The degradation of 4-chloro-3-methylphenol(PCMC)using zeolite-encapsulated iron(III),nickel(II),and copper(II)complexes of N,N’-disalicylidene-1,2-phenylenediamine as catalysts,in a heterogeneous Fenton-like ...The degradation of 4-chloro-3-methylphenol(PCMC)using zeolite-encapsulated iron(III),nickel(II),and copper(II)complexes of N,N’-disalicylidene-1,2-phenylenediamine as catalysts,in a heterogeneous Fenton-like advanced oxidation process,was studied.The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were determined using powder X-ray diffraction,thermogravimetric analysis,Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface area analysis,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,elemental analysis,and scanning electron microscopy.The effects of four factors,namely initial H2O2 concentration,catalyst dosage,temperature,and pH,on the degradation of a model organic pollutant were determined.The results show that at low acidic pH,almost complete removal of PCMC was achieved with the iron(III),nickel(II),and copper(II)catalysts after 120 min under the optimum reaction conditions:catalyst dosage 0.1 g,H2O2 concentration 75 mmol/L,initial PCMC concentration 0.35mmol/L,and 50 °C.The reusability of the prepared catalysts in PCMC degradation was also studied and a possible catalyst deactivation mechanism is proposed.The possible intermediate products,degradation pathway,and kinetics of PCMC oxidation were also studied.展开更多

After ultrasonic extraction for the textile sampl...This paper reported a new analytical method for the simultaneous determination of seven benzotriazole ultraviolet absorbers and seven antibacterial agents in textiles. After ultrasonic extraction for the textile samples in methanol, the solutions were analyzed by ultra-high performance liquid chromotagraphy/orbitrap high resolution mass spectrometry (UPLC/Orbitrap HRMS). It showed that a good chromatographic separation for these target compounds was achieved by a Hypersil GOLD column (100 mm × 2.1 mm × 1.9 μm) with a gradient elution of methanol and 0.1% aqueous formic acid solution (containing 0.5 mmol/L ammonium acetate). Triclosan and 4-chloro-3,5-dimethyl phenol (PCMX) were detected by the orbitrap HRMS in an electrospray ionization (ESI) negative mode while the other twelve target compounds were detected by orbitrap HRMS in ESI positive mode. Full scan experiment was performed over the range from m/z 100 to m/z 500. These target compounds were routinely detected with mass accuracy below 2 × 10-6 (2 ppm) at the optimized conditions. The results showed that the limits of detection (LODs) were in the range from 0.1 to 0.3 μg/kg. The blank samples were spiked at three levels and their average recoveries varied from 80.5% to 96.3% while the relative standard deviation (RSD) changed from 3.2% to 9.9%. The present method was also applied for the determination of those ultraviolet absorbers and antibacterial agents in the commercial textiles.展开更多

On the other hand, nitrosation of 6-aminouracils followed by the reaction with different arylidineanilines gives new xanthine derivatives. Finally, indenopyrrolopyrimidine and indenopteridine are obtained in good yields via the reaction of 6-aminouracils and 5,6-diaminouracil with ninhydrin respectively. A novel NADPH-dependent carbonyl reductase was separated from Candida parapsilosis CCTCC 203011.The enzyme gave a single band on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE),which was purified t...A novel NADPH-dependent carbonyl reductase was separated from Candida parapsilosis CCTCC 203011.The enzyme gave a single band on sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE),which was purified through ammonium sulfate,Diethylamino Ethanol(DEAE)sepharose Fast flow(FF),phenyl-sepharose FF and blue sepharose FF chromato graphy from cell-free extract.The molecular mass of the enzyme was about 30 kDa.The optimum pH and temperature for reduction were 4.5℃ and 35℃,respectively.The Cu2+had strong restrictive effect on enzyme activity.In addition,the carbonyl reductase was an enzyme with high substrate specificity and stereo-selectivity,and showed high asymmetric reduction activity towards a-hydroxyacetophenone and ethyl 4-chloro acetoacetate.For the asymmetric reduction of a-hydroxyacetophenone and ethyl 4-chloro acetoacetate,(S)-1-phenyl-1,2-ethanediol and(R)-ethyl 4-chloro-3-hydroxybutanoate were produced by the purified enzyme,with the 100% and 94.3%e.e.value,respec-tively.Therefore,the enzyme could be one of the effective biocatalysts for asymmetric synthesis of chiral alcohols.The amino acid sequences of one peptide from the purified enzyme were analyzed by LC-MASS-MASS,and the car-bonyl reductase showed some identity to the hypothetical protein CaO19.10414 reported.展开更多
