Synergistic effect of diethylene triamine penta(methylene phosphonic acid) and graphene oxide barrier on anti-scaling and anti-corrosion performance of superhydrophobic coatings

In this study,a novel diethylene triamine penta(methylene phosphonic acid)(DTPMPA)-and graphene oxide(GO)-modified superhydrophobic anodized aluminum(DGSAA)coating was fabricated.The obtained coatings were characterized by scan electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and Raman analysis.After immersion in the supersaturated CaCO_(3) solution for 240 h,the scaling mass of the DGSAA coating is only 50%of that of the SAA coating.The excellent anti-scaling performance of the DGSAA coating comes from three barriers of the air layer,the DTPMPA:Ca^(2+)chelate,and the lamellar GO,as well as the further active anti-scaling of DTPMPA:Ca^(2+)at the coating–solution interface.DTPMPA and GO at the surface of the DGSAA coating exhibit an insertion structure.In the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurement,the impedance modulus of the DGSAA coating is three orders-of-magnitude higher than that of the anodized aluminum.The synergistic effect of DTPMPA stored in the porous structure of anodized aluminum and the barrier protection of superhydrophobicity and GO contributes to the excellent comprehensive performance of the DGSAA coating.This research provides a new perspective for designing anti-scaling and anti-corrosion superhydrophobic bi-functional coatings. 展开更多

Scaling usually causes serious problems in daily life and industrial production.Currently,developing passive anti-scaling coatings has shown promises to overcome this problem.In this work,we fabricated a scalable and robust bio-inspired organogel(BIO)coating,showing dynamic scale resistance in the oil/brine mixture.The oil layer of the BIO coating was utilized as a barrier to inhibit scale nucleation and reduce scale adhesion.The mechanical strength of the coating was optimized by regulating nanoparticle contents.Moreover,the universality of scale resistance was demonstrated by varying the types of nanoparticles,oils and scales.Compared with commercial pipeline materials,such as copper,this BIO coating significantly reduces scale deposition after 240-h scaling test(ca.93%reduction).Therefore,this study designs scalable and robust organogel coatings for sustainable scale resistance,which may be used for practical application in oil production. 展开更多

In this paper,the superhydrophobic poly(vinylidene fuoride)/fuorinated ethylene propylene/SiO_(2)/CNTs-EDTA(PFSCEDTA)composite coating was successfully fabricated and applied for anti-scaling performance.The deposition of CaCO_(3) on the surface of the superhydrophobic PFSC-EDTA composite coating reached 0.0444 mg/cm^(2) for 192-h immersion into the supersaturated CaCO_(3) solution,which was only 11.4%that of the superhydrophobic PFSC composite coating.At the interface between the CaCO_(3) solution and the PFSC-EDTA coating,the Ca^(2+)could be frstly chelated by EDTA that was beneft for improving the anti-scaling performance of the superhydrophobic PFSC-EDTA composite coating.In another hand,the addition of EDTA to the CNTs played an important role in fabricating the SiO_(2)-centric and CNTs-EDTA-surrounded multilevel micro-nanostructure in the superhydrophobic PFSC-EDTA composite coating,in favor of maintaining the air flm under the water and the stability of the superhydrophobic surface.The research supplies a new way of improving antiscaling performance of superhydrophobic coating by incorporating the organic chelating agent at the interface and changing the traditional way of scale prevention. 展开更多

An Image Steganography Algorithm Based on Quantization Index Modulation Resisting Scaling Attacks and Statistical Detection

In view of the fact that the current adaptive steganography algorithms are difficult to resist scaling attacks and that a method resisting scaling attack is only for the nearest neighbor interpolation method,this paper proposes an image steganography algorithm based on quantization index modulation resisting both scaling attacks and statistical detection.For the spatial image,this paper uses the watermarking algorithm based on quantization index modulation to extract the embedded domain.Then construct the embedding distortion function of the new embedded domain based on S-UNIWARD steganography,and use the minimum distortion coding to realize the embedding of the secret messages.Finally,according to the embedding modification amplitude of secret messages in the new embedded domain,the quantization index modulation algorithm is applied to realize the final embedding of secret messages in the original embedded domain.The experimental results show that the algorithm proposed is robust to the three common interpolation attacks including the nearest neighbor interpolation,the bilinear interpolation and the bicubic interpolation.And the average correct extraction rate of embedded messages increases from 50%to over 93% after 0.5 times-fold scaling attack using the bicubic interpolation method,compared with the classical steganography algorithm S-UNIWARD.Also the algorithm proposed has higher detection resistance than the original watermarking algorithm based on quantization index modulation. 展开更多
