On the Development of China's Thermal Power in the 21st Century while Saving the Energy and Protecting the Environment

In light of China s Ninth Five-year Plan (1996-2000) for Electric Power Industry & the Long Term Targets by the Year 2010, the paper considers the strategy for developing China’s thermal power in the 21st century shall be the efficiency and cleaning technology of coal use. Especially important is the structure of power sources and configuration of technology process, and secondly the implementation of energy saving and environmental protection ideology in the various stages of thermal power construction and design work.

Mechanism and Path of Deepening the Marine Economic Cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN in the Context of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Construction

The strategy of 21st Century Maritime Silk Road provides favorable policy environment for deepening the economic cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN,actively promoting the transformation and upgrading of the marine economic structure,and establishing win-win marine economic cooperative development platform. For deepening the marine cooperation with ASEAN,Guangdong has significant advantages in geographical location,humanistic foundation,marine resources and economic strength. Based on interest demands of Guangdong and ASEAN,Guangdong should build the marine economic cooperation mode and mechanism from the overall mechanism and sub-mechanism,establish a three-dimensional marine economic cooperation path with characteristics of Guangdong and ASEAN from top design,to specific cooperation level,then to implementation of supporting facilities,and expand fields of the marine economic cooperation between Guangdong and ASEAN,to promote strategic construction of 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

Research as a Veritable Tool for Enhancing Students’ Job Creation in the 21st Century University Education

This study explores the role of research as a tool for enhancing students’job creation in the context of 21st-century university education.The survey research design was the approach used for this investigation.The researcher created a questionnaire to collect pertinent data for the study from 200 respondents.The questionnaire was duly validated by 3 experts.The internal reliability of the instrument was examined in this study using Cronbach’s alpha(α).Cronbach’s alpha method is able to determine the correlation between the outcomes of each test item and the test’s total score.Google Forms was used to deliver the survey to the respondents electronically.A statistical package was used to calculate the mean and standard deviation.The study hypotheses were also investigated using inferential statistics(t-test)with 198 degrees of freedom and a 0.05 threshold of significance.To determine whether to accept or reject the null hypothesis,the critical value and estimated t-value are compared.Findings suggest that research-oriented education positively impacts students’ability to create job opportunities in the 21st century.Engaging in research projects fosters critical thinking,creativity,and adaptability among students,enabling them to identify and capitalize on emerging trends and market gaps.Furthermore,the study reveals the significance of university-industry collaborations and mentorship programs in enhancing students’entrepreneurial skills and connecting them with practical resources and networks.The implications of this research are significant for educational policymakers,university administrators,and curriculum developers,as it underscores the importance of incorporating research as an integral component of 21st-century university education.

Research trends of worldwide ophthalmologic randomized controlled trials in the 21st century:A bibliometric study

Background:Randomized controlled trials(RCTs)are often considered the gold standard and the cornerstone for clinical practice.However,bibliometric studies on worldwide RCTs of ophthalmology published in the 21st century have not been reported in detail yet.This study aims to perform a bibliometric study and visualization analysis of worldwide ophthalmologic RCTs in the 21st century.Methods:Global ophthalmologic RCTs from 2000 to 2022 were searched in the Web of Science Core Collection.The number of publications,country/region,institution,author,journal,and research hotspots of RCTs were analyzed using HistCite,VOSviewer,CiteSpace,and Excel software.Results:2366 institutions and 90 journals from 83 countries/regions participated in the publication of 1769 global ophthalmologic RCTs,with the United States leading in the number of volumes and research field,and the Moorfields Eye Hospital contributing to the most publications.Ophthalmology received the greatest number of publications and co-citations.Jeffrey S.Heier owned the most publications and Jost B.Jonas owned the most cocitations.The knowledge foundations of global ophthalmologic RCTs were mainly retinopathy,glaucoma,dry eye disease(DED),and cataracts,and anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)therapy(ranibizumab),topical ocular hypotensive medication,laser trabeculoplasty.Anti-VEGF therapy for age-related macular degeneration(AMD),DME(diabetic macular edema),and DED,the use of new diagnostic tools,and myopia were the hottest research highlights.Anti-VEGF therapy,prompt laser,triamcinolone,and verteporfin photodynamic therapy for AMD,DME,and CNV(choroidal neovascularization),DED,myopia,and open-angle glaucoma were the research hotspots with the longest duration.The future research hotspots might be DED and the prevention and control of myopia.Conclusions:Overall,the number of global ophthalmologic RCTs in the 21st century was keeping growing,there was an imbalance between the regions and institutions,and more efforts are required to raise the quantity,quality,and global impact of high-quality clinical evidence in developing countries/regions.

Meaning of the concept of＂makom＂ is hard to define with some frames and borders. Thus, German researcher Yu. Elzner provided more than 20 meanings of this word translated from Arabic. Music experts have decided in favor of the definition of word makom as ＂mode and genre＂. Establishment of makom as a genre had taken place approximately from 12th to 18th centuries. However, evolution of a mode system, had occurred much earlier. Makom art of Uzbekistan is a heritage, which had been formed over the long period. However, it has not yet reached its completion, it still keeps living and being filled with a new emotional mood, new image contents. Swift development of computer technology and communication means creates opportunities both for researchers and for performers to improve the phenomenon of the makom arts. Organization of various contests and festivals in Uzbekistan, makom performers＇ participation in foreign forums represents great incentives for showing the western interest in this arts and its integration into the global music science.
