Howeve...Silicon-based aluminum casting alloys are known to be one of the most widely used alloy systems mainly due to their superior casting characteristics and unique combination of mechanical and physical properties. However,manufacturing of thin-walled aluminum die-casting components,less than 1.0 mm in thickness,is generally known to be very difficult task to achieve aluminum casting alloys with high fluidity.Therefore,in this study,the optimal die-casting conditions for producing 297 mm×210 mm×0.7 mm thin-walled aluminum component was examined experimentally by using 2 different gating systems,tangential and split type,and vent design.Furthermore,computational solidification simulation was also conducted.The results showed that split type gating system was preferable gating design than tangential type gating system at the point of view of soundness of casting and distortion generated after solidification.It was also found that proper vent design was one of the most important factors for producing thin-wall casting components because it was important for the fulfillment of the thin-wall cavity and the minimization of the casting distortion.展开更多

Women, most often than not have been defined in all spheres of life in terms of their relationships with men. Most literary texts written by men over the years have tended to give women subordinate roles. A new trend however seems to have emerged with the appearance of women writers on the scene. These writers have sought to reconstruct these negative stereotypes by redefining the role of the woman in the light of current global and contemporary trends. This article sought to examine how Doris Lessing in her Golden Notebook has given voice to feminist concerns through her major protagonist:Anna Wulf. The article specifically looks at how Anna challenges patriarchal conventions and choose to express herself through writing initially considered to be the sole preserve of men. The article used the feminist literary theory as the main instrument for analysis.展开更多
The present study is conducted by looking into students’ vocabulary notebooks.The subjects of the research are 44 sophomores from the Foreign Languages Department,Beijing Wuzi University. The vocabulary notebooks the...The present study is conducted by looking into students’ vocabulary notebooks.The subjects of the research are 44 sophomores from the Foreign Languages Department,Beijing Wuzi University. The vocabulary notebooks they have kept during an entire semester works as the data of the research. The absence of meaningful collocations enhancing the learning of a word in its fullest sense has been detected together with the lack of various sources choosing words to be listed and the failure of identifying the high frequency words.It provides a useful insight into individual learning style and the pedagogical implications are also highly appraised.The findings of the research might be pessimistic but it otherwise promises a field still worth working in.展开更多
