One is fiber yarn and the other is resin or fiber yarn in ... A micro mechanical model is carried out to predict micro stresses and macro elastic properties of 3-D woven composites. A unit cell is composed of two phases. One is fiber yarn and the other is resin or fiber yarn in transverse. The additional shearing introduced by bending of fiber yarn is considered. The method to determine the microstructure is also discussed. This model is applied to the analysis of a 3-D woven graphite/epoxy composite. Micro stresses of the cell are studied, and then macro modulus is obtained by employing the average method. The predictions agree well with experimental results. 展开更多

With this method, the strength of 3-D braided composites can be calculated with very large accuracy, and the statistical parameters of 3-D braided composites can be determined. The yarn architecture of 3-D braided composites products by the four-step 1×1 braiding technique has been studied by means of a control volume method in conjunction with experimental investigation and a numerical method, respectively. An ellipse assumption for the cross-section of yarn was proposed in this analysis method with considering the yarn size and yarn-packing factor. Two types of local unit cell structures were identified for 4-step braided composites by considering the nature of the braiding processes and by observing the sample cross-sections. The relationship between the braiding procedure and the properties for 3-D braided structural shapes was established. This method provides the basis for analyzing stiffness and strength of 3-D braided composites. 展开更多

针对现有异型针刺成型装备专用性强,难以适应小批量、多品种回转结构复合材料预制体的针刺成型要求的问题,提出一种复合材料回转预制体柔性针刺成型系统。根据回转预制体的针刺成型特性,提出采用四轴联动的针刺机运动机构和气动针刺头构... 针对现有异型针刺成型装备专用性强,难以适应小批量、多品种回转结构复合材料预制体的针刺成型要求的问题,提出一种复合材料回转预制体柔性针刺成型系统。根据回转预制体的针刺成型特性,提出采用四轴联动的针刺机运动机构和气动针刺头构型,基于可编程控制器(PLC)和触摸屏,设计了柔性针刺成型控制系统,并进行实验验证。实验结果表明:针刺实验针迹和模拟针迹高度一致,证明了四轴柔性针刺系统的可行性,该系统可以实现回转预制体的针刺成型;通过采用单气缸新型针刺头,针刺频率达到110次/min,针刺效率比现有的双气缸针刺头提高了1倍。 展开更多

It is necessary to investigate the dry sliding friction and wear behavior of surface. In this paper, 3-D topographical parameters were used to investigate the topographical characteristics of dry sliding surfaces for particle-reinforced alu-minum composites on semi-metallic friction material. The experimental results indicate that the surface topography of the particle-reinforced aluminum composites can be divided into two types, the flaking-off pit type and the groove type. The composites whose surface topography is the flaking-off pit type possess superior heat conductivity and bearing area, lower wear rate, and higher friction coefficient than the groove type. Consequently, the flaking-off pit type surface topography is much better than the groove type for particle-reinforced aluminum composites on semi-metallic friction materials in dry sliding. 展开更多
