It has been reported that the interfacial DMI originating from Rashba spin–orbit coupling(SOC) can be linearly tuned with strong external electric fields. In this work, we experimentally demonstrate that the strength of DMI exhibits rapid fluctuations, ranging from 10% to 30% of its original value, as a function of applied electric fields in Pt/Co/MgO heterostructures within the small field regime(< 10-2V/nm). Brillouin light scattering(BLS) experiments have been performed to measure DMI, and first-principles calculations show agreement with this observation, which can be explained by the variation in orbital hybridization at the Co/MgO interface in response to the weak electric fields. Our results on voltage control of DMI(VCDMI) suggest that research related to the voltage control of magnetic anisotropy for spin–orbit torque or the motion control of skyrmions might also have to consider the role of the external electric field on DMI as small voltages are generally used for the magnetoresistance detection.展开更多

The main focus of the study is to analyze the tower shadow effect on the aerodynamic performance of the wind turbine under different inlet flow conditions. Subsequently, the finite element model is established by considering fluid/structure interactions to study the structural stress, displacement, strain distributions and flow field information of the structure under the uniform wind speed. Finally, the fluid-structure interaction model is established by considering turbulent wind and the tower shadow effect. The variation rules of the dynamic response of the one-way and two-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI) models under different wind speeds are analyzed, and the numerical calculation results are compared with those of the centralized mass model. The results show that the tower shadow effect and structural deformation are the main factors affecting the aerodynamic load fluctuation of the wind turbine, which in turn affects the aerodynamic performance and structural stability of the blades. The structural dynamic response of the coupled model shows significant similarity, while the structural displacement response of the former exhibits less fluctuation compared with the conventional centralized mass model. The one-way fluid-structure interaction(FSI)model shows a higher frequency of stress-strain and displacement oscillations on the blade compared with the two-way FSI model.展开更多

It has been showed that, on the macroscopic level, that medium—the “gravitational field”—manifests itself as the vector field Eg. In this article we will deduce from the postulate of the emission of informatons, that the informatons emitted by a moving mass particle carry not only information about the position (g-information) but also about the velocity (“β-information”) of their emitter. It follows that the gravitational field of a moving mass particle is a dual entity always having a field- and an induction-component (Egand Bg) simultaneously created by their common sources: time-variable masses and mass flows and that the gravitational interaction is the effect of the fact that an object in a gravitational field always tends to become “blind” for that field by accelerating according to a Lorentz-like law.展开更多

We find that the nonuniform magnetic field and Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction are the more efficient control parameters for the increase of entanglement and critical temperature. For both the nearest neighbour sites and the next nearest neighbour sites, the magnetic field can induce entanglement to a certain extent and the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction can enhance the entanglement to a stable value. The steady value of the nearest neighbour site entanglement C12 is larger than the next nearest neighbour site entanglement C13. An interesting phenomenon is that the entanglement curve of C12 appears a peak value when the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya interaction is considered in a nonuniform magnetic field.展开更多

The model was augmented to consider production and loss of the significant ion species in the Martian ionosphere, i.e., H^+, O2^+, O^+, CO^+2, associated with chemical reactions among all species. An ideal dipole-like local crustal field model was used to simplify the empirically measured Martian crustal field. Results of this simulation suggest that the magnetic pile-up region (MPR) and the velocity profile in the meridian plane are asymmetric, which is due to the nature of the multi-fluid model to decouple individual ion velocity resulting in occurrence of plume flow in the northern Martian magnetotail. In the presence of dipole magnetic field model, boundary layers, such as bow shock (BS) and magnetic pile-up boundary (MPB), become protuberant. Moreover, the crustal field has an inhibiting effect on the flux of ions escaping from Mars, an effect that occurs primarily in the region between the terminator (SZA 90°) and the Sun Mars line of the magnetotail (SZA 180°), partially around the terminator region. In contrast, near the tailward central line the crustal field has no significant impact on the escaping flux.展开更多

Here, five sets of crystal field parameters are discussed and compared. It demonstrates that, only considering the crystal field effect, the experiments can not be successfully explained. Thus, referring to the molecular field theory, an effective exchange field associated with the Dy-Dy exchange interaction is further taken into account. Under special consideration of crystal field and the exchange interaction field, it obtains an excellent agreement between the theoretical results and experiments, and further confirms that the exchange interaction field between rare-earth ions has great importance to magnetic properties in paramagnetic rare-earth gallium garnets.展开更多

Different from the case without the DM interaction, the excitation spectra ek of this model are not symmetrical in the momentum space and are not always positive. As a result, besides the ferromagnetic (FM) and the paramagnetic (PM) phases, a gapless chiral phase is induced. In the chiral phase, the von Neumann entropy is proportional to log2 L (L is the length of a subchain) with the coefficient A ~ 1/3, which is the same as that of the XY chain in a transverse field without the DM interaction for 7 = 0 and 0 〈 h 〈 1. And in the vicinity of the critical point between the chiral phase and the FM (or PM) phase, the behaviors of the nearest- neighbor concurrence and its derivative are like those for the anisotropy transition.展开更多

By using the Keldysh nonequilibrium Green function method, formulas of local density of states (LDOS) and conductance of QD are derived self-consistently. It shows that the LDOS and conductance have obvious changes with the Coulomb blockade interaction. The intensity and angle of the magnetic field or temperatures, which reflect the mesoscopic structure of the QD are derived. The superiority of this device is that the QD can be controlled easily by the magnetic field, so it is valuable to apply in generating, manipulating and probing spin state.展开更多

文摘A three-dimensional four species multi-fluid magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) model was constructed to simulate the solar wind global interaction with Mars. In contrast, near the tailward central line the crustal field has no significant impact on the escaping flux.

文摘Dendrite growth is a complex liquid-solid phase transition process involving multiple physical factors.A phase-field lattice-Boltzmann method was developed to simulate the two-and three-dimension dendrite growth of Al-Cu alloy. The effect of fully coupled thermal-solute-convection interaction on the dendrite growth was investigated by incorporating a parallel-adaptive mesh refinement algorithm into the numerical model.By accurately reproducing the latent heat release, solute diffusion and convective transport behaviors at the liquidsolid interface, the interaction mechanism among thermal-solute-convection transport as well as their coupling effects on the dendrite growth dynamics were discussed. The simulation results show that the release of latent heat slows down the dendrite growth rate, and both natural and forced convection disrupt the symmetrical growth of dendrites.Their combination makes the growth of dendrites more complex, capturing important physical aspects such as recalescence, dendrite tip splitting, dendrite tilting, dendrite remelting, and solute plume in the simulation case.Based on the robustness and powerful ability of the numerical model, the formation mechanisms of these physical aspects were revealed.

文摘This paper theoretically investigates the effects of crystal field and exchange interaction field on magnetic properties in dysprosium gallium garnet under extreme conditions (low temperatures and high magnetic fields) based on quantum theory. Under special consideration of crystal field and the exchange interaction field, it obtains an excellent agreement between the theoretical results and experiments, and further confirms that the exchange interaction field between rare-earth ions has great importance to magnetic properties in paramagnetic rare-earth gallium garnets.
文摘Based on a single ion model, Hamiltonian of the simplest form about magnetocrystalline anisotropy for Tb3+ ion was solved by using the numerical method. The relation between the stabilization energy, crystal field coefficient B20 and the magnetic exchange interaction was studied as temperature approaches to 0 K. The results show that the stabilization energy contributed by Tb3+ is linear with crystal field coefficient B20 approximately, but it is insensitive to the change of magnetic exchange interaction for the strong magnetic substances such as TbCo5, Tb2Co17 and Tb2Fe14B compounds.
文摘The resonance interaction of two-state atoms with single mode field is described theoretically by using the semi-classical theory and Jaynes-Cummings model. The nonlinear characteristics of this system are calculated by using FFT and Runge-Kutta methods. The chaotic strange attractors in this system are obtained from the numerical results.
文摘A series of magnetic properties of Tm_2Fe_(14)B are explained quantitatively by the calculations based on the single ion model. The magnetic properties include the temperature dependence of the spontaneous magnetization, the spin reorientation temperature and the magnetization curves along the principal crystal axes at 4.2, 100, 150 and 200 K. The values of the exchange field and the crystalline electric field parameters used in the calculations are μ_BH_(ex)(T=0 K)=135, B_2~0=1.77, B_2~2=±2.97, B_4~0=-3.06×10^(-3), B_4^(-2)=0, B_4~4=-6.82×10^(-3), B_6~0=1.05× 10^(-5), B_6^(-2)=±7.40×10^(-5), B_6~4=1.96×10^(-4), and B_6^(-6)=0 all in K unit. The magnetization processes of the Fe-and Tm-sublattices at different temperatures are analysed. The processes are characterized by the non-collinearity between the magnetic moments of the Fe-and Tm-sublattices.
文摘The interaction problem among fractures under the action of compressional stress is studied in this paper by using the finite element method and boundary element method respectively. The mechanical criteria which differentiate between the independent fractures and fracture systems and their computation methods are presented in this paper. The proportional conditions between length and spacing of fractures that exist interaction for several kinds of fracture groups of different geometric arrangement are given. The effect of interaction among fractures on the displacement field, stress field and strain energy distribution are computed. The relations between the fracture system of conjugate array and conjugate earthquakes are also discussed in this paper.

文摘The effects of the Dzyaloshinski-Moriya (DM) interaction on the ground-state properties of the anisotropic XY chain in a transverse field have been studied by means of correlation functions and entanglement. And in the vicinity of the critical point between the chiral phase and the FM (or PM) phase, the behaviors of the nearest- neighbor concurrence and its derivative are like those for the anisotropy transition.

文摘We study electronic transport through a quantum dot (QD) with a precessing magnetic field. The superiority of this device is that the QD can be controlled easily by the magnetic field, so it is valuable to apply in generating, manipulating and probing spin state.
