Experimental results present that the average bonding strength is around 53 MPa and the average hardness reaches 325 HV. The Vickers microhardness of NiAl and Ni3Al intermetaUic compounds is larger than that of the substrate, which is beneficial for improving the wear property. Wear mechanism exhibits features of adhesive wear. Friction and wear test results indicate that the wet friction coefficient is higher than the coefficient of dry friction after 200 cycles, and variations of the wet friction coefficient are relatively smaller.展开更多

In an attempt to tackle this problem, Ti-48Al (at. pct) and Ti-48Al-12Cr (at. pct) protective coatings were plated on the substrate of alloy Ti-60 by arc ion plating (ALP) method. Isothermal and cyclic oxidation tests were performed in static air at elevated temperatures. Phase composition, morphology of the coatings and distribution of elements were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The results showed that the Ti-48Al coating exhibited good isothermal oxidation resistance during exposure at 800℃, but poorer resistance against oxidation at 900℃. By contrast Ti-48Al-12Cr coating demonstrated excellent isothermal oxidation resistance at both temperatures. Cyclic oxidation tests performed at 800℃ indicated that resistance and no spallation of coatings was observed. But both coatings demonstrated good cyclic oxidation at 900℃ only Ti-48Al-12Cr coating demonstrated excellent cyclic oxidation resistance.展开更多

Al2O3 coatings were sprayed by air plasma spray(APS) on the 45^# steel substrate, and then were irradiated by CO2 CW laser from 795 W/cm^2 to 31 830 W/cm^2. As the output power of the laser is increasing, its porosity is increasing and cracks are appearing and spreading quickly, And also the phase will transform from γ-Al2O3 to a-Al2O3 in the damaged areas. When the energy density is 17 507 W/cm^2, the coatings are destroyed completely. The thermal infection field on substrate is rather small. The laser energy is depleted by the phase transformation and cracks in Al2O3 coatings during the laser thermal shock.展开更多

The effect of current and Ti3Si(AI)C2 concentration in the solution on the composition, grain size, preferred orientation and surface morphology of the electrodeposited coatings were investigated. 文摘Al coated NdFeB magnets were prepared by plasma-assisted-physical-vapor-deposition(PA-PVD)method fo r enhancing the corro sion resistance.Mo rphologies and structures were characterized by an Xray diffractometer and a scanning electron microscope.Corrosion behaviors of the samples with different bias voltages were studied by electrochemical methods and neutral salt spray test, respectively. The bias voltage during the deposition process was optimized according to the coating structures and corrosion resistances. The density and flatness of Al coating increase with increasing the bias voltage, and at the same time the thickness decreases. The coating density and thickness turn to be stable when bias voltage is 1800 V.Also, the corrosion behaviors of PA-PVD Al coatings in different media, such as NaOH,HNO_(3) and NaCl solutions, were studied. The self-corrosion potentials(E_(corr)) of PA-PVD Al coatings almost keep constant in NaOH and HNO_(3) solutions with diffe rent concentrations. However, the self-corrosion current densities(J_(corr)) decrease with the increasing concentrations.E_(corr) shifts to negative potential and J_(corr)decreases gradually when increasing the concentration of NaCl solution. The corrosion mechanisms of Al coatings are discussed based on the corrosion behaviors in different media.

文摘Pure nickel and Ni/Ti3Si(AI)C2 composite coatings were prepared by electrodeposition method from an additive-free nickel Watt's bath and were characterized by X-ray diffraction, laser confocal microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The effect of current and Ti3Si(AI)C2 concentration in the solution on the composition, grain size, preferred orientation and surface morphology of the electrodeposited coatings were investigated. (200)-oriented Ni coatings could be deposited at high current (62.5 mA), while (220)-oriented Ni coatings could be obtained at low current (25 mA). However, the presence of Ti3Si(Al)C2 particles disturbed the surface texture of Ni crystallites in the composite coatings. Based on the simulated morphology and the observed microstructure, the mechanisms for the change of preferred orientation and crystallite shapes in the presence of Ti3Si(Al)C2 particles were discussed. Moreover, microhardness and friction properties of pure nickel and Ni/Ti3Si(Al)C2 composite coatings were also compared.

文摘When spacecraft operate in space, most organic materials will release small molecular hydrocarbons and large molecular organic gases due to gas evolution effect under high vacuum conditions. These gases can deposit on the surface of spacecraft, adversely affecting its performance.Adsorption becomes the first choice for removing such organic pollutants in the space environment.Zeolite material has a stable and dense porous structure, and has been widely used in the field of pollution adsorption. In this work,Al2O3 was deposited on the surfaces of 5A zeolite for the first time by atomic layer deposition(ALD)technology. As a result, the adsorption performance of Al2O3 coated 5A zeolite(zeolite@Al2O3)was significantly modified. The corresponding adsorption process was clarified via adsorption kinetics study.

文摘A tritium permeation barrier is required in fusion blankets for the reduction of fuel loss and radiological hazard. In this study,an Al2O3/Y2O3 composite coating was prepared on 316 L stainless steel by radiofrequency magnetron sputtering in order to improve the tritium permeation resistance. The microstructure and the phase composition of the Al2O3/Y2O3 composite coating are observed by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and grazing incidence X-ray diffraction. Moreover,Auger electron spectroscopy was used to characterize the depth profiles of Al,Y and O elements. The results clearly indicate that the Al2O3/Y2O3 composite coating is fully dense and the total thickness is approximately 340 nm.The Al2O3/Y2O3 coating consists of an amorphous Al2O3 and the cubic Y2O3,in which Al,Y and O elements are homogeneously distributed in the vertical base direction.Furthermore, the deuterium permeation property of the Al2O3/Y2O3 composite coating was measured by the gas phase permeation method. The results show that the introduction of an interface and the existence of a tiny amount of micro-defects improve the deuterium resistance of the Al2O3/Y2O3 coating, and its deuterium permeation reduction factor is 536-750 at 873-973 K.Therefore,it is concluded that the Al2O3/Y2O3 co mposite coating as deuterium permeation barrier can significa ntly enha nce the deuterium permeation resistance property.
文摘In the present study, pure magnesium was in situ coated with pre-alloyed Al–Cu–Mg alloy through hot pressing. The produced samples were characterized by means of hardness, wear properties and microstructure characterization. A ball-on-disk test was used to determine the dry sliding wear characteristics of the compacts. The results showed that the hot pressing technique has been successfully applied for producing magnesium parts with compatible wear resistance and hardness to aluminum. The in situ coating of Al on Mg by hot pressing resulted in an increase in hardness of about 30% compared with the pure Mg substrate. The wear rate and friction coefficient of the samples decreased with Al coating and increased with an increase in the applied load during the wear tests, compared with the uncoated material.
