Constrained least squares algorithm for channel vector estimation in 2-D RAKE receiver

Based on the fact that the variation of tile direction of arrival (DOA) isslower than that of the channel fading, the steering vector of the desired signal is estimatedfirstly using a subspace decomposition method and then a constrained condition is configured.Traffic signals are further employed to estimate the channel vector based on the constrained leastsquares criterion. We use the iterative least squares with projection (ILSP) algorithm initializedby the pilot to get the estimation. The accuracy of channel estimation and symbol detection can beprogressively increased through the iteration procedure of the ILSP algorithm. Simulation resultsdemonstrate that the proposed algorithm improves the system performance effectively compared withthe conventional 2-D RAKE receiver. 展开更多

In array signal processing, 2-D spatial-spectrum estimation is required to determine DOA of multiple signals. The circular array of sensors is found to possess several nice properties for DOA estimation of wide-band sources. C. U. Padmini, et al.(1994) had suggested that the frequency-direction ambiguity in azimuth estimation of wide-baud signals received by a uniform linear array (ULA) can be avoided by using a circular array, even without the use of any delay elements. In 2-D spatial-spectrum estimation for wide-band signals, the authors find that it is impossible to avoid the ambiguity in source frequency-elevation angle pairs using a circular array. In this paper, interpolated circular arrays are used to perform 2-D spatial-spectrum estimation for wide-band sources. In the estimation, a large aperture circular array (Υ】λmin/2) is found to possess superior resolution capability and robustness. 展开更多

This article studies distributed pose(orientation and position)estimation of leader–follower multi-agent systems over𝜅-layer graphs in 2-D plane.Only the leaders have access to their orientations and positions,while the followers can measure the relative bearings or(angular and linear)velocities in their unknown local coordinate frames.For the orientation estimation,the local relative bearings are used to obtain the relative orientations among the agents,based on which a distributed orientation estimation algorithm is proposed for each follower to estimate its orientation.For the position estimation,the local relative bearings are used to obtain the position constraints among the agents,and a distributed position estimation algorithm is proposed for each follower to estimate its position by solving its position constraints.Both the orientation and position estimation errors converge to zero asymptotically.A simulation example is given to verify the theoretical results. 展开更多

In array signal processing,the existing methods for DOA estimation of wide-band signals are only related to the azimuth estimation when the number or sensors is known.It is shown that a circular array possesses several nice properties.2-D spatial-spectrum estimation for wide-band sources is performed by using a circular array of sensors with sample delay lines.Further,the Choi' s approach is extended,which was suggested to estimate DOA of narrow-band signals when the number of sensor was unknown,to wide-band signal processing.The extended approach is shown to be quite adequate for wide-band signal subspace spatial-spectrum estimation (BASS-LE),and a large aperture (r>λvin/2) circular array is found to possess superior resolution capability and robustness. 展开更多

In this paper,we address the frequency estimator for 2-dimensional(2-D)complex sinusoids in the presence of white Gaussian noise.With the use of the sinc function model of the discrete Fourier transform(DFT)coefficients on the input data,a fast and accurate frequency estimator is devised,where only the DFT coefficient with the highest magnitude and its four neighbors are required.Variance analysis is also included to investigate the accuracy of the proposed algorithm.Simulation results are conducted to demonstrate the superiority of the developed scheme,in terms of the estimation performance and computational complexity. 展开更多

A novel method on designing bispectral windows is proposed in this letter. Compound functions based on a function with binary quadric form, starting from the symmetry characteristic of three-order moments are used as the 2-D windowfunctions. Two approaches on how to find the expressions of the compound functions are discussed in detail. One is to approximate the compound function after being Taylor expanded under the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) criteria. Another is to compound the hyperbolic secant function and the binary quadric function directly. According to theoretical analysis, the first type new windows have been proved as slightly better than the conventional ones, the second type new windows are much better than the conventional ones, and the bispectral estimation mean square error approximates to 0. 展开更多

In this paper,we analyze two classes of spectral volume(SV)methods for one-dimensional hyperbolic equations with degenerate variable coefficients.Two classes of SV methods are constructed by letting a piecewise k-th order(k≥1 is an integer)polynomial to satisfy the conservation law in each control volume,which is obtained by refining spectral volumes(SV)of the underlying mesh with k Gauss-Legendre points(LSV)or Radaus points(RSV)in each SV.The L^(2)-norm stability and optimal order convergence properties for both methods are rigorously proved for general non-uniform meshes.Surprisingly,we discover some very interesting superconvergence phenomena:At some special points,the SV flux function approximates the exact flux with(k+2)-th order and the SV solution itself approximates the exact solution with(k+3/2)-th order,some superconvergence behaviors for element averages errors have been also discovered.Moreover,these superconvergence phenomena are rigorously proved by using the so-called correction function method.Our theoretical findings are verified by several numerical experiments. 展开更多

玉米受Cu^(2+)污染时其各种生物理化变量会发生一定改变,导致其叶片光谱发生微小变化,为了获取隐含在玉米叶片光谱中微弱的Cu^(2+)污染信息,提出了一种基于独立成分分析(ICA)和光谱特征参数的多维光谱估测模型.对玉米叶片光谱在445~1 34... 玉米受Cu^(2+)污染时其各种生物理化变量会发生一定改变,导致其叶片光谱发生微小变化,为了获取隐含在玉米叶片光谱中微弱的Cu^(2+)污染信息,提出了一种基于独立成分分析(ICA)和光谱特征参数的多维光谱估测模型.对玉米叶片光谱在445~1 340nm范围内的波段进行一阶微分处理后与玉米叶片Cu^(2+)进行相关性分析,选取相关系数(R)较大的波段结合5种植被指数(红边归一化植被指数I_1、改进红边比值植被指数I_2、改进红边归一化植被指数I_3、光化学植被指数I_4和结构不敏感色素指数I_5)分别进行主成分分析(PCA),提取6个主成分进行ICA,得到ICA1,ICA2,ICA3,ICA4和ICA5共5个一维独立成分分量,结合两种光谱特征参数红谷和近红外平台一阶微分包围面积(FAN)构建了玉米叶片Cu^(2+)污染的一维、二维和三维估测光谱模型.5种独立分量中ICA3和ICA5与玉米叶片Cu^(2+)含量的相关性系数(R)都达到了0.9以上,其他3种也达到了0.8以上;二维模型可以将Cu^(2+)胁迫梯度中的轻度、中度和重度胁迫区分开来,三维模型能使胁迫区分效果更直观.结果表明:将ICA运用到玉米叶片Cu^(2+)污染研究中是可行的;独立成分分量、红谷和FAN的多维光谱模型可以作为玉米Cu^(2+)污染程度估测的一种新方法. 展开更多
