New cobalt(II) complex, [Co(O<sub>2</sub>C<sub>15</sub>H<sub>11</sub>N<sub>2</sub>S)<sub>2</sub>(OH<sub>2</sub>)<sub>2</sub>]∙2H<sub>2</sub>O (1∙2H<sub>2</sub>O), has been synthesized upon reaction of cobalt chloride hexahydrate (Co(Cl)<sub>2</sub>∙6H<sub>2</sub>O) with 3-methyl-1-Phenyl-4-(2-thienoyl)-pyrazol-5-one (referred as HL) in ethanol at room temperature. Single crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD), spectroscopic methods, and microelemental analyses were used to characterize 1∙2H<sub>2</sub>O. Compound 1∙2H<sub>2</sub>O crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system with a Pbca space group and with the cobalt atom being pseudo-octahedral coordinated. The broth microdilution technique was used to screen the free ligand (HL) and the complex (1∙2H<sub>2</sub>O) for antimicrobial activities. HL has a low activity (MIC > 100 μg/mL) on all microorganisms, whereas compound 1∙2H<sub>2</sub>O displayed moderate activity (10 ∙2H<sub>2</sub>O exhibited bactericidal and fungicidal activity respectively on all the bacteria and yeasts tested. These findings reveal that the antimicrobial activity of HL was enhanced upon coordination to Co(II) ion against all microorganisms (bacteria and fungus). 展开更多

A protocol for the synthesis of some 4-Aryl-1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydroquinazolin-2,5(1H,6H)-diones (HHQs) was developed by means of a three-component condensation reaction of an aromatic aldehyde, 1,3-cylohexadione and urea in the presence of K3AlF6 (Al2O3/KF) as catalyst. This reaction is carried out under different conditions including 1) solvent free;2) reflux in acetonitrile;3) reflux in ethanol;4) reflux in chloroform;and 5) reflux in water. In all conditions, the desired products are obtained in high yields after relatively short reaction times. Nevertheless, the reactions proceed faster and in higher yields when they were carried out in acetonitrile. This adopted protocol for some Biginelli-type products has offered the advantages of reusability of the catalyst, high yields and ease of separation of pure products. Furthermore, the catalyst is easily prepared, stabilized and efficiently used under reaction conditions. 展开更多

An efficient and simple method for the preparation of 5-arylamino-1H-tetrazole and 1-aryl-5-amino-1H-tetrazole derivatives is reported using aluminum(Ⅲ) hydrogensulfate(Al(HSO4)3) as an effective heterogeneous catalyst from secondary arylcyanamides. Generally,when the substitution in arylcyanamide is strongly electron-withdrawing the position of equilibrium would shift toward the isomer of 1-aryl-5-amino-1H-tetrazole(B) and as the electron-donating of substituent increased,the position of equilibrium is shifted toward the isomer of 5-arylamino-1H-tetrazole(A).The present methodology offers several advantages,such as excellent yields,short reaction times,easy work-up and greener conditions. 展开更多
