The TS-kernel is the product of linear combination of input and a cluster of output corresponding to a cluster of TS-type fuzzy rules. The output of TS-fuzzy SVR is a linear weighted sum of the TSkernels. The dynamical model of the quad-rotor aircraft is derived. A new control scheme combined with TSfuzzy SVR inverse model control and PID control is presented so that the TS-fuzzy SVR inverse model control enhances capabilities of disturbance rejection and the robustness while the PID control enhances fast responsiveness and reliability of the system. Simulation results show the capabilities of the developed control for the attitude system of quad-rotor aircraft.展开更多

Automatic control is crucial for the efficiency and reliability of wind turbines. On the basis of simplified and proper model of variable speed variable pitch wind turbines, the effective wind speed is estimated using extended Kaiman filter. Intelligent control schemes proposed in the paper include two loops which operate in synchronism with each other. At below-rated wind speed, the inner loop adopts adaptive fuzzy control based on variable universe for generator torque regulation to realize maximum wind energy capture. At above-rated wind speed, a controller based on least square support vector machine is proposed to adjust pitch angle and keep rated output power. Then, ...This paper presents a new sensorless vector controlled induction motor drive robust against rotor resistance variation. Indeed, the speed and rotor resistance are estimated using extended Kalman filter (EKF). Then, we introduce a new fuzzy logic speed controller based on learning by minimizing cost function. This strategy is based on a topology control self-organized and an algorithm for modifying the knowledge base of fuzzy corrector. The learning mechanism addresses the con- sequences of corrector rules, which are modified according to the comparison between the current speed of machine and an output signal or a desired trajectory. Thus, fuzzy associative memory is constructed to meet the criteria imposed in problems either control or pursuit. The consequent algorithm updating consists of a regulator mechanism allowing a fast and robust learning without unnecessarily compromising the control signal and steady- state performance. The performance of this new strategy is satisfactory, even in the presence of noise or when there are variations in the parameters of induction motor drive.展开更多

In the pr...This paper presents a novel method of power quality enrichment in a grid-connected photovoltaic(PV) system using a distribution static compensator(DSTATCOM). The paper consists of two-step control processes. In the primary step, a fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is employed in the DC-DC converter to extract the peak power point from the PV panel, where the FLC produces a switching signal for the DC-DC converter.In the secondary step, a unit vector template(UVT)/adaptive linear neuron(ADALINE)-based least mean square(LMS) controller is adopted in the DC-AC converter, i. e., voltage source converter(VSC). The input to this VSC is the boosted DC voltage, which originates from the PV panel as a result of DC-DC conversion. The VSC shunted with the power grid is known as a DSTATCOM, which can maintain the power quality in the distribution system. The UVT controller generates reference source currents from the grid voltages and DC-link voltages.The ADALINE-based LMS controller calculates the online weight according to the previous weights by the sensed load current. The UVT/ADALINE-based LMS controller of a DSTATCOM performs several tasks such as maintaining the sinusoidal source current, achieving a unity power factor, and performing reactive power compensation. The reference current extracted from the UVT/ADALINE-based LMS controller is fed to the hysteresis current controller to obtain the desired switching signal for the VSC. A 100 k W solar PV system integrated into a three-phase four-wire distribution system through a four-leg VSC is designed in MATLAB/Simulink. The performances of the FLC and UVT/ADALINE-based LMS controllers are demonstrated under various irradiances as well as constant temperature and nonlinear loading conditions.展开更多

In this method, the space (RFOC) method has been used to achieve a good performance and vector of the rotor flux comes handy by the rotor resistance value. The rotor resistance is one of the important parameters which varies according to motor speed and room temperature alteration. In this paper, a new on-line estimation method is utilized to obtain the rotor resistance by using Walsh functions domain. The Walsh functions are one of the most applicable functions in piecewise constant basis functions (PCBF) to solve dynamic equations. On the other hand, an integral operational matrix is used to simplify the process and speed of the computation algorithm. The simulations results show that the proposed method is capable of solving the dynamic equations in an electrical machine on a time interval which robustly estimates the rotor resistance in contrast with injection noises.展开更多
