shows an intense metal-to-ligand charge transfer (1MLCT) (dπ(Ru) →π*(L)) transition (ε ~1.2×10^4 dm^3mol^-1cm^-1) at 457 nm in the UV-Vis absorption spectrum and a strong red phosphorescence at 632 nm in the CH3CN solution at ambient temperature. An efficient intramolecular energy transfer process from the carbazole unit to the [(bpy)2Ru(PB)]^2+ emissive center exists by selective optical-simulation. Its electrochemical behavior shows multiplicate redox processes based on the metal center, the grafting carbazole moiety and the 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole unit. 展开更多

A novel supramolecular compound,{[2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazoleH2]2·[BiCl6]·Cl},was synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction of o-phenylenediamine and α-pyridinecarboxylic acid with BiCl3 in 6.0 mol·L-1 HCl solution,and characterized by elemental analysis,IR,X-ray single-crystal diffraction and photoluminescence spectroscopy.The crystal (C24H22N6Cl7Bi,Mr= 851.61) belongs to the triclinic system,space group P1 with a =7.2887(18),b =9.548(2),c= 12.469(3),α=85.306(4),β=82.814(4),γ=71.349(4)°,Z=1,V=814.9(3)3,Dc=1.735 g/cm3,μ(MoKα)=6.007 mm-1,F(000)=410,R=0.0307 and wR=0.0787.The bismuth ion and six chlorine ions construct a distorted octahedral configuration.The three-dimensional supramolecular network is built from electrostatic attractions,hydrogen bonds and π-π interaction between the BiCl6 anion,Cl anion and [2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazoleH2] cation.The photoluminescence spectroscopy study shows that the title compound has a blue fluorescent emission at 450 nm in the solid state. 展开更多

A new method of synthesis of 2-(1,2-diferrocenylvinyl)benz- and azabenzimidazoles (3a-f), (4a-f) and 1’H,3’H(Me)-spiro-[(aza)benzimidazoline-2’,3-(1,2-diferrocenylcyclopropenes)] (5a-f) via reactions of diferroceny... A new method of synthesis of 2-(1,2-diferrocenylvinyl)benz- and azabenzimidazoles (3a-f), (4a-f) and 1’H,3’H(Me)-spiro-[(aza)benzimidazoline-2’,3-(1,2-diferrocenylcyclopropenes)] (5a-f) via reactions of diferrocenyl(methylsulfanyl)cyclopropenylium iodide (1) with aromatic o-diamines (2a-f) in the presence of Et3N (80°C - 82°C) is described. The structures of the resultant compounds are established using IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. The structure of one compound, cis-2-(1,2-diferrocenylvinyl)-1-methylbenzimidazole (3b), is confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. The electrochemical properties of compounds 3a, 3b, 3d and 5f are investigated using cyclic square wave voltammetry. Two electrochemical processes (I-II), attributed to oxidation of the ferrocene moieties, and the values of E0’(I), E0’(II), DE0’(II-I) and comporportionation constant Kcom are reported. The bioactivities of seven compounds 3a, 3c-f, 5d, 5f are evaluated. Compound 5f is the most active compound with a modest cytotoxic activity against six human cancer cell lines: U-251 (glioma), PC-3 (prostate cancer), K-562 (leukemia), HCT-15 (colon cancer), MCF-7 (breast cancer) and SKLU-1 (lung cancer). 展开更多

A new coordination compound Zn(2,4'-bpt)2(H2O)(1) based on the versatile ligand 2,4'-Hbpt(2,4?-Hbpt = 3-(2-pyridyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole) was prepared by hydrothermal reactions. A new coordination compound Zn(2,4'-bpt)2(H2O)(1) based on the versatile ligand 2,4'-Hbpt(2,4?-Hbpt = 3-(2-pyridyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole) was prepared by hydrothermal reactions. The structure of complex 1 has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, X-ray powder diffraction, IR spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that the complex belongs to monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 23.877(3), b = 0.7483(9), c = 1.2492(2) A, b = 92.681(2)°, V = 2230.6(4) A^3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.572 g/cm^3, m = 1.143 mm^-1, Mr = 527.85 and F(000) = 1080. The final R = 0.0581 and wR = 0.0898 with I 〉 2s(I). 1 is a 0D motif which is connected by hydrogen bonds to form a corrugated 1D pattern. In addition, 1 shows strong photoluminescent emissions in the solid state at room temperature which can be used as potential optical materials. Theoretical calculations based on density functional theory(DFT) were employed in order to explicate the stability and chemical reactivity of 2,4'-Hbpt with different conformations. The results indicated that conformation I is more stable and prior to coordination in the reactions. 展开更多

A new energetic complex,[Co(3,3?-Hbpt)(Htm)]·H_2O(1,3,3?-Hbpt = 3,5-bis(3-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole and H_3tm = trimesic acid),has been synthesized by hydrothermal reactions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,elementary analysis,IR spectroscopy,thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray powder diffraction. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction indicates that the complex belongs to triclinic system,space group P 1 with a = 10.0911(1),b = 10.2573(1),c = 10.6393(1) ?,α = 103.793(2),β = 101.041(2),γ = 107.918(3)o,V = 974.9(2) ?~3,Z = 2,D_c = 1.732 g·cm-3,μ = 0.941 mm^(-1),M_r = 508.31,F(000) = 518,the final R = 0.0523 and wR = 0.0935 with I 〉 2σ(I). In the title complex,Co(Ⅱ) ions are connected by Htm2-anions generating 1D ladder-like chains which are linked by 3,3?-Hbpt to form 1D cages. In addition,the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate(AP) with complex 1 was explored by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). AP is completely decomposed in a shorter time in the presence of complex 1,and the decomposition heat of the mixture is 2.531 kJ·g^(-1),significantly higher than that of pure AP. By Kissinger's method,the ratio of Ea/ln(A) is 11.05 for the mixture,which indicates that complex 1 shows good catalytic activity toward the AP decomposition. 展开更多

The title compound (C23H22N2O) 3 has been synthesized by the reaction of (S)- (-)-1,1-diphenyl-2-pyrrolidinemethanol 1 with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde 2 in refluxing benzene catalyzed by TsOH, and its structure was dete... The title compound (C23H22N2O) 3 has been synthesized by the reaction of (S)- (-)-1,1-diphenyl-2-pyrrolidinemethanol 1 with 2-pyridinecarboxaldehyde 2 in refluxing benzene catalyzed by TsOH, and its structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to orthorhombic, space group P212121 with a = 8.4747(8), b = 10.8829(10), c = 19.777(2) , Mr = 342.43, V =1824.0(3) 3, Dc = 1.247 g/cm3, Z = 4, m = 0.077 mm-1 and F(000) = 728. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares techniques to the final R = 0.0497 and wR = 0.0927. 展开更多

A new compound, {[Sm^2L3(H2O)4]·(4,4'-bpy)·3H2O}n(1, H2 L = 5-(3-pyridyl methoxy) isophthalic acid, 4,4'-bpy = 4,4A-dipyridyl), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in triclinic, space group P1 with a = 11.266(2), b = 15.530(3), c = 16.711(3) A, α = 112.803(3), β = 90.526(1), γ = 94.006(3)°, V = 2686.6(9) A3, Z = 2, Dc = 1.727 g/cm^3, μ = 2.251 mm-1, F(000) = 1392, S = 0.999, the final R = 0.0296 and wR = 0.1058. In the title compound, two crystallographically independent Sm^3+ cations are bridged by the carboxyl group of L2- ligands to form two different {Sm^2} binuclear subunits which are further connected by two distinct L2- ligands to shape a 1D chain, and such 1D chains are linked up to generate a 2D coordination polymer by another crystallographically unique L2- ligand. Solvothermal reaction of aromatic terphenyl-2,5,2',5'-tetracarboxylic acid (Hnqptc) ligand and the transitional metal cation of Mn11 in the presence of 3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazole (pp) affords one new coordination polymer, [Mn(qptc)0.5(pp)2]n·n(H2O) (1). The structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and further characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TGA, and magnetism. The carboxyl groups of qptc4 exhibit a μ1-η1:η0 coordination mode, and the qptc4- acts as a H-shaped ligand linking the Mn11 centers together to form a 2D polymeric [Mn(qptc)0.5]n layer. The crystal of 1 crystallizes in orthorhombic, space group Pbca with a = 9.3119(12), b = 20.848(3), c = 26.134(3) A, V= 5073.4(11) A3, Z= 8, C27HIgMnN6O5,Mr=562.42, Dc = 1.473 g/cm3, F(000) = 2304 and μ(MoKa) = 0.571 mm-1. The final R = 0.0468 and wR = 0.1196 for 4429 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ(I) and R = 0.0797 and wR = 0.1383 for all data. 展开更多

A new coordination compound, [Co(L223)2(H2O)2]·H2pm(1, L223 = 3,4-bis(2-pyridyl)-5-(3-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole and H4 pm = pyromellitic acid), has been synthesized. The structure of complex 1 has been characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectrum analysis and thermogravimetric analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that complex 1 belongs to the triclinic system, space group P1 with a = 10.2470(8), b = 10.2879(9), c = 10.2951(11) ?, α = 109.398(2), β = 97.6590(10), γ = 95.3260(10)°, V = 1003.60(16) ?3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.565 g/cm^3, μ = 0.508 mm%^-1, Mr = 945.73, F(000) = 485, the final R = 0.0562 and w R = 0.0783 with I 〉 2σ(I). Two L223 as chelating ligands link one Co(II) ion to form a 0D motif. Furthermore, the 0D motifs are linked into a 2D coordination pattern with hydrogen bonds. In addition, the antifungal effects of the ligand and the complex were evaluated by the disc diffusion method against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides Penz. 1 represents antifungal activity with high levels of inhibitory potency which is larger than the corresponding ligand. 展开更多

Cd(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) complexes(1~4) based on 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole(pbm) and 4,4'-oxybisbenzoic acid(H2odc) were synthesized. The formulas of these complexes are [Cd(pbm)(odc)2](1), [Co(pbm)(odc)2... Cd(Ⅱ), Co(Ⅱ), Cu(Ⅱ) and Zn(Ⅱ) complexes(1~4) based on 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole(pbm) and 4,4'-oxybisbenzoic acid(H2odc) were synthesized. The formulas of these complexes are [Cd(pbm)(odc)2](1), [Co(pbm)(odc)2](2), [Cu(pbm)(odc)2](3) and [Zn(pbm)(odc)2](4) confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, which shows that complexes 1, 2 and 4 belong to monoclinic system with space group P21/n, while complex 3 belongs to monoclinic system with space group P21/c. The binding properties of complexes 1~4 with CT-DNA are evaluated by ultraviolet spectrum, fluorescence spectra and viscosity measurements. The results indicate that complexes 1~4 have strong interaction with CT-DNA binding. These complexes exhibit an electrostatic or groove mode in respect of binding with DNA, which can effectively destroy DNA. And this binding mode may be applied to the interaction between the complexes and cancer cell DNA. Therefore, we hope to provide a theoretical and scientific basis for the research of anti-cancer drugs. 展开更多
