BACKGROUND Hospitalized and severely ill coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients necessitate prophylactic or therapeutic anticoagulation to minimize the risk of thrombosis at different sites.Life-threatening bleeding complications include spontaneous iliopsoas hematoma, peritoneal bleeding, and extra-abdominal manifestations such as intracranial hemorrhage.CASE SUMMARY Bleeding in the abdominal wall results in less severe complications than seen with iliopsoas hematoma or peritoneal bleeding. In our case series of 9 patients,we present retroperitoneal and abdominal bleeding complications following anticoagulation in hospitalized COVID-19 patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 pneumonia.Contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CE-CT)is the best imaging modality for assessing hematoma secondary to anticoagulation and determines the therapeutic approach, whether interventional, surgical,or conservative management.CONCLUSION We present the role of CE-CT for rapid and precise localization of the bleeding site and prognostic counseling. Finally,we provide a brief review of the literature. 展开更多

Objective: This case exemplifies the understanding of the physiological changes associate with 1) Left Ventricular Assist Devices, 2) monitoring challenges associated with Left Ventricular Assist Devices and 3) the usefulness of peripheral nerve blocks in this subset of patients. Case report: A 73-year-old man was scheduled for left wrist arthroscopy and debridement to treat a very painful septic joint. He had undergone Heartmate II Left Ventricular Assist Device implantation uneventfully for Destination Therapy 4 months prior. The patient required maintenance of therapeutic anticoagulation. We elected for an ultrasound-guided axillary block, which limits the risks of vascular injury in presence of high INR. The axillary nerve block enabled us to overcome potential anesthetic problems in a patient with a continuous flow LVAD. Conclusion: The physiologic principles of Left Ventricular Assist Device function should be understood before the initiation of anesthesia. Regional Anesthesiologists can offer a very significant contribution to the safe care of patients with heart failure requiring a continuous flow Left Ventricular Assist Device. 展开更多

Background:Early systemic anticoagulation(SAC)is a common practice in acute necrotizing pancreatitis(ANP),and its impact on in-hospital clinical outcomes had been assessed. However, whether it affects long-term outcomes is unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of SAC on 90-day readmission and other long-term outcomes in ANP patients. Methods:During January 2013 and December 2018,ANP patients admitted within 7 days from the onset of abdominal pain were screened. The primary outcome was 90-day readmission after discharge.Cox proportional-hazards regression model and mediation analysis were used to define the relationship between early SAC and 90-day readmission. Results:A total of 241 ANP patients were enrolled,of whom 143 received early SAC during their hospitalization and 98 did not.Patients who received early SAC experienced a lower incidence of splanchnic venous thrombosis(SVT)[risk ratio(RR)=0.40,95%CI:0.26-0.60,P<0.01]and lower 90-day readmission with an RR of 0.61(95%CI:0.41-0.91,P=0.02)than those who did not.For the quality of life, patients who received early SAC had a significantly higher score in the subscale of vitality(P=0.03)while the other subscales were all comparable between the two groups.Multivariable Cox regression model showed that early SAC was an independent protective factor for 90-day readmission after adjusting for potential confounders with a hazard ratio of 0.57(95%CI:0.34-0.96,P=0.04).Mediation analysis showed that SVT mediated 37.0%of the early SAC-90-day readmission causality. Conclusions:The application of early SAC may reduce the risk of 90-day readmission in the survivors of ANP patients, and reduced SVT incidence might be the primary contributor. 展开更多

We synthesized B-He/B-GREDVY and immobilized them on avidin-coated surfaces. To examine the immobilization of molecules in the material, the following experiments were performed:fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC) fluorescence staining, water contact angle and atomic force microscopy(AFM) measurements. Besides, the biological evaluation experiments were also performed, such as platelets adhesion and activation, the culturing of smooth muscle cells(SMC) and endothelial cells(EC). These experimental results show that the modified surfaces could prevent the hyperproliferation of SMC, and promote the proliferation and migration of EC and EPC. Furthermore, the adding of VEGF improved the EC adhesion in a dynamic environment. Generally, it is expected that the modified surfaces could be used to accelerate the formation of the newly endothelial layer for the construction of platforms for coronary artery stent therapy. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Venous thromboembolism significantly contributes to patient deterioration and mortality.Management of its etiology and anticoagulation treatment is intricate, necessitating a comprehensive consideration of various factors, including the bleeding risk, dosage, specific anticoagulant medications, and duration of therapy.Herein,a case of lower extremity thrombosis with multiple primary malignant tumors and high risk of bleeding was reviewed to summarize the shortcomings of treatment and prudent anticoagulation experience.CASE SUMMARY An 83-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital due to a 2-wk history of left lower extremity edema that had worsened over 2 d.Considering her medical history and relevant post-admission investigations,it was determined that the development of left lower extremity venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in this case could be attributed to a combination of factors, including multiple primary malignant tumors, iliac venous compression syndrome, previous novel coronavirus infection, and inadequate treatment for prior thrombotic events. However, the selection of appropriate anticoagulant medications, determination of optimal drug dosages, and establishment of an appropriate duration of anticoagulation therapy were important because of concurrent thrombocytopenia, decreased quantitative fibrinogen levels, and renal insufficiency.CONCLUSION Anticoagulant prophylaxis should be promptly initiated in cases of high-risk thrombosis.Individualized anticoagulation therapy is required for complex thrombosis. 展开更多

BACKGROUND It is well-described that the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)infection is associated with an increased risk of thrombotic complications. While there have been many cases of pulmonary emboli and deep vein thrombosis in these patients, reports of COVID-19 associated portal vein thrombosis(PVT)have been uncommon. We present a unique case of concomitant PVT and splenic artery thrombosis in a COVID-19 patient.CASE SUMMARY A 77-year-old-male with no history of liver disease presented with three days of left-sided abdominal pain. One week earlier, the patient was diagnosed with mildly symptomatic COVID-19 and was treated with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir.Physical exam revealed mild right and left lower quadrant tenderness, but was otherwise unremarkable.Significant laboratory findings included white blood cell count 12.5 K/μL,total bilirubin 1.6 mg/dL,aminoaspartate transferase 40 U/L,and alanine aminotransferase 61 U/L.Computed tomography of the abdomen and pelvis revealed acute PVT with thrombus extending from the distal portion of the main portal vein into the right and left branches. Also noted was a thrombus within the distal portion of the splenic artery with resulting splenic infarct.Hypercoagulable workup including prothrombin gene analysis, factor V Leiden, cardiolipin antibody, and JAK2 mutation were all negative.Anticoagulation with enoxaparin was initiated, and the patient’s pain improved. He was discharged on apixaban.CONCLUSION It is quite uncommon for PVT to present simultaneously with an arterial thrombotic occlusion,as in the case of our patient.Unusual thrombotic manifestations are classically linked to hypercoagulable states including malignancy and hereditary and autoimmune disorders.Viral infections such as Epstein-Barr virus, cytomegalovirus, viral hepatitis, and COVID-19 have all been found to increase the risk of splanchnic venous occlusions, including PVT.In our patient, prompt abdominal imaging led to early detection of thrombus, early treatment, and an excellent outcome. This case is unique in that it is the second known case within the literature of simultaneous PVT and splenic artery thrombosis in a COVID-19 patient. 展开更多

The use of anticoagulation therapy could prove to be controversial when trying to balance ischemic stroke and intracranial bleeding risks in patients with concurrent cerebral amyloid angiopathy(CAA)and atrial fibrillation(AF).In fact,CAA is an age-related cerebral vasculopathy that predisposes patients to intracerebral hemorrhage.Nevertheless, many AF patients require oral systemic dose-adjusted warfarin, direct oral anticoagulants(such as factor Xa inhibitors)or direct thrombin inhibitors to control often associated with cardioembolic stroke risk. The prevalence of both CAA and AF is expected to rise, due to the aging of the population. This clinical dilemma is becoming increasingly common. In patients with coexisting AF and CAA,the risks/benefits profile of anticoagulant therapy must be assessed for each patient individually due to the lack of a clear-cut consensus with regard to its risks in scientific literature. This review aims to provide an overview of the management of patients with concomitant AF and CAA and proposes the implementation of a risk-based decision-making algorithm. 展开更多

Continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT)is widely used for treating critically-ill patients in the emergency department in China.Anticoagulant therapy is needed to prevent clotting in the extracorporeal circulation during CRRT.Regional citrate anticoagulation(RCA)has been shown to potentially be safer and more effective, and is now recommended as the preferred anticoagulant method for CRRT.However, there is still a lack of unified standards for RCA management in the world, and there are many problems in using this method in clinical practice. The Emergency Medical Doctor Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)organized a panel of domestic emergency medicine experts and international experts of CRRT to discuss RCA-related issues, including the advantages and disadvantages of RCA in CRRT anticoagulation, the principle of RCA,parameter settings for RCA,monitoring of RCA(mainly metabolic acid-base disorders),and special issues during RCA.Based on the latest available research evidence as well as the paneled experts'clinical experience, considering the generalizability, suitability, and potential resource utilization, while also balancing clinical advantages and disadvantages,a total of 16 guideline recommendations were formed from the experts'consensus. 展开更多

Delayed bleeding is a major and serious adverse event of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)for early-stage gastrointestinal tumors. The rate of post-ESD bleeding for gastric cancer is higher(around 5%-8%)than that for esophagus, duodenum and colon cancer(around 2%-4%).Although investigations into the risk factors for post-ESD bleeding have identified several procedure-,lesion-,physician-and patient-related factors, use of antithrombotic drugs, especially anticoagulants[direct oral anticoagulants(DOACs)and warfarin],is thought to be the biggest risk factor for post-ESD bleeding. In fact, the post-ESD bleeding rate in patients receiving DOACs is 8.7%-20.8%,which is higher than that in patients not receiving anticoagulants. However, because clinical guidelines for management of ESD in patients receiving DOACs differ among countries,it is necessary for endoscopists to identify ways to prevent post-ESD delayed bleeding in clinical practice.Given that the pharmacokinetics(e.g.,plasma DOAC level at both trough and T_(max))and pharmacodynamics(e.g.,anti-factor Xa activity)of DOACs are related to risk of major bleeding, plasma DOAC level and anti-FXa activity may be useful parameters for monitoring the anti-coagulate effect and identifying DOAC patients at higher risk of post-ESD bleeding. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Splanchnic vein thrombosis(SVT)is a major complication of moderate and severe acute pancreatitis. There is no consensus on whether therapeutic anticoagulation should be started in patients with acute pancreatitis and SVT.AIM To gain insight into current opinions and clinical decision making of pancreatologists regarding SVT in acute pancreatitis.METHODS A total of 139 pancreatologists of the Dutch Pancreatitis Study Group and Dutch Pancreatic Cancer Group were approached to complete an online survey and case vignette survey. The threshold to assume group agreement was set at 75%.RESULTS The response rate was 67%(n=93).Seventy-one pancreatologists(77%)regularly prescribed therapeutic anticoagulation in case of SVT,and 12 pancreatologists(13%)for narrowing of splanchnic vein lumen. The most common reason to treat SVT was to avoid complications(87%).Acute thrombosis was the most important factor to prescribe therapeutic anticoagulation(90%).Portal vein thrombosis was chosen as the most preferred location to initiate therapeutic anticoagulation(76%)and splenic vein thrombosis as the least preferred location(86%).The preferred initial agent was low molecular weight heparin(LMWH;87%).In the case vignettes, therapeutic anticoagulation was prescribed for acute portal vein thrombosis, with or without suspected infected necrosis(82%and 90%),and thrombus progression(88%).Agreement was lacking regarding the selection and duration of long-term anticoagulation, the indication for thrombophilia testing and upper endoscopy, and about whether risk of bleeding is a major barrier for therapeutic anticoagulation.CONCLUSION In this national survey, the pancreatologists seemed to agree on the use of therapeutic anticoagulation, using LMWH in the acute phase, for acute portal thrombosis and in the case of thrombus progression, irrespective of the presence of infected necrosis. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the most common cause of chronic liver disease worldwide.Studies have shown a strong association between nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)cirrhosis and portal vein thrombosis.Specifically, there is paucity of data on the association of NASH and venous thromboembolism(VTE),with one such study predicting a 2.5-fold increased risk for VTE compared to other liver diseases in hospitalized patients. The mechanism is believed to be a hepatocellular injury, which causes a chronic inflammatory state leading to the unregulated activation of procoagulant factors. There has been no prior analysis of the degree of steatosis and fibrosis(measured using transient elastography, commonly known as FibroScan)in NASH and its association with VTE.AIM To examine the association between the degree of hepatic steatosis and fibrosis, quantified by transient elastography, and the incidence of VTE in patients with NASH.METHODS In our case-control study,we included patients with a documented diagnosis of NASH.We excluded patients with inherited thrombophilia, hemoglobinopathy, malignancy, alcohol use disorder, autoimmune hepatitis, and primary biliary cirrhosis. The collected data included age, demographics, tobacco use, recreational drug use, medical history, and vibration controlled transient elastography scores.VTE-specific data included the location, type of anticoagulant, need for hospital stay, and history of VTE recurrence.Steatosis was categorized as S0-S1(mild)and S2-S3(moderate to severe)based on the controlled attenuation parameter score.Fibrosis was classified based on the kilopascal score and graded as F0-F1(Metavir stage),F2,F3,and F4(cirrhosis).χ^(2) and Mann-Whitney U tests were used for the qualitative and quantitative variable analyses, respectively.Furthermore,we performed a logistic regression using VTE as the dependent variable.RESULTS A total of 415 patients were analyzed, and 386 met the inclusion criteria.51 and 335 patients were included in the VTE and non-VTE groups, respectively.Patients with VTE had a mean age of 60.63 years compared to 55.22 years in the non-VTE group(P<0.014).Patients with VTE had a higher body mass index(31.14 kg/m²vs 29.30 kg/m²)and a higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus(29.4%vs 13.1%).The history of NASH was significantly higher in the VTE group(45.1%vs 30.4%,P<0.037).Furthermore,moderate-to-severe steatosis was significantly higher in the VTE group(66.7%vs 47.2%,P<0.009).Similarly,the F2-F4 fibrosis grade had a prevalence of 58.8%in the VTE group compared to 38.5%in the non-VTE group(P<0.006).On logistic regression, using VTE as a dependent variable, diabetes mellitus had an odds ratio(OR)=1.702(P<0.015),and F2-F4 fibrosis grade had an OR=1.5(P<0.033).CONCLUSION Our analysis shows that NASH is an independent risk factor for VTE,especially deep vein thrombosis. There was a statistically significant association between the incidence of VTE,moderate-to-severe steatosis, and fibrosis. All hospitalized patients should be considered for medical thromboprophylaxis, particularly those with NASH. 展开更多

Right heart thrombus(RHTh) with concurrent acute pulmonary embolism(PE) is rare and can seriously destabilize hemodynamics, leading to an emergency situation with high mortality. Diagnosis and treatment of RHTh with acute PE are not yet standardized. There are few reports of acute PE concurrent with RHTh and even less is known about patients with a right heart mural thrombus. For physicians, the diagnostic choice and treatment of these patients are particularly difficult due to the lack of knowledge. Here, we report a rare case of partial mural RHTh(type C RHTh) with acute PE. The mural mass in the right heart was initially diagnosed as atrial myxoma according to transthoracic echocardiography(TTE), and both pulmonary embolus and the mural mass were completely absorbed after administering Rivaroxiban. This case suggests that TTE alone is insufficient to identify and diagnoses a right heart mural mass such as this. However, novel oral anticoagulants may be effective at alleviating PE with type C RHTh. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Drug-induced liver injury(DILI)can be caused by any prescribed drug and is a significant reason for the withdrawal of newly launched drugs.Direct-acting oral anticoagulants(DOACs)are non-vitamin K-based antagonists recently introduced and increasingly used for various clinical conditions.A meta-analysis of 29 randomised controlled trials and 152116 patients reported no increased risk of DILI with DOACs.However,it is challenging to predict the risk factors for DILI in individual patients with exclusion of patients with pre-existing liver disease from these studies.AIM To determine the risk factors and outcomes of patients who developed DILI secondary to DOACs by systematic review and meta-summary of recent case reports and series.METHODS A systematic search was conducted on multiple databases including PubMed,Science Direct,Reference Citation Analysis, and Google Scholar. The search terms included“Acute Liver Failure”OR“Acute-On-Chronic Liver Failure”OR“Acute Chemical and Drug Induced Liver Injury”OR“Chronic Chemical and Drug Induced Liver Injury”AND“Factor Xa Inhibitors”OR“Dabigatran”OR“Rivaroxaban”OR“apixaban”OR“betrixaban”OR“edoxaban”OR“Otamixaban”.The results were filtered for literature published in English and on adult patients.Only case reports and case studies reporting cases of DILI secondary to DOACs were included.Data on demographics, comorbidities, medication history, laboratory investigations, imaging, histology, management, and outcomes were extracted.RESULTS A total of 15 studies(13 case reports and 2 case series)were included in the analysis, comprising 27 patients who developed DILI secondary to DOACs.Rivaroxaban was the most commonly implicated DOAC(n=20,74.1%).The mean time to onset of DILI was 40.6 d.The most common symptoms were jaundice(n=15,55.6%),malaise(n=9,33.3%),and vomiting(n=9,33.3%).Laboratory investigations showed elevated liver enzymes and bilirubin levels.Imaging studies and liver biopsies revealed features of acute hepatitis and cholestatic injury. Most patients had a favourable outcome, and only 1 patient(3.7%)died due to liver failure.CONCLUSION DOACs are increasingly used for various clinical conditions, and DILI secondary to DOACs is a rare but potentially serious complication.Prompt identification and cessation of the offending drug are crucial for the management of DILI.Most patients with DILI secondary to DOACs have a favourable outcome, but a small proportion may progress to liver failure and death.Further research, including post-marketing population-based studies,is needed to better understand the incidence and risk factors for DILI secondary to DOACs. 展开更多

Splanchnic vein thrombosis(SVT)is a manifestation of venous thromboembolism in an unusual site.Portal, mesenteric, and splenic veins are the most common vessels involved in SVT which occurs mainly in patients with liver cirrhosis, although non-cirrhotic patients could be affected as well.Thrombosis of hepatic veins, also known as Budd-Chiari syndrome,is another manifestation of SVT.Prompt diagnosis and intervention are mandatory in order to increase the recalization rate and reduce the risk of thrombus progression and hypertensive complications.Traditional anticoagulation with heparin and vitamin-K antagonists is the treatment of choice in these cases. However, recent studies have shown promising results on the efficacy and safety of direct oral anticoagulants(DOACs)in this setting.Available results are mainly based on retrospective studies with small sample size, but first clinical trials have been published in the last years. This manuscript aims to provide an updated overview of the current evidence regarding the role of DOACs for SVT in both cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Congenitally corrected levo-transposition of the great arteries(L-TGA)is a congenital heart disease in which the ventricles and great arteries are transposed from their typical anatomy. In L-TGA,the double discordance, atrioventricular and ventriculoarterial, create an acyanotic milieu which allows patients to survive their early decades, however, progressive systemic right ventricle(sRV)dys-function creates complications later in life.sRV dysfunction and remodeling predisposes patients to intracardiac thrombus(ICT)formation.CASE SUMMARY A 40-year-old male with L-TGA presented with symptoms of acute decom-pensated heart failure. In childhood,he had surgical repair of a ventricular septal defect. In adulthood,he developed sRV dysfunction, systemic tricuspid valve(sTV)regurgitation, and left-bundle branch block for which he underwent cardiac resynchronization therapy.Transthoracic echocardiogram showed a sRV ejection fraction of 40%,severe sTV regurgitation, and a newly identified sRV ICT.ICT was confirmed by ultrasound-enhancing agents and transesophageal echocardio-graphy.Our patient was optimized with guideline-directed medical therapy and diuresis.Anticoagulation was achieved with a vitamin K antagonist(VKA)and he was later referred for evaluation by advanced heart failure and heart transplant services.CONCLUSION Anticoagulation with VKA is the mainstay of treatment in the absence of conclusive data supporting direct oral anticoagulant use in ICT in patients with congenital heart disease. This case illustrates the natural history of L-TGA and highlights the importance of surveillance and monitoring with dedicated cardiac imaging to identify complications. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Postpartum ovarian vein thrombosis(POVT)is a rare puerperal complication. It is easily missed or misdiagnosed due to its insidious onset and lack of specific clinical symptoms and signs. This paper reports two patients who developed right ovarian vein thrombosis after cesarean section and vaginal delivery, respectively.CASE SUMMARY Case 1 was a 32-year-old female who underwent a cesarean section in labor at 40 wk of gestation due to fetal distress. The patient was persistently febrile after the operation and escalated antibiotic treatment was ineffective.POVT was diagnosed by abdominal computed tomography(CT)and was treated by increasing the dose of low molecular weight heparin(LMWH).Case 2 was a 21-year-old female with a spontaneous vaginal delivery at 39 wk of gestation. The patient developed fever and abdominal pain 3 days after delivery.POVT was promptly identified by abdominal CT,and the condition was quickly controlled after treatment with LMWH and antibiotics.CONCLUSION These two cases occurred after cesarean section and vaginal delivery, respectively. The diagnosis was mainly based on imaging examination due to the unspecific clinical symptoms and signs, the CT scan provided an especially high diagnostic value.Comparing these two cases, escalating antibiotics alone did not provide significant therapeutic benefit, but the early escalation of anticoagulant dosage seemed to shorten the disease course. Therefore, early diagnosis by CT followed by aggressive anticoagulation might have a positive effect on improving the prognosis of the disease. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Bradyarrhythmias are typically treated with permanent pacemakers(PM). The elimination of bradyarrhythmia by PM implantation improves the patient’s quality of life and prognosis, but it can also result in a number of sequalae. It is still unclear how PM implantation affects the hemostasis system’s parameters and how such parameters relate to different consequences after PM placement.AIM To assess the blood coagulation factor activity in PM patients throughout the perioperative period.METHODS Patients treated in the Department of Surgical Therapy of Cardiac Arrhythmias and Pacing at the Ryazan State "Regional Clinical Cardiology Dispensary" from April 2020 to December 2021 were included in the study. Before surgery, 7 and 30 d after PM placement, peripheral venous blood samples were withdrawn to measure the level of blood coagulation factor Ⅰ(FⅠ) and the activity of blood coagulation factors Ⅱ(FⅡ), Ⅴ(FⅤ), Ⅶ(FⅦ), Ⅷ(FⅧ), ⅸ(Fⅸ), ⅹ(Fⅹ), Ⅺ(FⅪ), Ⅻ(FⅫ). We used an automatic coagulometer Sysmex CA 660(Sysmex Europe, Germany) and reagents from Siemens(Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Products GmbH, Germany).RESULTS The study included 146 patients. The activity of factors FⅤ [147.7(102.1-247.55)% vs 103.85(60-161.6)% vs 81.8(67.15-130.65)%, P = 0.002], FⅧ [80.4(60.15-106.25)% vs 70.3(48.5-89.1)% vs 63.7(41.6-88.25)%, P = 0.039], Fⅸ [86.2(70.75-102.95)% vs 75.4(59.2-88.3)% vs 73.9(56.45-93.05)%, P = 0.014], Fⅹ [188.9(99.3-308.18)% vs 158.9(83.3-230)% vs 127.2(95.25-209.35)%, P = 0.022], FⅪ [82.6(63.9-103.6)% vs 69.75(53.8-97.6)% vs 67.3(54.25-98.05)%, P = 0.002], FⅫ [87.6(67.15-102.3)% vs 78.9(63.4-97.05)% vs 81.2(62.15-97.4)%, P < 0.001] decreased at 7 and 30 d after surgery;FⅡ activity [157.9(109.7-245.25)% vs 130(86.8-192.5)% vs 144.8(103.31-185.6)%, P = 0.021] decreased at 7 d and increased at 30 d postoperatively. There were no statistically significant changes in the FVII activity within 30 d after PM placement [182.2(85.1-344.8)% vs 157.2(99.1-259)% vs 108.9(74.9-219.8)%, P = 0.128]. Subgroup analysis revealed similar changes only in patients on anticoagulant therapy. FⅫ activity decreased in patients on antiplatelet therapy [82(65.8-101.9)% vs 79.9(63.3-97.1)% vs 89.7(75.7-102.5)%, P = 0.01] 7 d after surgery, returning to baseline values at 30 d postoperatively.CONCLUSION PM placement and anticoagulant therapy were associated with decreased activity of clotting factors FⅤ, FⅧ, Fⅸ, Fⅹ, FⅪ, FⅫ in the postoperative period. FⅧ activity did not decrease within 30 d after PM placement, which may indicate endothelial injury caused by lead placement. 展开更多
