Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint application in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:A comprehensive search of domestic and internation...Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint application in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:A comprehensive search of domestic and international databases,the search time is limited to nearly ten years,collecting traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase of randomized controlled trials.Literature screening,information extraction and literature quality evaluation were carried out independently by two researchers,and Meta analysis was carried out by Revman software.Results:A total of 42 RCTs with a total of 4192 patients were included.The results of Meta analysis showed that:Compared with the routine treatment of western medicine,the addition of acupoint application therapy can significantly increase the effective rate[RR=1.23,95%CI(1.19,1.27),P<0.00001]and FEV1/FVC[MD=4.46,95%CI(3.17,5.76),P<0.00001].Significantly improved BODE index[MD=-0.63,95%CI(-0.87,-0.40),P<0.00001],SGRQ score[MD=-6.77,95%CI(-9.81,-3.72),P<0.00001],CAT score[MD=-3.33,95%CI(-3.87,-2.79),P<0.00001]and TCM syndrome integral[MD=-3.51,95%CI(-3.96,-3.06),P<0.00001].The differences is statistically significant and the safety profile is good.Conclusion:On the basis of routine treatment of COPD western medicine,acupoint application therapy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with less adverse reactions.However,due to the limitations of the research,high-quality research is still needed to provide further evidence.展开更多
Background:Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of the common complications of appendectomy,which seriously affects the postoperative recovery and clinical prognosis.Through traditional Chinese medicine acupoint applic...Background:Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of the common complications of appendectomy,which seriously affects the postoperative recovery and clinical prognosis.Through traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application is suggested for managing postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction,supporting evidence is weak.Here,the prospective randomized placebo-controlled study was designed to provide high-level evidence regarding whether traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application is effective on the gastrointestinal dysfunction after appendectomy.Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent appendectomy in Dongfang Hospital Beijing University of Chinese Medicine(Beijing,China)from November 2016 to December 2017 were selected as study objects and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and observation group(n=30).Based on routine postoperative care,the acupoints Zusanli(ST36)and Yongquan(KI1)were selected.The control group was given acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine placebo and the observation group was given acupoint application of clinical empirical Chinese medicine called Wentongliqi prescription.The course of treatment was performed on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy,once a day and 4 hours each time.The primary outcome includes the time until the recovery time of bowel sounds(h),the first postoperative flatus(h)and first bowel movement time(h)on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy.The secondary outcome includes clinical symptom score,life ability score and adverse reactions were observed and recorded on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy.Results:After treatment,the recovery time of intestinal sound in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group(P<0.05).However,there were no significant difference between the two groups in first anal exhaust time and first bowel movement time,clinical symptom scores and life ability scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application therapy has limited effect on the recovery of gastrointestinal dysfunction after appendectomy.Further study with large sample size is needed to confirm its therapeutic effects.展开更多

Methods: A total of 120 cases were allocated into an observation group, a warm needling group and an acupoint sticking group according to the random number table, with 40 cases in each group. Cases in the observation group received warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy;cases in the warm needling group received the same warm needling moxibustion in the observation group;cases in the acupoint sticking group received the same acupoint sticking therapy in the observation group. The scores of Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) and visual analog scale (VAS) were recorded before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 95.0% in the observation group, versus 77.5% in the warm needling group and 75.0% in the acupoint sticking group (both P<0.05). Inter-group differences in JOA and VAS between the observation group and the other two groups were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy is effective in treating cervical radiculopathy, and it can significantly alleviate pain and enhance clinical efficacy, and thus is worth clinical popularization.展开更多

Methods: A multi-center, double-blinded, double-dummy and randomized controlled method was adopted in this trial. A total of 244 patients were randomly assigned to a trial group and a control group according to the random number, each with 122 patients; treatment allocation occurred when the participants met the inclusion criteria and signed the informed consent form. In the trial group, patients were treated with BFYSG combined with "Shufei Tie" acupoint sticking therapy and sustained-release theophylline dummy, and in the control group patients were treated with oral sustained-release theophylline and BFYSG dummy combined with "Shufei Tie" acupoint sticking therapy dummy. The therapeutic course for two groups was 4 months and the follow-up was 6 months. The frequency and duration of acute exacerbation calculated by adding up each frequency and duration of acute exacerbation in treatment and follow-up time respectively, the quality of life measured by the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF scale and adult COPD quality of life (COPD-QOL) scale were observed. Results: Among the 244 enrolled patients, 234 were screened for full analysis set (FAS); 221 were screened for per-protocol analysis set (PPS). After 4-month treatment and 6-month follow-up there were differences between the trial group and the control group in frequency of acute exacerbation (FAS: P=0.013; PPS: P=0.046); duration of acute exacerbation (FAS: P=0.005; PPS: P=0.006); scores of physiological, psychological and environment aspects of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire (FAS: P=0.002, P=0.006, P=0.000; PPS: P=0.00, P=0.001, P=0.000); scores of daily living ability, social activity, depression symptoms aspects of the COPD-QOL questionnaire (FAS: P=0.000, P=0.000, P=0.006; PPS: P=0.002, P=0.001, P=0.001). Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods:A tota...Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods:A total of 120 patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery were included,and all patients were under trachea intubation and general anesthesia.The patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 60 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional anesthesia resuscitation,while patients in the observation group received acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy on the basis of conventional anesthesia resuscitation.Changes in the heart rate (HR),systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were observed at three time points including the end of the surgery (TO),the removal of the tracheal tube (T1) and 10 min after the removal of the tracheal tube (T2).The awakening and tube removal time,choking cough and restlessness,and adverse reactions (dizziness,nausea and vomiting) in 24 h post-surgery period were compared.Results:At T1 and T2,the comparisons of HR,SBP and DBP between the two groups showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Intra-group comparisons showed that the HR,SBP and DBP of the control group at T1 and T2 were significant different from those at TO (all P<0.05).There were significant differences in the awakening time and tube removal time between the two groups (both P<0.05).The incidences of choking cough and restlessness were 8.3% and 3.3% respectively in the observation group,versus 53.3% and 30.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (both P<0.05).The incidences of dizziness,nausea and vomiting in 24 h post-surgery period were 3.3%,5.0% and 0.0% respectively in the observation group,versus 43.3%,33.3% and 25.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy can effectively regulate the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery,and maintain a stable internal environment.展开更多

Methods: Seventy children of ICP with spleen deficiency pattern were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. Those in the treatment group were given the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy plus pinching spine and acupoint sticking therapy. Those in the control group were just given the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy. The treatment was given once every day, 20-day as one course, and totally for three courses. Results: The total effective rate of the clinical symptoms was 77.1% in the treatment group and 39.9% in the control groups. The total effective rate of rehabilitation effects was 74.3% in the treatment group and 48.6% in the control group. The effective rate was obviously better in the treatment group than that in the control group, with statistical differences (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Pinching spine plus acupoint sticking therapy is remarkable in the therapeutic effects for ICP with spleen deficiency pattern, and needs to be popularized clinically.展开更多

Methods: A total of 60 eligible cases were randomly allocated into a treatment group (n=30) and a control group (n=30) according to their sequence of consultation. Patients in the treatment group were treated with warm needling combined with acupoint sticking therapy, whereas patients in the control group were treated with oral Ibuprofen (Fenbid) capsules. After two menstrual cycles, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score, COX menstrual symptom scale (CMSS) and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the VAS and CMSS scores were significantly reduced in both groups, indicating that both treatment protocols can remarkably alleviate pain. There was a between-group statistical difference in comparing the CMSS score (P〈0.05), but no between-group statistical difference in the VAS score (P〉0.05). However, the follow-up visit showed between-group statistical differences in comparing VOA and CMSS scores (both P〈0.01). The clinical effect, relapse rate and long-term efficacy in the treatment group were better than those in the control group. Conclusion: Warm needling plus acupoint sticking therapy is a simple but effective therapy for primary dysmenorrhea. In addition, it causes fewer cases with relapse.展开更多
Objective To observe the effects of acupoint sticking therapy of different dosages and durations on the subjective and objective sleep indicators in insomnia patients.Methods Ninety-six patients with insomnia due to l...Objective To observe the effects of acupoint sticking therapy of different dosages and durations on the subjective and objective sleep indicators in insomnia patients.Methods Ninety-six patients with insomnia due to liver-Qi stagnation and spleen deficiency were divided into a high-dosage 7 d group(25 cases),a high-dosage 14 d group(22 cases),a low-dosage 7 d group(21 cases),and a low-dosage 14 d group(28 cases)using the random numbers generated in a stratified and stage-by-stage manner in combination with the visiting sequence.The four groups all received the same acupuncture treatment,but acupoint sticking therapy varied in dosage and duration.Before and after treatment,the actigraphic readings(total time in bed,total sleep time,sleep efficiency,number of wake bouts,length of wakes after asleep,and sleep latency),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score,and symptoms score of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)were observed.A correlation analysis was conducted among the subjective and objective indicators.Results The PSQI score was positively correlated with the total time in bed and total sleep time(P<0.05).After treatment,the sleep latency,PSQI scores,and TCM symptoms scores changed significantly in the four groups(P<0.05).The total sleep time and sleep efficiency gained improvements after treatment in the high-dosage 14 d and low-dosage 14 d groups(P<0.05).The high-dosage acupoint sticking groups had longer total sleep time compared with the low-dosage groups of the same treatment duration(P<0.05).After treatment,the length of wakes after asleep,PSQI scores,and TCM symptoms scores were better in the 14 d groups than in the 7 d groups of the same acupoint sticking dosage(P<0.05).Conclusion Given the same acupuncture treatment,acupoint sticking therapy of different treatment durations produces different effects on the length of wakes after asleep,PSQI score,and TCM symptoms score in insomnia patients,and the 14-day acupoint sticking treatment is superior to the 7-day treatment.展开更多

Conclusion: The method of using Wu Zhu Yu (Fructus Evodia) paste applying to acupoint Yongquan (KI 1), integrated with the manipulation of strengthening kidney, can effectively shorten the duration of disease, improve the symptoms, and control recurrency, which is good for this disease.展开更多
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus electroacupuncture(EA)for treating peripheral facial paralysis and its influence on patients'faci...Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus electroacupuncture(EA)for treating peripheral facial paralysis and its influence on patients'facial nerve functions,facial disability index and clinical symptoms and signs.Methods:A total of 96 peripheral facial paralysis patients were allocated into an observation group,a medicine group and an EA group by simple randomization,with 32 cases in each group.Patients in the medicine group were treated with oral mecobalamine and prednisone acetate;patients in the EA group were treated with EA on the basis of the medicine treatment;while patients in the observation group were treated with acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus EA.After 4-week treatment,the clinical efficacy,the adverse events,and the scores of House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function grading scale,visual analog scale(VAS),clinical symptoms and signs,and facial disability index(FDI)were compared.Results:After 4-week treatment,the total effective rate was 96.9%in the observation group,higher than 68.7%in the medicine group and 75.0%in the EA group(both P<0.05).After 4-week treatment,the scores of H-B grading scale,VAS and clinical symptoms and signs in the three groups dropped significantly compared with those before treatment,and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the medicine group and EA group(all P<0.05).After 4-week treatment,the facial disability index-physical function(FDIP)in the FDI in the three groups increased significantly,with a higher value in the observation group compared with that in the medicine group and EA group(both P<0.05).The facial disability index-social function(FDIS)in the FDI dropped significantly,with a lower score in the observation group compared with that in the medicine group and EA group(both P<0.05).However,the comparisons of the items above between the medicine group and the EA group showed no statistical significance(all P>0.05).The between-group comparison of the adverse event across the three groups showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus EA can decrease H-B grade,reduce pain severity and improve clinical symptoms and signs as well as the facial disability condition in peripheral facial paralysis patients.This method produced more significant efficacy compared with oral medicine and medicine plus EA.展开更多

Methods: 300 cases of asthma out-patients in a remission period were divided into a treatment group (150 cases) and a control group (150 cases). The control group was given the basic treatment, and the treatment group was given external application on the acupoints in July and December every year, as well as the basic treatment of the control group, with continuous treatment for 2 years as one course. ECP, 6-keto-PGF 1, and TXB2 were checked every year in the patients of the two groups, and an Asthma Control Test Table was filled in for comparative analysis. Results: After the external application on the acupoints, the frequency of seizures, dyspnea and frequency of medication administration of the patients had been more reduced than those in the control group, indicating that the levels of ECP in inflammation of air passage and of 6-eto-GF 1 and TXB2 were obviously improved (P〈0.05). Methods: A total of 70 patients were randomized into an acupoint injection plus sticking group and an acupiont sticking group by the random number table, with 35 cases in each group. The treatment took place in July and August. The acupoint injection plus sticking group was treated with acupoint injection and acupiont sticking, while the acupiont sticking group was treated only with acupiont sticking therapy. The treatment course was 4 weeks. After the treatment, the scores of symptom scale in the two groups before treatment, 3 months and 6 months after the treatment were observed. Results: During the treatment, there were 5 dropouts in the acupoint injection plus sticking group with 30 cases remained, and 4 dropouts in the acupiont sticking group with 31 cases remained. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference in the total scores of symptom scale between the two groups. Three months after the treatment, the total scores of symptom scale of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (bothP<0.05). In the inter-group comparison, there was no significant difference in the difference values of the scores before treatment and 3 months after treatment (P>0.05). Six months after the treatment, the total scores of symptom scale in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (bothP<0.05), so were the differences in the difference values of the scores before treatment and 6 months after treatment (bothP<0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint injection of Chuankezhi plus acupoint sticking or acupoint sticking alone both can improve the symptoms of patients with bronchial asthma. Acupoint injection of Chuankezhi plus acupoint sticking has a higher total effective rate than single acupoint sticking therapy.展开更多

The occurrence rate of nausea and vomiting in the two groups were observed. Methods: A total of 35 football players were rand...Objective: To observe the effect of point sticking therapy on biochemical markers and Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) in athletes with exercise-induced fatigue. Methods: A total of 35 football players were randomly allocated into a blank group, a control group and an observation group. The athletes in the blank group received no treatment, those in the control group take Xi Yang Shen (Radix Panacis Quinquefolii) orally and those in the observation group were treated by point sticking therapy. The athletes' RPE, hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and blood glucose (BG) were recorded every day for analysis. Results: The RPE value in the blank group tends to increase, while that in the treatment and the blank groups tend to increase first but decrease afterwards, and the corresponding RPE value in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group. After treatment, athletes in the blank group showed a decrease in Hb, RBC and BG, but an increase in BUN in the blank group; while athletes in the observation and the control groups showed increases in Hb, RBC and BG, but a decrease in BUN. Conclusion: Point sticking can alleviate clinical symptoms induced by exercise-induced fatigue.展开更多

Methods: A total of 120 post-surgery pa...Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking of Chinese medicine at Shenque (CV 8) for preventing spleenstomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump. Methods: A total of 120 post-surgery patients using venous analgesia pump and also conforming to the inclusion criteria were randomized into 2 groups by the random number table. There were 58 patients in the control group who received conventional post-surgery nursing care, and there were 62 patients in the treatment group who received acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) on the basis of conventional nursing care. After treatment, the incidences of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and abdominal bloating were measured. Results: The total incidence of nausea, vomiting and abdominal bloating in the treatment group was 11.3%, versus 39.7% in the control group, and the difference of the incidence between the two groups showed a statistical significance (P〈0.05). In comparison of the severity of spleen-stomach dishormony which happened during 72 h after surgery, cases in the treatment group showed lower severity than those in the control group (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) can effectively prevent spleen-stomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump, which will alleviate sufferings of the patients.展开更多

文摘Objective:To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupoint application in the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods:A comprehensive search of domestic and international databases,the search time is limited to nearly ten years,collecting traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in stable phase of randomized controlled trials.Literature screening,information extraction and literature quality evaluation were carried out independently by two researchers,and Meta analysis was carried out by Revman software.Results:A total of 42 RCTs with a total of 4192 patients were included.The results of Meta analysis showed that:Compared with the routine treatment of western medicine,the addition of acupoint application therapy can significantly increase the effective rate[RR=1.23,95%CI(1.19,1.27),P<0.00001]and FEV1/FVC[MD=4.46,95%CI(3.17,5.76),P<0.00001].Significantly improved BODE index[MD=-0.63,95%CI(-0.87,-0.40),P<0.00001],SGRQ score[MD=-6.77,95%CI(-9.81,-3.72),P<0.00001],CAT score[MD=-3.33,95%CI(-3.87,-2.79),P<0.00001]and TCM syndrome integral[MD=-3.51,95%CI(-3.96,-3.06),P<0.00001].The differences is statistically significant and the safety profile is good.Conclusion:On the basis of routine treatment of COPD western medicine,acupoint application therapy can significantly improve the clinical symptoms of patients with less adverse reactions.However,due to the limitations of the research,high-quality research is still needed to provide further evidence.

文摘Background:Gastrointestinal dysfunction is one of the common complications of appendectomy,which seriously affects the postoperative recovery and clinical prognosis.Through traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application is suggested for managing postoperative gastrointestinal dysfunction,supporting evidence is weak.Here,the prospective randomized placebo-controlled study was designed to provide high-level evidence regarding whether traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application is effective on the gastrointestinal dysfunction after appendectomy.Methods:A total of 60 patients who underwent appendectomy in Dongfang Hospital Beijing University of Chinese Medicine(Beijing,China)from November 2016 to December 2017 were selected as study objects and randomly divided into control group(n=30)and observation group(n=30).Based on routine postoperative care,the acupoints Zusanli(ST36)and Yongquan(KI1)were selected.The control group was given acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine placebo and the observation group was given acupoint application of clinical empirical Chinese medicine called Wentongliqi prescription.The course of treatment was performed on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy,once a day and 4 hours each time.The primary outcome includes the time until the recovery time of bowel sounds(h),the first postoperative flatus(h)and first bowel movement time(h)on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy.The secondary outcome includes clinical symptom score,life ability score and adverse reactions were observed and recorded on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd days after appendectomy.Results:After treatment,the recovery time of intestinal sound in the observation group was earlier than that in the control group(P<0.05).However,there were no significant difference between the two groups in first anal exhaust time and first bowel movement time,clinical symptom scores and life ability scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application therapy has limited effect on the recovery of gastrointestinal dysfunction after appendectomy.Further study with large sample size is needed to confirm its therapeutic effects.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effect of warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy for cervical radiculopathy. Methods: A total of 120 cases were allocated into an observation group, a warm needling group and an acupoint sticking group according to the random number table, with 40 cases in each group. Cases in the observation group received warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy;cases in the warm needling group received the same warm needling moxibustion in the observation group;cases in the acupoint sticking group received the same acupoint sticking therapy in the observation group. The scores of Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) and visual analog scale (VAS) were recorded before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate was 95.0% in the observation group, versus 77.5% in the warm needling group and 75.0% in the acupoint sticking group (both P<0.05). Inter-group differences in JOA and VAS between the observation group and the other two groups were statistically significant (all P<0.05). Conclusion: Warm needling moxibustion plus acupoint sticking therapy is effective in treating cervical radiculopathy, and it can significantly alleviate pain and enhance clinical efficacy, and thus is worth clinical popularization.

文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effects of acupoint sticking therapy for umbar intervertebral disc herniation. Methods: Seventy patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation were randomly divided into two groups by the visit order, 35 cases in each group. The treatment group was treated with acupoint sticking therapy and the control group was treated with tuina. After treatment, the clinical effects, pain integral and Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) scores were compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate, pain integral and improvement of JOA scores were better in the treatment group than in the control group (P〈O.O5). Conclusion: Acupoint sticking therapy is affirmative in the therapeutic effects and better than tuina treatment for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation.

文摘Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Bufei Yishen Granule (补肺益肾颗粒, BFYSG) combined with Shufei Tie (舒肺贴) acupoint sticking therapy on quality of life of patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods: A multi-center, double-blinded, double-dummy and randomized controlled method was adopted in this trial. A total of 244 patients were randomly assigned to a trial group and a control group according to the random number, each with 122 patients; treatment allocation occurred when the participants met the inclusion criteria and signed the informed consent form. In the trial group, patients were treated with BFYSG combined with "Shufei Tie" acupoint sticking therapy and sustained-release theophylline dummy, and in the control group patients were treated with oral sustained-release theophylline and BFYSG dummy combined with "Shufei Tie" acupoint sticking therapy dummy. The therapeutic course for two groups was 4 months and the follow-up was 6 months. The frequency and duration of acute exacerbation calculated by adding up each frequency and duration of acute exacerbation in treatment and follow-up time respectively, the quality of life measured by the World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL)-BREF scale and adult COPD quality of life (COPD-QOL) scale were observed. Results: Among the 244 enrolled patients, 234 were screened for full analysis set (FAS); 221 were screened for per-protocol analysis set (PPS). After 4-month treatment and 6-month follow-up there were differences between the trial group and the control group in frequency of acute exacerbation (FAS: P=0.013; PPS: P=0.046); duration of acute exacerbation (FAS: P=0.005; PPS: P=0.006); scores of physiological, psychological and environment aspects of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire (FAS: P=0.002, P=0.006, P=0.000; PPS: P=0.00, P=0.001, P=0.000); scores of daily living ability, social activity, depression symptoms aspects of the COPD-QOL questionnaire (FAS: P=0.000, P=0.000, P=0.006; PPS: P=0.002, P=0.001, P=0.001). Conclusion: BFYSG combinedwith acupoint sticking therapy could improve the quality of life of patients with stable COPD.
文摘Objective:To observe the effect of acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy for the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods:A total of 120 patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery were included,and all patients were under trachea intubation and general anesthesia.The patients were randomized into an observation group and a control group,with 60 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received conventional anesthesia resuscitation,while patients in the observation group received acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy on the basis of conventional anesthesia resuscitation.Changes in the heart rate (HR),systolic blood pressure (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were observed at three time points including the end of the surgery (TO),the removal of the tracheal tube (T1) and 10 min after the removal of the tracheal tube (T2).The awakening and tube removal time,choking cough and restlessness,and adverse reactions (dizziness,nausea and vomiting) in 24 h post-surgery period were compared.Results:At T1 and T2,the comparisons of HR,SBP and DBP between the two groups showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Intra-group comparisons showed that the HR,SBP and DBP of the control group at T1 and T2 were significant different from those at TO (all P<0.05).There were significant differences in the awakening time and tube removal time between the two groups (both P<0.05).The incidences of choking cough and restlessness were 8.3% and 3.3% respectively in the observation group,versus 53.3% and 30.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (both P<0.05).The incidences of dizziness,nausea and vomiting in 24 h post-surgery period were 3.3%,5.0% and 0.0% respectively in the observation group,versus 43.3%,33.3% and 25.0% in the control group,and the between-group comparisons showed statistical significance (all P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint massage plus acupoint sticking therapy can effectively regulate the stress reaction during postoperative anesthesia recovery period in patients undergoing nasal endoscopic surgery,and maintain a stable internal environment.

文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effects of acupoint sticking therapy in the three ten-day periods in summer and three nine-day periods in winter. Methods: Herbal medicines were prepared into crude herbal powder and made into paste with ginger juice, and were respectively applied to the corresponding acupoints in the three ten-day periods in summer and three nine-day periods in winter. Results: The results showed 45 cases were cured, 50 cases were improved, and 5 cases failed out of 100 cases, with the total effective rate of 95%. Conclusion: The acupoint sticking therapy for the treatment and prevention of allergic rhinitis is simple in method, remarkable in effects, acceptable to the patients, and is worthy of clinical popularization.

文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effect of pinching spine plus acupolnt StlCKlng merapy for infantile cerebral palsy (ICP) with spleen deficiency pattern. Methods: Seventy children of ICP with spleen deficiency pattern were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group. Those in the treatment group were given the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy plus pinching spine and acupoint sticking therapy. Those in the control group were just given the comprehensive rehabilitation therapy. The treatment was given once every day, 20-day as one course, and totally for three courses. Results: The total effective rate of the clinical symptoms was 77.1% in the treatment group and 39.9% in the control groups. The total effective rate of rehabilitation effects was 74.3% in the treatment group and 48.6% in the control group. The effective rate was obviously better in the treatment group than that in the control group, with statistical differences (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Pinching spine plus acupoint sticking therapy is remarkable in the therapeutic effects for ICP with spleen deficiency pattern, and needs to be popularized clinically.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling plus acupoint sticking therapy for primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: A total of 60 eligible cases were randomly allocated into a treatment group (n=30) and a control group (n=30) according to their sequence of consultation. Patients in the treatment group were treated with warm needling combined with acupoint sticking therapy, whereas patients in the control group were treated with oral Ibuprofen (Fenbid) capsules. After two menstrual cycles, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score, COX menstrual symptom scale (CMSS) and clinical efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the VAS and CMSS scores were significantly reduced in both groups, indicating that both treatment protocols can remarkably alleviate pain. There was a between-group statistical difference in comparing the CMSS score (P〈0.05), but no between-group statistical difference in the VAS score (P〉0.05). However, the follow-up visit showed between-group statistical differences in comparing VOA and CMSS scores (both P〈0.01). The clinical effect, relapse rate and long-term efficacy in the treatment group were better than those in the control group. Conclusion: Warm needling plus acupoint sticking therapy is a simple but effective therapy for primary dysmenorrhea. In addition, it causes fewer cases with relapse.
文摘Objective To observe the effects of acupoint sticking therapy of different dosages and durations on the subjective and objective sleep indicators in insomnia patients.Methods Ninety-six patients with insomnia due to liver-Qi stagnation and spleen deficiency were divided into a high-dosage 7 d group(25 cases),a high-dosage 14 d group(22 cases),a low-dosage 7 d group(21 cases),and a low-dosage 14 d group(28 cases)using the random numbers generated in a stratified and stage-by-stage manner in combination with the visiting sequence.The four groups all received the same acupuncture treatment,but acupoint sticking therapy varied in dosage and duration.Before and after treatment,the actigraphic readings(total time in bed,total sleep time,sleep efficiency,number of wake bouts,length of wakes after asleep,and sleep latency),Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score,and symptoms score of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)were observed.A correlation analysis was conducted among the subjective and objective indicators.Results The PSQI score was positively correlated with the total time in bed and total sleep time(P<0.05).After treatment,the sleep latency,PSQI scores,and TCM symptoms scores changed significantly in the four groups(P<0.05).The total sleep time and sleep efficiency gained improvements after treatment in the high-dosage 14 d and low-dosage 14 d groups(P<0.05).The high-dosage acupoint sticking groups had longer total sleep time compared with the low-dosage groups of the same treatment duration(P<0.05).After treatment,the length of wakes after asleep,PSQI scores,and TCM symptoms scores were better in the 14 d groups than in the 7 d groups of the same acupoint sticking dosage(P<0.05).Conclusion Given the same acupuncture treatment,acupoint sticking therapy of different treatment durations produces different effects on the length of wakes after asleep,PSQI score,and TCM symptoms score in insomnia patients,and the 14-day acupoint sticking treatment is superior to the 7-day treatment.
文摘Objective: To observe the therapeutical effect of using the paste of Wu Zhu Yu (Fructus Evodia) for acupoint sticking combined with tonifying kidney, to treat the recurrent aphthous ulcer. Methods: Thirty-six cases ofreccurent aphthous ulcer due to kidney dificiency were treated with Wu Zhu Yu (Fructus Evodia) paste applying to Yongquan (KI 1), and orally taking Liu Wei Di Huang Pill. Ten treatments made up one course, 2-3 d of interval between 2 courses. Then 1-year follow-up was made. Results: Twenty cases were cured, 12 cases improved, 4 cases failed. Conclusion: The method of using Wu Zhu Yu (Fructus Evodia) paste applying to acupoint Yongquan (KI 1), integrated with the manipulation of strengthening kidney, can effectively shorten the duration of disease, improve the symptoms, and control recurrency, which is good for this disease.
文摘Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus electroacupuncture(EA)for treating peripheral facial paralysis and its influence on patients'facial nerve functions,facial disability index and clinical symptoms and signs.Methods:A total of 96 peripheral facial paralysis patients were allocated into an observation group,a medicine group and an EA group by simple randomization,with 32 cases in each group.Patients in the medicine group were treated with oral mecobalamine and prednisone acetate;patients in the EA group were treated with EA on the basis of the medicine treatment;while patients in the observation group were treated with acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus EA.After 4-week treatment,the clinical efficacy,the adverse events,and the scores of House-Brackmann(H-B)facial nerve function grading scale,visual analog scale(VAS),clinical symptoms and signs,and facial disability index(FDI)were compared.Results:After 4-week treatment,the total effective rate was 96.9%in the observation group,higher than 68.7%in the medicine group and 75.0%in the EA group(both P<0.05).After 4-week treatment,the scores of H-B grading scale,VAS and clinical symptoms and signs in the three groups dropped significantly compared with those before treatment,and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the medicine group and EA group(all P<0.05).After 4-week treatment,the facial disability index-physical function(FDIP)in the FDI in the three groups increased significantly,with a higher value in the observation group compared with that in the medicine group and EA group(both P<0.05).The facial disability index-social function(FDIS)in the FDI dropped significantly,with a lower score in the observation group compared with that in the medicine group and EA group(both P<0.05).However,the comparisons of the items above between the medicine group and the EA group showed no statistical significance(all P>0.05).The between-group comparison of the adverse event across the three groups showed no statistical significance(P>0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint sticking therapy with Mian Tan Gao(facial paralysis paste)plus EA can decrease H-B grade,reduce pain severity and improve clinical symptoms and signs as well as the facial disability condition in peripheral facial paralysis patients.This method produced more significant efficacy compared with oral medicine and medicine plus EA.
文摘Summary: Daiwenjiu Gao plasters were stuck onto the following two groups of acupoints, group 1 including acupoints Guanyuan (CV 4), Shenshu (BL 23) and Zusanli (ST 36) and group2 including acupoints Zhongji (CV 3), Pangguangshu (BL 28) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6), to treat 100 cases of infantile enuresis, the results showed that 92 cases were cured, 6 cases got remarkable effect, 2 cases got effect, with total effective rate being 100%.
文摘Objective: To observe the influence of acupoint application therapy on serum eosinophilic granulocyte cationic protein (ECP), 6 keto prostaglandin F 1 (6-keto-PGF 1) and thromboxane B2 (TXB2). Methods: 300 cases of asthma out-patients in a remission period were divided into a treatment group (150 cases) and a control group (150 cases). The control group was given the basic treatment, and the treatment group was given external application on the acupoints in July and December every year, as well as the basic treatment of the control group, with continuous treatment for 2 years as one course. ECP, 6-keto-PGF 1, and TXB2 were checked every year in the patients of the two groups, and an Asthma Control Test Table was filled in for comparative analysis. Results: After the external application on the acupoints, the frequency of seizures, dyspnea and frequency of medication administration of the patients had been more reduced than those in the control group, indicating that the levels of ECP in inflammation of air passage and of 6-eto-GF 1 and TXB2 were obviously improved (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The herbal application on the acupoints is effective and positively influential to the improvement of the symptoms in the asthma patients and to ECP, 6-keto-PGF 1, and TXB2 remarkably.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupoint injection of Chuankezhi plus acupoint sticking treatment for bronchial asthma, and provide clinical evidence for the synergy of the two therapies, and explore their synergistic mechanism. Methods: A total of 70 patients were randomized into an acupoint injection plus sticking group and an acupiont sticking group by the random number table, with 35 cases in each group. The treatment took place in July and August. The acupoint injection plus sticking group was treated with acupoint injection and acupiont sticking, while the acupiont sticking group was treated only with acupiont sticking therapy. The treatment course was 4 weeks. After the treatment, the scores of symptom scale in the two groups before treatment, 3 months and 6 months after the treatment were observed. Results: During the treatment, there were 5 dropouts in the acupoint injection plus sticking group with 30 cases remained, and 4 dropouts in the acupiont sticking group with 31 cases remained. Before the treatment, there was no significant difference in the total scores of symptom scale between the two groups. Three months after the treatment, the total scores of symptom scale of both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (bothP<0.05). In the inter-group comparison, there was no significant difference in the difference values of the scores before treatment and 3 months after treatment (P>0.05). Six months after the treatment, the total scores of symptom scale in both groups were lower than those before treatment, and the intra-group differences were statistically significant (bothP<0.05), so were the differences in the difference values of the scores before treatment and 6 months after treatment (bothP<0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint injection of Chuankezhi plus acupoint sticking or acupoint sticking alone both can improve the symptoms of patients with bronchial asthma. Acupoint injection of Chuankezhi plus acupoint sticking has a higher total effective rate than single acupoint sticking therapy.

文摘Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture plus acupoint sticking for bronchial asthma in remissive state.Methods:A total of 210 cases with asthma at remissive state were randomly allocated into an acupuncture group of 100 cases and a comprehensive therapy group of 110 cases.Cases in the acupuncture group were treated with acupuncture alone,and cases in the comprehensive therapy group were treated with acupuncture plus acupoint sticking therapy.Then the therapeutic efficacies were compared using observation indexes including wheezing,cough and coughing up phlegm,peak expiratory flow(PEF)and forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1).In addition,the overall therapeutic efficacies were also analyzed on different traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)patterns.Results:The comprehensive therapy obtained better effects than acupuncture alone in alleviating cough and coughing up phlegm and improving PEF and FEV1;the overall efficacies on asthma due to lung-qi deficiency and spleen-qi deficiency were better than those on asthma due to kidney-qi deficiency.Conclusion:Acupuncture plus acupoint sticking is a convenient and effective therapy for asthma at remissive state and therefore worthy of being popularized.

文摘Objective: To observe the treatment effect of acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) with ginger-preparedBan Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae) on nausea and vomiting induced by Amifostine for myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). Methods: Totally 124 eligible subjects intervened by Amifostine were randomized into 2 groups by the visiting order,an observation group and a control group,62 in each group. The control group was intervened by conventional treatment, while the observation group was by acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) with ginger-preparedBan Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae) in addition to the same conventional treatment. The occurrence rate of nausea and vomiting in the two groups were observed. Results: After intervention, the occurrence rate of nausea and vomiting in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P&lt;0.01). Conclusion: Acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) with ginger-prepared Ban Xia (Rhizoma Pinelliae)can produce a content effect on nausea and vomiting induced by Amifostine for MDS.

文摘Objective: To observe the effect of point sticking therapy on biochemical markers and Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE) in athletes with exercise-induced fatigue. Methods: A total of 35 football players were randomly allocated into a blank group, a control group and an observation group. The athletes in the blank group received no treatment, those in the control group take Xi Yang Shen (Radix Panacis Quinquefolii) orally and those in the observation group were treated by point sticking therapy. The athletes' RPE, hemoglobin (Hb), red blood cell count (RBC), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and blood glucose (BG) were recorded every day for analysis. Results: The RPE value in the blank group tends to increase, while that in the treatment and the blank groups tend to increase first but decrease afterwards, and the corresponding RPE value in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group. After treatment, athletes in the blank group showed a decrease in Hb, RBC and BG, but an increase in BUN in the blank group; while athletes in the observation and the control groups showed increases in Hb, RBC and BG, but a decrease in BUN. Conclusion: Point sticking can alleviate clinical symptoms induced by exercise-induced fatigue.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking of Chinese medicine at Shenque (CV 8) for preventing spleenstomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump. Methods: A total of 120 post-surgery patients using venous analgesia pump and also conforming to the inclusion criteria were randomized into 2 groups by the random number table. There were 58 patients in the control group who received conventional post-surgery nursing care, and there were 62 patients in the treatment group who received acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) on the basis of conventional nursing care. After treatment, the incidences of postoperative nausea and vomiting, and abdominal bloating were measured. Results: The total incidence of nausea, vomiting and abdominal bloating in the treatment group was 11.3%, versus 39.7% in the control group, and the difference of the incidence between the two groups showed a statistical significance (P〈0.05). In comparison of the severity of spleen-stomach dishormony which happened during 72 h after surgery, cases in the treatment group showed lower severity than those in the control group (P〈0.05). Conclusion: Acupoint sticking at Shenque (CV 8) can effectively prevent spleen-stomach disharmony caused by venous analgesia pump, which will alleviate sufferings of the patients.
