The spring pool is 6.3 meters in length,4.1 meters in width, and 2.1 meters in depth.Woniu (Recumbent Ox) Spring, is locatedto the east of the Baotu Sprin g. After NewChina was founded in 1949, the governmentexp and ed Bao tu Spring Park, an d Wo niuSp ring pool was restored . The name of thespring can be found in the historic books con-cerning Jinan’s famous springs from the Jin(1125 -12 34), Ming (1 36 8-1 644 ), and Qing(1644-1911) Dynasties. The rectangular poolis 6.3 meters long, 4.1 meters wide, 2 metersdeep, and is surrounded by sculpted banisters.Wuy ou (Free from Care) Sp ring, is lo-cated to the northwest of the Baixue (WhiteSnow) Building in the Baotu Spring Park. Thespring pool, covering an area of roughly 672square meters, is 2 meters deep and irregularin shape with surround ing stones. A smallercrescent-shaped pool is the main water sourceof the Wuyou Spring, the water is crystal-clearand you can see fish swimming at the bottom.Wangshui Spring is located in the west-ern section of the Wanzhu Garden (ThousandBa mb o o Ga rd en ). Th e s p r in g p o o l isrectangular, 30 meters long, 10 meters wide,2.2 meters deep, and surrounded by stone wallson three sides. On the northern wall of the poolis a carved stone inscription "Wangshui Spring," which was written in 1910.
