Behaviors of the machine itself are also studied, like some tracking control o...Most current studies about shield tunneling machine focus on the construction safety and tunnel structure stability during the excavation. Behaviors of the machine itself are also studied, like some tracking control of the machine. Yet, few works concern about the hydraulic components, especially the pressure and flow rate regulation components. This research focuses on pressure control strategies by using proportional pressure relief valve, which is widely applied on typical shield tunneling machines. Modeling of a commercial pressure relief valve is done. The modeling centers on the main valve, because the dynamic performance is determined by the main valve. To validate such modeling, a frequency-experiment result of the pressure relief valve, whose bandwidth is about 3 Hz, is presented as comparison. The modeling and the frequency experimental result show that it is reasonable to regard the pressure relief valve as a second-order system with two low corner frequencies. PID control, dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control(ARC) are proposed and simulation results are presented. For the ARC, implements by using first order approximation and second order approximation are presented. The simulation results show that the second order approximation implement with ARC can track 4 Hz sine signal very well, and the two ARC simulation errors are within 0.2 MPa. Finally, experiment results of dead band compensation control and adaptive robust control are given. The results show that dead band compensation had about 30° phase lag and about 20% off of the amplitude attenuation. ARC is tracking with little phase lag and almost no amplitude attenuation. In this research, ARC has been tested on a pressure relief valve. It is able to improve the valve's dynamic performances greatly, and it is capable of the pressure control of shield machine excavation.展开更多

The desired pressure is determined by using the finite element method. A linear quadratic constant state tracking problem was considered over an infinite time interval. The optimal control law was derived by differentiating the Hamilton function with respect to system input. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed mathematical model and optimal control law, an experimental study on the pressure control of the soil chamber in shield tunneling was conducted in a laboratory. The experiment results show that soil pressure in the soil chamber in shield tunneling can be accurately controlled.展开更多

Since inner-dot tunneling in quantum-dot molecules can be controlled by a gate voltage, destructive quantum coherence among multilevel transitions in quantum-dot molecule would give rise to EIT (electromagnetically induced transparency). In this report, we shall investigate controllable on- and off-resonance tunneling effects of an incident electromagnetic wave through such a quan-tum-dot-molecule dielectric film, of which the optical response is tuned by the switchable gate voltage. We have found from the theoretical mechanism that a high gate voltage can cause the EIT phenomenon of quan-tum-dot-molecule systems, and under the condition of on-resonance light tunneling through the thin film, the probe field will propagation without loss if the probe frequency detuning is zero. By taking advantage of these effects sensitive to the tunable gate voltage, such quantum coherence would be inte-grated in certain photonic structures, and some devices such as photonic switching and transistors can be designed. Transient evolution of optical characteristics in the quantum-dot-molecule dielectric film (once the tunable gate voltage is turned on or off) is also considered in this report.展开更多

It is shown that the lateral shift can become either large negative or large positive, which can be controlled by the electron tunneling and the rate of incoherent pump field in different incident angles. It is also demonstrated that the properties of the OH shifts are strongly dependent on the probe absorption beam of the intracavity medium due to the switching from superluminal light propagation to subluminal behavior or vice versa. Our suggested system can be considered as a new theoretical method for developing a new nano-optoelectronic sensor.展开更多

The rockbursts occurred in various forms, and it is necessary to take pertinent measures for integrated prevention and control of rockbursts. In view of the rockburst characteristics during tunnel construction of Jinping II hydropower station, the engineering geological conditions were presented, and the features, mechanisms and forms of rockbursts observed during construction were analyzed in detail. A large number of scientific researches, experiments and applications were conducted. Multiple measures were adopted to prevent and control rockbursts, including the prediction and early warning measures, stress relief by blasting in advance, optimized blasting design and optimized tunnel support in the tunnel sections prone to strong rockbursts. The effectiveness of these prevention and control measures was evaluated. Experiences have been accumulated through a great number of helpful explorations and practices for rockburst prevention and control. The control of slurry pressure aiming to be consistent with the external water and earth pressure during shield tunnelling has great significance for face stability,especially in urban areas or underwater where the su...The control of slurry pressure aiming to be consistent with the external water and earth pressure during shield tunnelling has great significance for face stability,especially in urban areas or underwater where the surrounding environment is very sensitive to the fluctuation of slurry pressure.In this study,an optimal control method for slurry pressure during shield tunnelling is developed,which is composed of an identifier and a controller.The established identifier based on the random forest(RF)can describe the complex non-linear relationship between slurry pressure and its influencing factors.The proposed controller based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)can optimize the key factor to precisely control the slurry pressure at the normal state of advancement.A data set from Tsinghua Yuan Tunnel in China was used to train the RF model and several performance measures like R2,RMSE,etc.,were employed to evaluate.Then,the hybrid RF-PSO control method is adopted to optimize the control of slurry pressure.The good agreement between optimized slurry pressure and expected values demonstrates a high identifying and control precision.展开更多
In wind tunnel tests,long cantilever stings are usually used to support aerodynamic models.However,this kind of sting support system is prone to vibration problems due to its low damping,which limits the test envelope...In wind tunnel tests,long cantilever stings are usually used to support aerodynamic models.However,this kind of sting support system is prone to vibration problems due to its low damping,which limits the test envelope and affects the data quality.It is shown in many studies that the sting vibration can be effectively reduced by using active sting dampers based on piezoelectric actuators.This paper attempts to review the research progress of piezoelectric vibration control in wind tunnel tests,covering the design of active sting dampers,control methods and wind tunnel applications.First of all,different design schemes of active sting dampers are briefly introduced,along with the vibration damping principle.Then,a comprehensive review of the control methods for active sting dampers is presented,ranging from classic control methods,like PID control algorithm,to various intelligent control methods.Furthermore,the applications of active sting dampers and controllers in different wind tunnels are summarized to evaluate their vibration damping effect.Finally,the remaining problems that need to be solved in the future development of piezoelectric vibration control in wind tunnel tests are discussed.展开更多

It was found that, in a given etchant solution at a special temperature, the longest tunnel length was only a function of the turn-on interval of DC. The potential of Al foil broke at on-off controlling DC by the result from anode polarization curves and potential-time (E-t) responding curves. When DC was switched on, the potential increased abruptly over pitting potential, leading to nucleation of pits at the surface and the growth of tunnels at special length. When DC was switched off, the potential decreased rapidly to a passive value, leading to stoppage of nucleation and death of tunnels. By this way, the longest tunnel length can be controlled and a non-piercing layer can be obtained. Hence, etching of Al foil at this current is beneficial for maintaining a good mechanical strength.展开更多

A sort of linear weighted logarithmic function is exploited to avoid weak subgoals. In simulation, the particle swarm-based control method is evaluated and compared with traditional empirical method in the case of the HZMB project. Simulation results show that the presented method delivers performance improvement in terms of the enhanced surplus towing force.展开更多

In the construction of a soft rock tunnel,it is critical to accurately estimate the pre-stressed anchor support parameters for surrounding rock reinforcement;otherwise,engineering disasters may occur.This paper presen...In the construction of a soft rock tunnel,it is critical to accurately estimate the pre-stressed anchor support parameters for surrounding rock reinforcement;otherwise,engineering disasters may occur.This paper presents a support parameter selection method that aims to allow deformation as a control objective,which was applied to the tunnel located in Muzailing Highway,Min County,Dingxi City,Gansu Province,China.Through theoretical analysis,we have identified five factors that influence pre-stressing anchorages.The selection of mechanical parameters for the rock mass was carried out using an inverse analysis method.Compared with the measured data,the maximum displacement error of the numerical simulation results was only 0.07 m.The length of anchor cable,circumferential spacing of anchor cable,longitudinal spacing,and pre-stress index are adopted as the input parameters for the support vector machine neural network model based on particle swarm optimization(PSO-LSSVM).Besides,the vault subsidence and the maximum deformation of surrounding rock are considered as output values(performance indices).The goodness of fit between the predicted values and the simulated values exceeds 0.9.Finally,all support parameters within the acceptable deformation range are calculated.The optimal support variables are derived by considering the construction cost and duration.The field application results show that it is feasible to construct the sample database utilizing the numerical simulation approach by taking the displacement as the control target and using the neural network to specify the appropriate support parameters.展开更多

The driving section of the wind tunnel has 100 PC cooling fans that are controlled by an original embedded system. The fluctuating velocity wind is successfully generated with a mean velocity of 7 m/s and two turbulent intensities of 2% and 3% based on Karman’s power spectrum density function. The case of 2% has the integral scales of 5 m, 10m and 20 m, and the case of 3% has the integral scales of 3 m, 6 m and 15 m with a turbulence grid. In particular, the wind with the turbulent intensity of 2% satisfies the Kolmogorov’s -5/3 multiplication rule of inertial subrange with the frequency range from 0.01 Hz to 2.0 Hz. Consequently, the new wind tunnel can be used for studying engineering technology and research regarding conditions with natural wind.展开更多

METHODS Forty-five patients(49 hands) were enrolled into the...AIM To compared outcomes between the hypothenar fat pad flap(HTFPF) and conventional open carpal tunnel release(COR) in primary carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS). METHODS Forty-five patients(49 hands) were enrolled into the study from January 2014 to March 2016, 8 patients were excluded. Randomization was conducted in 37 patients(41 hands) by computer generated(Block of four randomization) into COR and HTFPF group. Nerve conduction study(NCS) included distal sensory latency(DSL), distal motor latency(DML), sensory amplitude (S-amp), motor amplitude(M-amp) and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV) were examined at 6 and 12 wk after CTR. Levine score, grip and pinch strength, pain [visual analog scale(VAS)], 2-point discrimination(2-PD), Semmes-Weinstein monofilament test(SWM), Phalen test and Tinel's sign were evaluated in order to compare treatment outcomes.RESULTS The COR group, 19 patients(20 hands) mean age 50.4 years. The HTFPF group, 20 patients(21 hands) mean age 53.3 years. Finally 33 patients(36 hands) were analysed, 5 patients were loss follow-up, 17 hands in COR and 19 hands in HTFPF group. NCS revealed significant difference of DSL in HTFPF group at 6 wk(P < 0.05) compared with the COR group. S-amp was significant improved postoperatively in both groups(P < 0.05) but not significant difference between two groups. No significant difference of DML, M-amp and SCV postoperatively in both groups and between two groups. Levine score, pain(VAS), grip and pinch strength, 2-PD, SWM, Phalen test and Tinel's sign were improved postoperatively in both groups, but there was no significant difference between two groups.CONCLUSION There is no advantage outcome in primary CTS for having additional HTFPF procedure in CTR. COR is still the standard treatment. Nevertheless, improvement of DSL and S-amp could be observed at 6 wk postoperatively.展开更多

The Internet Control Message Protocol(ICMP)covert tunnel refers to a network attack that encapsulates malicious data in the data part of the ICMP protocol for transmission.Its concealment is stronger and it is not eas...The Internet Control Message Protocol(ICMP)covert tunnel refers to a network attack that encapsulates malicious data in the data part of the ICMP protocol for transmission.Its concealment is stronger and it is not easy to be discovered.Most detection methods are detecting the existence of channels instead of clarifying specific attack intentions.In this paper,we propose an ICMP covert tunnel attack intent detection framework ICMPTend,which includes five steps:data collection,feature dictionary construction,data preprocessing,model construction,and attack intent prediction.ICMPTend can detect a variety of attack intentions,such as shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network attacks.We extract features from five types of attack intent found in ICMP channels.We build a multi-dimensional dictionary of malicious features,including shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network attack keywords.For the high-dimensional and independent characteristics of ICMP traffic,we use a support vector machine(SVM)as a multi-class classifier.The experimental results show that the average accuracy of ICMPTend is 92%,training ICMPTend only takes 55 s,and the prediction time is only 2 s,which can effectively identify the attack intention of ICMP.展开更多

Modifications to the wind tunnel are made in order to generate the turbulences in the test chamber. Specifically, for the turbulence analysis, the reflective symmetry concept is used in order to group the different turbulences cases generated in the wind tunnel test chamber. The Ansys software is used in order to model and analyze the wind tunnel. Specific platform or module known as Fluent is used for the analysis of the turbulence generated in the wind tunnel. To design proposal of a wind tunnel capable to generate and controlling turbulences is exposed in this paper. For this, the controller design and verification are performed by means of simulations. To obtain the control law structure, the inversion concept is used. The proposed control law is validated via a co-simulation implemented in the Simplorer module, with the aim of combining the power electronics part, controller and engine, with the proposed model wind tunnel.展开更多

In view of the rockburst characteristics during tunnel construction of Jinping II hydropower station, the engineering geological conditions were presented, and the features, mechanisms and forms of rockbursts observed during construction were analyzed in detail. A large number of scientific researches, experiments and applications were conducted. Multiple measures were adopted to prevent and control rockbursts, including the prediction and early warning measures, stress relief by blasting in advance, optimized blasting design and optimized tunnel support in the tunnel sections prone to strong rockbursts. The effectiveness of these prevention and control measures was evaluated. Experiences have been accumulated through a great number of helpful explorations and practices for rockburst prevention and control. A comprehensive rockburst prevention and control system has been gradually established.

文摘The control of slurry pressure aiming to be consistent with the external water and earth pressure during shield tunnelling has great significance for face stability,especially in urban areas or underwater where the surrounding environment is very sensitive to the fluctuation of slurry pressure.In this study,an optimal control method for slurry pressure during shield tunnelling is developed,which is composed of an identifier and a controller.The established identifier based on the random forest(RF)can describe the complex non-linear relationship between slurry pressure and its influencing factors.The proposed controller based on particle swarm optimization(PSO)can optimize the key factor to precisely control the slurry pressure at the normal state of advancement.A data set from Tsinghua Yuan Tunnel in China was used to train the RF model and several performance measures like R2,RMSE,etc.,were employed to evaluate.Then,the hybrid RF-PSO control method is adopted to optimize the control of slurry pressure.The good agreement between optimized slurry pressure and expected values demonstrates a high identifying and control precision.

文摘In wind tunnel tests,long cantilever stings are usually used to support aerodynamic models.However,this kind of sting support system is prone to vibration problems due to its low damping,which limits the test envelope and affects the data quality.It is shown in many studies that the sting vibration can be effectively reduced by using active sting dampers based on piezoelectric actuators.This paper attempts to review the research progress of piezoelectric vibration control in wind tunnel tests,covering the design of active sting dampers,control methods and wind tunnel applications.First of all,different design schemes of active sting dampers are briefly introduced,along with the vibration damping principle.Then,a comprehensive review of the control methods for active sting dampers is presented,ranging from classic control methods,like PID control algorithm,to various intelligent control methods.Furthermore,the applications of active sting dampers and controllers in different wind tunnels are summarized to evaluate their vibration damping effect.Finally,the remaining problems that need to be solved in the future development of piezoelectric vibration control in wind tunnel tests are discussed.

文摘Growth and passivation of tunnels within Al foil by on-off controlling DC etching in 6 wt.% HCI solution has been investigated. It was found that, in a given etchant solution at a special temperature, the longest tunnel length was only a function of the turn-on interval of DC. The potential of Al foil broke at on-off controlling DC by the result from anode polarization curves and potential-time (E-t) responding curves. When DC was switched on, the potential increased abruptly over pitting potential, leading to nucleation of pits at the surface and the growth of tunnels at special length. When DC was switched off, the potential decreased rapidly to a passive value, leading to stoppage of nucleation and death of tunnels. By this way, the longest tunnel length can be controlled and a non-piercing layer can be obtained. Hence, etching of Al foil at this current is beneficial for maintaining a good mechanical strength.

文摘Immersed tunnel is an important part of the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge(HZMB) project. In immersed tunnel floating, translation which includes straight and transverse movements is the main working mode. To decide the magnitude and direction of the towing force for each tug, a particle swarm-based translation control method is presented for non-power immersed tunnel element. A sort of linear weighted logarithmic function is exploited to avoid weak subgoals. In simulation, the particle swarm-based control method is evaluated and compared with traditional empirical method in the case of the HZMB project. Simulation results show that the presented method delivers performance improvement in terms of the enhanced surplus towing force.
文摘In order to study the failure characteristics and control method of deep tunnel surrounding rock, based on the stress test, the structure and stress state of the main transportation tunnel surrounding rock in Mine Zhaogezhuang level 14 was analyzed, and it shows that the surrounding rock is exposed to an interphase hard and soft disadvantageous structure state and complex high stress repeated addition area;Through the theoretical analysis and the statistical data, the relation between the tunnel stress transformation and the surrounding rock deformation was proposed;Through the numerical simulation of the tunnel surrounding rock failure process with the help of RFPA procedure, the results show that the damage of the transportation tunnel level 14 mainly occurs in the bottom and the two coal ribs, and the failure process is spreading from the bottom to the two coal ribs, and the effect of the surrounding rock deformation control is obvious by using the way of 2.5 m anchor with 1.0 m grouting strengthening.

文摘In the construction of a soft rock tunnel,it is critical to accurately estimate the pre-stressed anchor support parameters for surrounding rock reinforcement;otherwise,engineering disasters may occur.This paper presents a support parameter selection method that aims to allow deformation as a control objective,which was applied to the tunnel located in Muzailing Highway,Min County,Dingxi City,Gansu Province,China.Through theoretical analysis,we have identified five factors that influence pre-stressing anchorages.The selection of mechanical parameters for the rock mass was carried out using an inverse analysis method.Compared with the measured data,the maximum displacement error of the numerical simulation results was only 0.07 m.The length of anchor cable,circumferential spacing of anchor cable,longitudinal spacing,and pre-stress index are adopted as the input parameters for the support vector machine neural network model based on particle swarm optimization(PSO-LSSVM).Besides,the vault subsidence and the maximum deformation of surrounding rock are considered as output values(performance indices).The goodness of fit between the predicted values and the simulated values exceeds 0.9.Finally,all support parameters within the acceptable deformation range are calculated.The optimal support variables are derived by considering the construction cost and duration.The field application results show that it is feasible to construct the sample database utilizing the numerical simulation approach by taking the displacement as the control target and using the neural network to specify the appropriate support parameters.
文摘This paper describes a new actively controlled multi-fan wind tunnel that generates natural wind as a type of turbulence wind tunnel at a reduced cost. The driving section of the wind tunnel has 100 PC cooling fans that are controlled by an original embedded system. The fluctuating velocity wind is successfully generated with a mean velocity of 7 m/s and two turbulent intensities of 2% and 3% based on Karman’s power spectrum density function. The case of 2% has the integral scales of 5 m, 10m and 20 m, and the case of 3% has the integral scales of 3 m, 6 m and 15 m with a turbulence grid. In particular, the wind with the turbulent intensity of 2% satisfies the Kolmogorov’s -5/3 multiplication rule of inertial subrange with the frequency range from 0.01 Hz to 2.0 Hz. Consequently, the new wind tunnel can be used for studying engineering technology and research regarding conditions with natural wind.
文摘AIM To compared outcomes between the hypothenar fat pad flap(HTFPF) and conventional open carpal tunnel release(COR) in primary carpal tunnel syndrome(CTS). METHODS Forty-five patients(49 hands) were enrolled into the study from January 2014 to March 2016, 8 patients were excluded. Randomization was conducted in 37 patients(41 hands) by computer generated(Block of four randomization) into COR and HTFPF group. Nerve conduction study(NCS) included distal sensory latency(DSL), distal motor latency(DML), sensory amplitude (S-amp), motor amplitude(M-amp) and sensory nerve conduction velocity(SCV) were examined at 6 and 12 wk after CTR. Levine score, grip and pinch strength, pain [visual analog scale(VAS)], 2-point discrimination(2-PD), Semmes-Weinstein monofilament test(SWM), Phalen test and Tinel's sign were evaluated in order to compare treatment outcomes.RESULTS The COR group, 19 patients(20 hands) mean age 50.4 years. The HTFPF group, 20 patients(21 hands) mean age 53.3 years. Finally 33 patients(36 hands) were analysed, 5 patients were loss follow-up, 17 hands in COR and 19 hands in HTFPF group. NCS revealed significant difference of DSL in HTFPF group at 6 wk(P < 0.05) compared with the COR group. S-amp was significant improved postoperatively in both groups(P < 0.05) but not significant difference between two groups. No significant difference of DML, M-amp and SCV postoperatively in both groups and between two groups. Levine score, pain(VAS), grip and pinch strength, 2-PD, SWM, Phalen test and Tinel's sign were improved postoperatively in both groups, but there was no significant difference between two groups.CONCLUSION There is no advantage outcome in primary CTS for having additional HTFPF procedure in CTR. COR is still the standard treatment. Nevertheless, improvement of DSL and S-amp could be observed at 6 wk postoperatively.
文摘Based on the TK7 high-temperature tunnel kiln computer control system, this article describes the control line system, the automatic loop control which has been realized in firing zone temperature, inner and bottom pressure and flow, and logic control of kiln doors and pusher, etc. In addition, this system integrates the product information management system of magnesite brick and efficiently ensures the important process parameters. During three months performance of the control system, all parameters and energy consumption have turned out a good result.

文摘An N-stage three-waveguide system is proposed to improve the robustness and the fidelity of the resonant tunneling passage.The analytic solutions to the tunneling dynamics at the output are derived.When the number of subsystems increases,tunneling efficiency approaches to 100%in a large range and resonant tunneling is robust against variations in the phase mismatch and peak tunneling rate.

文摘The Internet Control Message Protocol(ICMP)covert tunnel refers to a network attack that encapsulates malicious data in the data part of the ICMP protocol for transmission.Its concealment is stronger and it is not easy to be discovered.Most detection methods are detecting the existence of channels instead of clarifying specific attack intentions.In this paper,we propose an ICMP covert tunnel attack intent detection framework ICMPTend,which includes five steps:data collection,feature dictionary construction,data preprocessing,model construction,and attack intent prediction.ICMPTend can detect a variety of attack intentions,such as shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network attacks.We extract features from five types of attack intent found in ICMP channels.We build a multi-dimensional dictionary of malicious features,including shell attacks,sensitive directory access,communication protocol traffic theft,filling tunnel reserved words,and other common network attack keywords.For the high-dimensional and independent characteristics of ICMP traffic,we use a support vector machine(SVM)as a multi-class classifier.The experimental results show that the average accuracy of ICMPTend is 92%,training ICMPTend only takes 55 s,and the prediction time is only 2 s,which can effectively identify the attack intention of ICMP.

文摘The biggest environmental problem caused by the construction of tunnels adjacent to high-rise buildings is the settlement of buildings.The paper analyzes the influence of tunnel excavation on the deformation of the superstructure and the deformation mode of the superstructure.It introduces the indicators and standards for the construction control of tunnel adjacent to the building at home and abroad.Combined with the Yuzhong tunnel project under construction in Chongqing,the main monitoring indicators and control standards of the Yuzhong Tunnel passing through the main buildings are given after comprehensive analysis and considerations,which provide a reference for the deformation control indicators of similar urban traffic tunnels adjacent to high-rise buildings.
文摘In this paper, the generation and control of turbulences in a wind tunnel, for design, analysis and testing of test objects are proposed. Modifications to the wind tunnel are made in order to generate the turbulences in the test chamber. Specifically, for the turbulence analysis, the reflective symmetry concept is used in order to group the different turbulences cases generated in the wind tunnel test chamber. The Ansys software is used in order to model and analyze the wind tunnel. Specific platform or module known as Fluent is used for the analysis of the turbulence generated in the wind tunnel. To design proposal of a wind tunnel capable to generate and controlling turbulences is exposed in this paper. For this, the controller design and verification are performed by means of simulations. To obtain the control law structure, the inversion concept is used. The proposed control law is validated via a co-simulation implemented in the Simplorer module, with the aim of combining the power electronics part, controller and engine, with the proposed model wind tunnel.
