In the present paper, 60 cases of gouty arthritis patients were randomly divided into acupuncture group (n=30) and acupoint injection group (n=30). In these two groups, the tender point was used as the main acupoint, combined with Taichong (LR 3), Yinbai (SP 1), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Juegu (GB 39), Xuehai (SP 10), etc. 10% Chishao (Radix Paeoniae Rubra) Injection and dexamethasone were used for acupoint injection. Results indicated that in acupoint injection and acupuncture groups, 15 (50.0%) and 9 (30.0%) cases had marked improvement, 12 (40.0%) and 10 (33.3%) were effective, and 3 (10.0%) and 11(36.7%) failed in treatment, with the total effective rats being 90.0% and 63.3% respectively. Statistical analysis shows that acupoint injection is significantly superior to simple acupuncture in the therapeutic effect (P<0.05). 展开更多

In the present paper, the therapeutic effect of combined therapy of acupoint injection and Chinese medicinal herbs was observed in 59 cases of primary palpebral retraction patients. These 59 patients were divided into treatment group (n=38, treated with acupoint injection and Chinese medicinal herbs) and control group (n=21, treated with Chinese medicinal herbs alone). After 3 courses of treatment, of the 38 cases in treatment group, 25 (65.8%) were cured, 8 (21.1%) had marked improvement and 5 (13.2%) had improvement; of the 21 cases in control group, 8 (38.1%) were cured, 9 (42.9%) had marked improvement, 2 (9.5%) had improvement and 2 (9.5%) were ineffective. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the two groups in the therapeutic effect. The cure rate of experimental group was apparently higher than that of the control group, i.e. the therapeutic effect of the combined therapy of acupoint injection and Chinese medicinal herbs was superior to that of Chinese medicinal herbs alone. 展开更多

Objective:To assess the effectiveness and safety of acupoint injection for the treatment of asthma. Methods:Six electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of acupoint injection for asthma. Two authors extracted data and assessed methodological quality independently using the Cochrane Collaboration Risk of Bias tool.Data were evaluated using RevMan v5.2.Results:Eighteen RCTs involving 1913 participants with asthma were identified.Overall methodological quality of the RCTs was classified as unclear risk of bias.Western medicine(12 RCTs)was injected most frequently into acupoints, followed by Chinese herbal medicine(four RCTs),vitamins(one RCT),and Chinese herbal medicine combined with Western medicine(one RCT).Four RCTs used only one acupoint[ST36(two RCTs),BL13,CV22],whereas the other RCTs selected multiple acupoints(among which BL13 was used most frequently). One RCT reported mortality,no RCT reported quality of life,15 RCTs reported the symptom improvement rate, one RCT reported asthma control test(ACT)data, one RCT reported the duration of asthma, three RCTs reported the mean time that asthma was controlled(MTAC),and 13 RCTs reported lung-function tests(LFTs).Some RCTs showed acupoint injection may improve the attack time of asthma,MTAC,and LFTs.Five RCTs reported the outcome of adverse events and showed no significant differences between the acupoint injection group and control group. Conclusions:The findings suggest that acupoint injection may be effective for improving ACT data, duration of asthma,MTAC and LFTs.However, the evidence is insufficient owing to the poor methodological quality of the RCTs. 展开更多

In the present study, the effect of acupoint injection analgesia for artificial abortion was observed. 40 patients were divided at random into 2 groups: Acupoint injection group(n=20) and control group (n=20). In the former group, bilateral Zusanli (ST 36) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) were selected. 1-1.5 ml diluted analgesic solution was injected into each acupoint respectively about 5-10 minutes before operation. The blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) of the patients were all monitored before and during operation. Results showed that the effective rates of analgesia for uterus aspiration and dilation of the uterine cervix were 90 percent and 85 percent respectively. Patients’ BP and HR during operation were all stable as compared with those before operation (P>0.05). It indicates that this method has a better effect in relieving abdominalgia and preventing nausea and vomiting during artificial abortion. It can be developed and used in clinic. 展开更多

In the present paper, the authors report their results of treatment of 5 cases of steriod resistant asthma with acupoint-injection, body acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping. Bilateral Zusanli (ST 36) are used for acupoint injection of mixture solution of placenta tissue injectio (2 mL), Danggui (Radix Angelicae Sinesis) injectio (2 mL) and Huangqi (Radix Astragli seu Hedysari) injectio (4 mL), with 4 mL for each acupoint. Acupoints used for puncturing are bilateral Yuji (LU 10), Dingchuan (EX-B 1), Feishu (BL 13), Fengmen (BL 12), Gaohuangshu (BL 43), Taiyuan (LU 9), Fenglong (ST 40), Shenshu (BL 23), Zusanli (ST 36), etc.. Dazhui (GV 14), Tanzhong (CV 17), and Zhongwan (CV 12) are moxibustioned after insertion of acupuncture needles and achieving needling sensations. Cupping is applied to bilateral Dingchuan (EX-B 1) after removing acupuncture needles with a little blood out. Following 3 days’ treatment, these 5 asthma patients who have no apparent response to conventional medication treatment are relieved strikingly in the attack frequency, till the 7th day of the treatment, they have no any asthmatic onset again. One month’s follow-up shows no recurrence. Results indicate that acupuncture with moxibustion and cupping is fairly effective in relieving steriod resistant asthma patients who have no effect in responding to glucocorticoid treatment. 展开更多

Objective:To explore the mechanism of acupoint injection of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BM-MSCs) in improving blood flow in the rat with hind limb ischemia.Methods:Twenty-four SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:normal control group(n=6),model group(n=6),BM-MSCs acupoint injection group(AI group,n=6) and BM-MSC intramuscular injection group(MI group,n=6).Sanyinjiao(SP 6),Housanli(ST 36),Zhaohai(KI 6),Huantiao(GB 30) and Yanglingquan(GB 34) were selected for the AI group, and five non-acupoints were selected on gastrocnemius and adductor of ischemic hind limbs in the MI group.BM-MSCs were injected to the latter two groups. The rat hind limb ischemia model was established with the method of blocking the femoral artery and its branches.Three weeks after injection of BM-MSCs,in each group, hindlimb adductor and gastrocnemius were taken from the ischemic side.Expressions of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) and transfer growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) in the skeletal muscle were determined with immunohistochemical method, and the small arteries in the skeletal muscle were labeled with α-SMA immunohistochemical staining method, the density of small arteries(number of arterioles /number of muscle fibers) and the number of the blood vessel with VEGF positive expression were calculated. The serum levels of VEGF and nitric oxide(NO) were detected. Results:Compared with the model group, the expression of VEGF and TGF-β1,and the density of small arteries and the number of VEGF-positive blood vessels in the AI group and the MI group significantly increased(both P<0.01).Compared with the MI group, the density of small arteries and the number of VEGF-positive blood vessels in the AI group significantly increased(both P<0.01);Compared with the model group and the normal control group, the serum expression quantity of NO and VEGF in the AI group and the MI group were significantly increased(P<0.01).Conclusions:Acuppoint injection of BM-MSCs secrets more VEGF,TGF-β1 and NO to increase angiogenesis and arteriogenesis,so as to improve blood flow of the rats of hind limb ischemic. 展开更多

Objective:To explore if acupoint injection can improve analgesic effects or delivery outcomes in parturients who received combined spinal-epidural analgesia(CSEA)and patient-controlled epidural analgesia(PCEA)for labor analgesia. Methods:A total of 307 participants were prospectively collected from July 2017 to December 2019.The participants were randomized into the combined acupoint injection with CSEA plus PCEA group(AICP group,n=168)and CSEA plus PCEA group(CP group,n=139)for labor analgesia using a random number table. Both groups received CSEA plus PCEA at cervical dilation 3 cm during labor process, and parturients of the AICP group were implemented acupoint injection for which bilateral acupoint of Zusanli(ST 36)and Sanyinjiao(SP 6)were selected in addition. The primary outcome was Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)score, and the secondary outcomes were obstetric outcomes and requirement of anesthetics doses.Safety evaluations were performed after intervention. Results:The VAS scores were significantly lower in the AICP group than in the CP group at 10,30,60,and 120 min after labor analgesia(all P<0.05).The latent phase of the AICP group was shorter than that of the CP group(P<0.05).There were less additional anesthetics consumption, lower incidences of uterine atony, fever, pruritus and urinary retention in the AICP group than those in the CP group(all P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint injection combined CSEA plus PCEA for labor analgesia can decrease the anesthetic consumption, improve analgesic quality, and reduce adverse reactions in the parturients.(Registration No.ChiMCTR-2000003120) 展开更多

Objective To observe the efficacy of acupuncture combined with acupoint injection for post-cold cough. Methods Twenty-five cases of post-cold cough, who visited the department of acupuncture-moxibustion of our hospital from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2016, were reviewed, and all the patients were treated by acupuncture combined with acupoint injection. Acupoint selection for acupuncture: bilateral Dìngchuǎn(定喘 EX-B 1), Fēngmén(风门 BL 12), Lièquē(列缺 LU 7), Fèishū(肺俞 BL 13) and Shènshū(肾俞 BL 23); the acupuncture was conducted once a day, with 1 day of interval after 6 days;6 times was considered as 1 course, and 2 consecutive courses were needed. Acupoint injection with medicinal vitamin D2 and calcium levulinate injection was conducted after acupuncture. Acupoint selection for injection: bilateral EX-B 1 and BL 13, and the treatment was conducted once every other day. Results Among the 25 patients with post-cold cough, 8 patients were cured, 16 cases were effective, 1 case was ineffective, and the total effective rate was 96.0%. Conclusion The efficacy of acupuncture combined with acupoint injection in treatment of post-cold cough is good. 展开更多
