Analyzing the Adaptation of Rebecca from the Novel to the Film in Light of the Black-and-White

In modern Chinese style garden, the designer could express the emotions in garden creation to produce artistic conception with landscape plants, which could make the sightseers desire to integrate with the nature and led to sympathizing with the concept, thereby motivating and arousing people＇s emotion to return to and close to nature. Through the 6 specific characteristics of ＂shape, color, aroma, shadow, sound and art＂ of landscape plants, some ways to build artistic conception in Chinese style garden were introduced in this study to provide references for the creation of artistic conception creation through senses in the future landscaping design.

Application of Aesthetic Value of the World Modern Garden City and Exploration & Design of Its Artistic Conception——Using Chengdu City as a Case Study

This study explored the origin and development of modern garden city,by integrating concepts of world modern garden city and characteristics of Chengdu cultures,analyzed the application of its aesthetic value and the design of its artistic conception.It was found that Chengdu City had high aesthetic value such as a large area of green spaces and unique recreational cultures,as well as a great potential of unifying idyllic images and natural cultures.To design Chengdu into a world modern garden city,the planning of its urban green space system should be taken as the foundation,"one group and three districts" as the construction system,urban folk cultures,logistics and traffic,information and other such networks as the support to achieve the "beauty of nature,social equity and urban-rural integration".

On the loss of cultural images in translation

In cultural translation the loss of cultural images often occurs. In most cases translators do so in order to make the target text understood more easily by the readers of the target language. But the result is worse quite often, because it usually affects correct transmission of the source text as a whole, what＇s even worse, it will affect the correct grasp of the artistic conception and figures of the source text. After description of the concept of urban feature with Nanning and Liuzhou City as example,the paper illustrated regional characteristics of Guangxi City and highlighted its cultural atmosphere of minority nationalities.It emphasized that only when regional urban feature was further enhanced could city development be promoted,and that only when urban feature was clearly identified could city square was characteristic.As for site selection of city square,it should follow principles of people-orientation,integrity,landscape,economy,ecology and geomancy.As for construction of city square,it should pay attention to integrate urban cultural feature based on relevant principles,and both inherit local historical culture and highlight local natural characteristic.In addition,folk artistic elements could be applied in city square,and folk artistic elements of nonmaterial culture could be integrated into the theme of city square.Material artistic elements could be also extracted and concluded as a kind of aesthetic art,reflected in concrete architectural forms.Characteristic innovation of city square should respect planning,start from city actuality,be based on self characteristics,consider citizens' willingness,and draw on local resources,so as to manifest regional cultural characteristic and promote city influence and competitiveness.

Landscape Pattern and Its Spirit of Place under the Influence of Zen Doctrine——Analysis and Evaluation of Landscape Environment of Wenshu Temple in Chengdu City of China

The paper had illustrated current status of Chinese temple gardens and background of Wenshu Temple in Chengdu City,analyzed that landscape spatial pattern of Wenshu Temple was characterized by introverted enclosed quadrangle courtyard including religious activity zone,life activities zone and garden rest zone.It also discussed the influences of artistic conception of Zen on spirit of place of landscape space in the perspectives of Zen architectural factors,introverted national culture,religious color of architectural space,and cultural landscape.It had proposed that there existed imperfections in later management of greening and landscaping in Wenshu Temple,and some problems such as enclosed space and isolated space from surrounding historical and cultural carrier.It pointed out that landscape perseverance was a long process and it should not restrict to protection of internal environment of carrier space but should enhance restoration of external part and relevant parts to display cultural and economic value of historical and cultural carrier.
