Preliminary Reports of Investigation and Study on Arge huazhongia Wei

Arge huazhongia Wei is a new pest on Kushui Rose in Lanzhou City of China, with two generations a year. The larvae duster together to feed on rose leaves. Female adults lay their eggs at the top of one-year-old branches of Kushui Rose. The mature larvae survive the winter cocooning in the rhizosphere of rose fallen leaves and frass, and emerge into adults in middle or late May. The injury rate of rose plants reaches 81.4%, and that of one-year-old shoots reaches 30.6%.

华中黑头三节叶蜂(Arge huazhongia Wei)是发生在苦水玫瑰上的新害虫,在兰州市一年发生2代,主要以幼虫群集取食玫瑰叶片,雌成虫选择苦水玫瑰健壮的当年生新枝顶部产卵,老熟幼虫在玫瑰根际落叶及虫粪间结茧越冬,次年5月中下旬越冬态成虫羽化。植株受害率达81.4%,当年生新梢受害率30.6%。
