This article presents a three-dimensional analysis of the impact of the angle of incidence of the magnetic field intensity on the electrical performance (series resistance, shunt resistance) of a bifacial polycrystalline silicon solar cell. The cell is illuminated simultaneously from both sides. The continuity equation for the excess minority carriers is solved at the emitter and at the depth of the base respectively. The analytical expressions for photocurrent density, photovoltage, series resistance and shunt resistance were deduced. Using these expressions, the values of the series and shunt resistances were extracted for different values of the angle of incidence of the magnetic field intensity. The study shows that as the angle of incidence increases, the slopes of the minority carrier density for the two modes of operation of the solar cell decrease. This is explained by a drop in the accumulation of carriers in the area close to the junction due to the fact that the Lorentz force is unable to drive the carriers towards the lateral surfaces due to the weak action of the magnetic field, which tends to cancel out as the incidence angle increases, and consequently a drop in the open circuit photovoltage. This, in turn, reduces the Lorentz force. These results predict that the p-n junction of the solar cell will not heat up. The study also showed a decrease in series resistance as the incidence angle of the magnetic field intensity increased from 0 rad to π/2 rad and an increase in shunt resistance as the incidence angle increased. His behaviour of the electrical parameters when the angle of incidence of the field from 0 rad to π/2 rad shows that the decreasing magnetic field vector tends to be collinear with the electron trajectory. This allows them to cross the junction and participate in the external current. The best orientation for the Lorentz force is zero, in which case the carriers can move easily towards the junction. 展开更多

A three-dimensional approach to the effect of magnetic field incidence angle on electrical power and conversion efficiency is performed on a front-illuminated polycrystalline silicon bifacial solar cell. A solution of the continuity equation allowed us to present the equations of photocurrent density, photovoltage and electric power. The influence of the angle of incidence of the magnetic field on the photocurrent density, the photovoltage and the electric power has been studied. The curves of electrical power versus dynamic junction velocity were used to extract the values of maximum electrical power and dynamic junction velocity and to calculate those of conversion efficiency. From this study, it is found that the conversion efficiency values increase with the angle of incidence of the magnetic field. 展开更多

The purpose of this work is to shed light on the effect of the pivot position on the surface pressure distribution over a 3D wing in different flight conditions. The study is intended to support the design and development of aerospace vehicles where stability analysis, performance optimization, and aircraft design are of primary importance. The following parameters are considered:Mach numbers(M)of 1.3,1.8,2.3,2.8,3.3,and 3.8,angle of incidence(θ)in the range from 5°to 25°,pivot position from h=0.2 to 1.The results of the CFD numerical simulations match available analytical data, thereby providing evidence for the reliability of the used approach. The findings provide valuable insights into the relationship between the surface pressure distribution, the Mach number and the angle of incidence. 展开更多

Frequency selective surfaces(FSSs)play an important role in wireless systems as these can be used as filters,in isolating the unwanted radiation,in microstrip patch antennas for improving the performance of these antennas and in other 5G applications. The analysis and design of the double concentric ring frequency selective surface(DCRFSS)is presented in this research. In the sub-6 GHz 5G FR1 spectrum,a computational synthesis technique for creating DCRFSS based spatial filters is proposed. The analytical tools presented in this study can be used to gain a better understanding of filtering processes and for constructing the spatial filters.Variation of the loop sizes, angles of incidence, and polarization of the concentric rings are the factors which influence the transmission coefficient as per the thorough investigation performed in this paper.A novel synthesis approach based on mathematical equations that may be used to determine the physical parameters ofDCRFSSbased spatial filters is presented. The proposed synthesis technique is validated by comparing results from high frequency structure simulator(HFSS),Ansys electronic desktop circuit editor, and an experimental setup.Furthermore, the findings acquired from a unit cell are expanded to a 2×2 array, which shows identical performance and therefore proves its stability. 展开更多

An improved reconstructing field method for measuring sound reflection coefficient of a large impedance surface at arbitrary incident angles is proposed in this paper. In order to get the reflection coefficient by the Spatial Transformation of Sound Fields (STSF), the complex pressure on two parallel planes near by the material surface or the reflection surface must be measured. By the acoustic intensity measurement, the phases of complex pressure on two parallel planes are given. The results of the numerical simulations are shown that the error due to the finite size of the measurement area, and it may be reduced by using a dipole sound source. 展开更多
