Traditional research believes that the filling body can effectively control stress concentration while ignoring the problems of unknown stability and the complex and changeable stress distribution of the filling body...Traditional research believes that the filling body can effectively control stress concentration while ignoring the problems of unknown stability and the complex and changeable stress distribution of the filling body–surrounding rock combination under high-stress conditions.Current monitoring data processing methods cannot fully consider the complexity of monitoring objects,the diversity of monitoring methods,and the dynamics of monitoring data.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a phase space reconstruction and stability prediction method to process heterogeneous information of backfill–surrounding rock combinations.The three-dimensional monitoring system of a large-area filling body–surrounding rock combination in Longshou Mine was constructed by using drilling stress,multipoint displacement meter,and inclinometer.Varied information,such as the stress and displacement of the filling body–surrounding rock combination,was continuously obtained.Combined with the average mutual information method and the false nearest neighbor point method,the phase space of the heterogeneous information of the filling body–surrounding rock combination was then constructed.In this paper,the distance between the phase point and its nearest point was used as the index evaluation distance to evaluate the stability of the filling body–surrounding rock combination.The evaluated distances(ED)revealed a high sensitivity to the stability of the filling body–surrounding rock combination.The new method was then applied to calculate the time series of historically ED for 12 measuring points located at Longshou Mine.The moments of mutation in these time series were at least 3 months ahead of the roadway return dates.In the ED prediction experiments,the autoregressive integrated moving average model showed a higher prediction accuracy than the deep learning models(long short-term memory and Transformer).Furthermore,the root-mean-square error distribution of the prediction results peaked at 0.26,thus outperforming the no-prediction method in 70%of the cases.展开更多
Background:Improving financial time series forecasting is one of the most challenging and vital issues facing numerous financial analysts and decision makers.Given its direct impact on related decisions,various attemp...Background:Improving financial time series forecasting is one of the most challenging and vital issues facing numerous financial analysts and decision makers.Given its direct impact on related decisions,various attempts have been made to achieve more accurate and reliable forecasting results,of which the combining of individual models remains a widely applied approach.In general,individual models are combined under two main strategies:series and parallel.While it has been proven that these strategies can improve overall forecasting accuracy,the literature on time series forecasting remains vague on the choice of an appropriate strategy to generate a more accurate hybrid model.Methods:Therefore,this study’s key aim is to evaluate the performance of series and parallel strategies to determine a more accurate one.Results:Accordingly,the predictive capabilities of five hybrid models are constructed on the basis of series and parallel strategies compared with each other and with their base models to forecast stock price.To do so,autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA)and multilayer perceptrons(MLPs)are used to construct two series hybrid models,ARIMA-MLP and MLP-ARIMA,and three parallel hybrid models,simple average,linear regression,and genetic algorithm models.Conclusion:The empirical forecasting results for two benchmark datasets,that is,the closing of the Shenzhen Integrated Index(SZII)and that of Standard and Poor’s 500(S&P 500),indicate that although all hybrid models perform better than at least one of their individual components,the series combination strategy produces more accurate hybrid models for financial time series forecasting.展开更多

Due to large workspace,heavy-duty and over-constrained mechanism,a small deformation is caused and the precision of the 2-DOF planar parallel manipulator is affected.The kinematic calibration cannot compensate the end...Due to large workspace,heavy-duty and over-constrained mechanism,a small deformation is caused and the precision of the 2-DOF planar parallel manipulator is affected.The kinematic calibration cannot compensate the end-effector errors caused by the small deformation.This paper presents a method combined step kinematic calibration and linear forecast real-time error compensation in order to enhance the precision of a two degree-of-freedom(DOF) planar parallel manipulator of a hybrid machine tool.In the step kinematic calibration phase of the method,the end-effector errors caused by the errors of major constant geometrical parameters is compensated.The step kinematic calibration is based on the minimal linear combinations(MLCs) of the error parameters.All simple and feasible measurements in practice are given,and identification analysis of the set of the MLCs for each measurement is carried out.According to identification analysis results,both measurement costs and observability are considered,and a step calibration including step measurement,step identification and step error compensation is determined.The linear forecast real-time error compensation is used to compensate the end-effector errors caused by other parameters after the step kinematic calibration.Taking the advantages of the step kinematic calibration and the linear forecast real-time error compensation,a method for improving the precision of the 2-DOF planar parallel manipulator is developed.Experiment results show that the proposed method is robust and effective,so that the position errors are kept to the same order of the measurement noise.The presented method is attractive for the 2-DOF planar parallel manipulator and can be also applied to other parallel manipulators with fewer than six DOFs.展开更多

Firstly, the input data sets are optimized and their coherence is ensured, the region scale algorithm is modified and non-isometric multi scale region fuzzy time series model is built. At the same time, the particle swarm optimization algorithm about the particle speed, location and inertia weight value is improved, this method is used to optimize the parameters of support vector machine, construct the combined forecast model, build the dynamic parallel forecast model, and calculate the dynamic weight values and regard the product of the weight value and forecast value to be the final forecast values. In this paper, a series-parallel hybrid electric bus as well as its control strategy is revealed, and a control parameter optimization approach using the real-valued genetic algorithm is proposed. The optimization objective is to minimize the fuel consumption while sustain the battery state of charge, a tangent penalty function of state of charge(SOC) is embodied in the objective function to recast this multi-objective nonlinear optimization problem as a single linear optimization problem. For this strategy, the vehicle operating mode is switched based on the vehicle speed, and an "optimal line" typed strategy is designed for the parallel control. The optimization parameters include the speed threshold for mode switching, the highest state of charge allowed, the lowest state of charge allowed and the scale factor of the engine optimal torque to the engine maximum torque at a rotational speed. They are optimized through numerical experiments based on real-value genes, arithmetic crossover and mutation operators. The hybrid bus has been evaluated at the Chinese Transit Bus City Driving Cycle via road test, in which a control area network-based monitor system was used to trace the driving schedule. The test result shows that this approach is feasible for the control parameter optimization. This approach can be applied to not only the novel construction presented in this paper, but also other types of hybrid electric vehicles.展开更多

The variations of the series resistance and the shunt resistance of a PV module under different irradiance levels are also determined by considering the effect of thermal voltage. Finally, a comparison between the performance losses in the different configurations is presented. In contrast to previous works, this paper analyzes the transfer characteristics of CMOS transistors, by combining parallel currents of CMOS transistors in various W/L and negative bias voltages to realize the tunable analog predistortion function. The circuit is fabricated by a standard 0.18txm CMOS technology. The core circuit current consumption is only 15mA and the entire driver circuit works in a band-pass from 1 - 2.2GHz. Experimental results of two-tone tests have shown that with an analog predistortoer the IIP3 of the laser driver circuit has an improvement of 4.91 dB.展开更多

By combining these results with our previous result we deduce that the dynamic solution of the system converges strongly to its steady-state solution. Selective maintenance problem under economic dependence(EDSMP) is presented based on a series–parallel system in this paper. A case study shows that the system reliability is promoted to a certain extent, which can validate the validity of the EDSMP model. The influence of the ratio of set-up cost on system performance is mainly discussed under different economic dependences. Several existing improvements of classical exhaust algorithm are further modified to solve a large sized EDSMP rapidly. Experimental results illustrate that these improvements can reduce CPU time significantly.Furthermore the contribution of each improvement is defined here, and then their contributions are compared thoroughly.展开更多
