However, traditional Optical Transport Networks (OTNs) cannot meet the requirements of 3G networks anymore, because of their complicated configuration, low bandwidth efficiency, high cost, and bad network and service scalability. The emerging of Multi-Service Transport Platform (MSTP), Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM), and Automatically Switched Optical Network (ASON) technologies for optical fiber communications makes up for these weaknesses. The leading solution to 3G access transport networks is the MSTP technology based on Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH), while that to 3G core transport network is ASON+WDM.展开更多

Construction monitoring combined with 3 g network and data acquisition module, monitoring data for the real time measurement, the centralized acquisition and wireless transmission, accomplish on-line real-time monitoring of the bridge construction process, effective control of jacking construction and monitoring. The comparison between theoretical analysis and measured results shows that the simulation results are reasonable, and the construction monitoring scheme based on 3G network and data collection can be used as reference.展开更多
With the arrival of the 4G and 5G,the telecommunications networks have experienced a large expansion of these networks.That enabled the integration of many services and adequate flow,thus enabling the operators to res...With the arrival of the 4G and 5G,the telecommunications networks have experienced a large expansion of these networks.That enabled the integration of many services and adequate flow,thus enabling the operators to respond to the growing demand of users.This rapid evolution has given the operators to adapt,their methods to the new technologies that increase.This complexity becomes more important,when these networks include several technologies to access different from the heterogeneous network like in the 4G network.The dimensional new challenges tell the application and the considerable increase in demand for services and the compatibility with existing networks,the management of mobility intercellular of users and it offers a better quality of services.Thus,the proposed solution to meet these new requirements is the sizing of the EPC(Evolved Packet Core)core network to support the 5G access network.For the case of Orange Guinea,this involves setting up an architecture for interconnecting the core networks of Sonfonia and Camayenne.The objectives of our work are of two orders:(1)to propose these solutions and recommendations for the heart network EPC sizing and the deployment to be adopted;(2)supply and architectural interconnection in the heart network EPC and an existing heart network.In our work,the model of traffic in communication that we use to calculate the traffic generated with each technology has link in the network of the heart.展开更多

A channel model capturing both path loss and shadowing is applied to the analysis so as to characterize power falloff vs. distance. The 3G/ad hoc integrated network scenario model is introduced briefly. Based on this model, several performances of the 3G/ ad hoc integrated network in terms of outage probability, call dropping probability and new call blocking probability are evaluated. The corresponding performance formulae are deduced in accordance with the analytical models. Meanwhile, the formula of the 3G/ad hoc integrated network capacity is deduced on the basis of the formula of the outage probability. It is observed from extensive simulation and numerical analysis that the 3G/ad hoc integrated network remarkably outperforms the 3G network with regards to the network performance. This derived evaluation approach can be applied into planning and optimization of the 3G/ad hoc network.展开更多
In 3G networks upgraded with high speed packet access(HSPA) technology,the high access bandwidth and advanced mobile devices make it applicable to share large files among mobile users by peer-to-peer applications.To r...In 3G networks upgraded with high speed packet access(HSPA) technology,the high access bandwidth and advanced mobile devices make it applicable to share large files among mobile users by peer-to-peer applications.To receive files as quickly as possible is essential for mobile users in file sharing applications,since they are subject to unstable signal strength and battery failures.While many researches present peer-to-peer file sharing architectures in mobile environments,few works focus on decreasing the time spent in disseminating files among users.In this paper,we present an efficient peer-to-peer file sharing design for HSPA networks called efficient file sharing(EFS) for 3G networks.EFS can decrease the dissemination time by efficiently utilizing the upstream-bandwidth of mobile nodes.It uses an adaptive rearrangement of a node's concurrent uploading transfers,which causes the count of the node's concurrent uploading transfers to lower while ensuring that the node's upstream-bandwidth can be efficiently utilized.Our simulations show that,EFS achieves much less dissemination time than other protocols including Bullet Prime and a direct implementation of BitTorrent for mobile environments.展开更多

In order to acquire overall managemen t, fast response and steady operation, an SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Prot ocol) based OAM, i.e., SOAM system was proposed. SOAM implements new characters of SCTP such as multi-stream, enforced SACK and heartbeat mechanism on its tran sport layer. These characters help SOAM decrease the message transmission delay and accelerate the link failure detection. Besides, a new component named SOAM agent was introduced to improve the operation efficiency of SOAM.
