The intelligent costestimation process is divided into three steps in the model. In the first step, a cost-drive-factorneeds to be selected, which is significant for cost estimation. In the second step, militaryaircraft training samples within costs and cost-drive-factor set are obtained by the LS-SVM. Thenthe model can be used for new type aircraft cost estimation. Chinese military aircraft costs areestimated in the paper. The results show that the estimated costs by the new model are closer to thetrue costs than that of the traditionally used methods.展开更多

Vaccination and immune se...A particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm improved by immunity algorithm (IA) was presented. Memory and self-regulation mechanisms of IA were used to avoid PSO plunging into local optima. Vaccination and immune selection mechanisms were used to prevent the undulate phenomenon during the evolutionary process. The algorithm was introduced through an application in the direct maintenance cost (DMC) estimation of aircraft components. Experiments results show that the algorithm can compute simply and run quickly. It resolves the combinatorial optimization problem of component DMC estimation with simple and available parameters. And it has higher accuracy than individual methods, such as PLS, BP and v-SVM, and also has better performance than other combined methods, such as basic PSO and BP neural network.展开更多

The algorithm first gives the RCS ch...To utilizing the characteristic of radar cross section (RCS) of the low detectable aircraft, a special path planning algorithm to eluding radars by the variable RCS is presented. The algorithm first gives the RCS changing model of low detectable aircraft, then establishes a threat model of a ground-based air defense system according to the relations between RCS and the radar range coverage. By the new cost functions of the flight path, which consider both factors of the survival probability and the distance of total route, this path planning method is simulated based on the Dijkstra algorithm, and the planned route meets the flight capacity constraints. Simulation results show that using the effective path planning algorithm, the low detectable aircraft can give full play to its own advantage of stealth to achieve the purpose of silent penetration.展开更多

It ...With the cost estimation of military aircraft as the research object, this paper aims to study the contradiction between the choice of explanatory variables in index modeling and the maintaining of model validity. It analyzes and establishes a cost estimation modeling concept based on an Effectiveness Index and studies the way to construct Effectiveness Indexes for the sake of cost estimation modeling. Based on a case study, the paper establishes and analyzes the Effectiveness Index-based cost estimation models and DAPCA (Development And Procurement Costs of Aircraft) models developed by the RAND Corparation . The comparison of these models shows that the Effective- ness Index-based cost parameter models not only comprehensively consider the obvious driving parameter indexes of the cost, but reduces the variables of regressive analysis, hence giving the model a higher reliability.展开更多

Considering that it takes cost to enhance aircraft combat survivability, a synthetic tradeoff model between aircraft combat survivability and life cycle cost is built.
