The synergistic extraction of Pr^3+ from hydrochloric medium using mixture of 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono- 2-ethylhexyl ester (P507, HL) and 8-Hydroxyquinoline (HQ) in heptane was investigated. The effect of equilibrium of aqueous acidity on extraction of Pr^3+ was discussed. The effect of extractant concentraction, different diluents, equilibrium time and acetate ion concentration oil extraction reaction were also studied. With a method of double-logarithmic slope, composition of the extracted species on 2-ethylhexyl phosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester and 8-Hydroxyquinoline was derived. The result shows that the synergistic extraction system not only overcomes emulsification of 8-Hydroxyquinoline, but also shows perfect capacity of synergistic extraction. The largest synergistic enhancement factor can be calculated to be 5.49 at pH 3.6 for Pr^3+. 展开更多

The rate of batch extraction of gallium from alkaline aqueous solution was studied by adding 2-ethylhexanoic acid in organic phase containing 7-substituted-8-hydroxyquinoline(extractant N601), n-decanol and kerosene.The extraction of Ga can be considered as a pseudo-homogeneous first-order reac- tion.The neutralization and distribution of organic acid between phases during the extraction were studied. The effect of 2-ethylhexanoic acid on the protonation of N601 is insignificant.The extraction of HCl during the stripping of gallium is mainly dependent on the concentration of aqueous hydrochloric acid and the con- tent of N601.Under the given conditions of temperature and N601 content,the acidity of organic phase is a linear function of the concentration of carboxylic acid in organic phase and the concentration of hydrochloric acid in equilibrium aqueous phase,if the latter is 1.9~5.6 mol/L. 展开更多

A novel 5-((4-(6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridin-5(4H)-ylsulfonyl)phenylamino)methyl)quinolin-8-ol(HTPSMQol) was synthesized by optimized reaction of 4-(6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridin-5(4H)-ylsulfonyl)aniline with 5-chloromethyl-8-hydroxy-quinoline hydrochloride(CMHQ).Also complexes of HTPSMQol were prepared by using various M(Ⅱ) metal salts.All compounds were analyzed by spectroscopic techniques and screened against various strains of microorganisms.The results showed higher antimicrobial activity of HTPSMQol compared to its metal complexes and comparable with Ciprofloxacin. 展开更多

A novel series of transition metal complexes have been synthesized from the reaction of 5-((3-(methylthio)-5-(pyridin-4-yl)-4H- 1,2,4-triazol-4-ylamino)melhyl)quinolm-8-ol with transition metal salts.The structures of these compounds have been elucidated by elemental and spectral analysis.Furthermore,compounds were screened for in vitro antimicrobial activity against the representative panel of two Gram-positive and two Gram-negative bacteria and two strains of fungus.The various compounds show potent inhibitory action against test organisms. 展开更多
