Both whisker and nanometer MgSO4·5Mg(OH)2·3H2O(MOS) were prepared by hydrothermal method at 140℃for different times, using NaOH and MgSO4·7H2O as raw materials. The MgSO4·5Mg(OH)2·3H2O part icles were characterized by powder X ray diffraction(XRD),thermal analysis(TGA DSC), infrared spectroscopy(FT IR),transmission electron microscopy(SEM) and scanning electron microscopy(TEM). The size distribution in whisker like and nanocrystalline materials arein the range of 10~50μm and 10~20nm respectively. The whisker MOS is metastable phase in MgSO4 NaOH H2O system at 140℃,whereas nanometer MOS is stable phase. 展开更多

To promote the scale-up production and industrial application of magnesium oxide (MgO) whiskers, MgO whiskers were prepared by the calcination method of the precursor. The precursor MgSO4·5Mg(OH)2·2H2O (152 MOS) single component was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis reaction in MgSO4 solution and NaOH solution. MgO whisker was prepared by heating treatment of the precursor at low heating speed to keep the structure of the precursor not be destroyed. The composition, the morphology and the structure of these whiskers were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results indicate that the MgO whisker was about 0.5-1.2 μm in diameter and 20-80 μm in length, with an aspect ratio no less than 100. 展开更多

A novel flower-like hydrated magnesium carbonate hydroxide, Mg5 (CO3 )4 (OH)2·4H2O, with micro-structure composed of individual thin nano-sheets was synthesized using a facile solution route without the use of template or organic surfactant. Reaction time has an important effect on the final morphology of the product. The micro-structure and morphology of Mg5 (CO3)4 (OH)2·4H2O were characterized by means of X-ray diffractometry (XRD), fieldemission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM). Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) surface areas of the samples were also measured. The probable formation mechanism of flower-like micro-structure was discussed. It was found that Mg5 (CO3)4( OH)2·4H2O with flower-like micro-structure was a novel and efficient catalyst for the synthesis of diphenyl carbonate (DPC) by transesterification of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) with phenol. 展开更多

目的研究当总掺量不同时,复合改性硫氧镁水泥的物相组成、抗压强度及耐水性能,提出提高和改善硫氧镁水泥力学性能和耐水性能的方法.方法按材料用量的不同进行硫氧镁水泥基本配比试验;制备复合改性硫氧镁水泥;利用扫描电镜和X光谱衍射进... 目的研究当总掺量不同时,复合改性硫氧镁水泥的物相组成、抗压强度及耐水性能,提出提高和改善硫氧镁水泥力学性能和耐水性能的方法.方法按材料用量的不同进行硫氧镁水泥基本配比试验;制备复合改性硫氧镁水泥;利用扫描电镜和X光谱衍射进行微观分析.结果硫氧镁水泥的抗压强度达到最大时的基本配比:质量分数为30%,固液比为1.2,粉煤灰掺量为30%;复合酸总掺量取2%,草酸质量与柠檬酸质量比为1∶3的配比时,硫氧镁水泥28 d的抗压强度为72.5 MPa左右,是不添加改性剂硫氧镁水泥的2倍多;复合酸使水泥软化系数在0.95以上,微观分析确定新物相为5Mg(OH)_2·MgSO·7H_2O.结论加入复合酸使水泥内部更加密实,孔隙率降低,抗压强度提高,并表现出较好的耐水性能和力学性能;新物相的生成是复合改性硫氧镁水泥耐水性能和力学性能显著提高的主要原因之一. 展开更多
