The effect of"rural cultural auditorium"on the revitalization of rural culture:A case study of villages A and B in Zhejiang Province

The construction of rural cultural auditorium is conducive to gathering local popularity,excavating history and continuing civilization,and it has become a powerful driving force for cultural revitalization in rural revitalization.However,the development of"Rural Cultural Auditorium"encountered many problems so far.From the perspective of rural cultural revitalization,and under the background of the new socialist rural cultural construction in China,this paper takes the rural cultural auditorium as the topic.The field questionnaire survey and semi-structured interview were constructed in Village A and Village B of Zhejiang Province,.SPSS software is used to analyze the collected questionnaire data.On the basis of combing related concepts and theories,it summs up the problems of"rural cultural auditorium",such as the existence of cultural auditorium,low participation rate of cultural auditorium activities,poor information communication,etc.Through visiting and investigating,going deep into the local area,according solutions are put forward such as increasing content diversity,paying attention to publicity and increasing interaction,so as to promote the healthy and sustainable development of rural cultural auditorium.It is hoped that this paper will explore the significance of the construction of rural cultural auditorium to the revitalization of rural culture in China,and put forward ideas on how to further build rural cultural auditorium,so as to provide reference for rural cultural construction services.

A primary study of the acoustics of Chinese traditional theatrical buildings

The traditional performing arts and theatrical buildings in China can be traced back to a long history and were well developed during Song and Yuan Dynasties, 11th-14th centuries. Pavilion stage, opened on three sides and thrusting into the audience area, was unique and the most popular form in the open-air theatres, the courtyard theatres, and the indoor theatres up to the present day. As the traditional Chinese opera is performed in an abstract way, no stage settings are required and used. Therefore, the pavilion stage including the flat or domed ceiling and the back wall is virtually functioned as a reflective shell, which increases the early reflections and also intensifies the sound in the audience area. Meanwhile, it provides sufficient self-support to the performers. Acoustical parameters including reverberation time RT, early decay time EDT, acoustic ratio C （50）, strength index （loudness） G, and stage support factor ST1 were measured and reported on several traditional theatrical buildings.

Actual Value of Rural Cultural Auditorium Construction from the Perspective of Social Transformation:A Case Study of Wenzhou City

From the perspective of social transformation,this paper analyzed the actual value of the construction of Wenzhou rural cultural auditorium,and it was found that it has important value in promoting the transformation of rural culture,economy,and grassroots governance.The construction of rural cultural auditorium is helpful for improving the present backward status of rural public cultural service supply,and promoting the integration and development of rural culture and urban culture;cultivating new rural economic entities,injecting action force for rural economic transformation and development;providing space guarantee for citizen participation in rural grassroots social governance,and is favorable for enhancing the awareness of public participation in rural grassroots governance.However,in the context of comprehensive rural revitalization,the value of cultural auditorium construction has not yet been fully realized.It is necessary to further enhance its value in rural social transformation from three aspects:auditorium construction,daily activity undertaking,and residents'participation in cultivation.

Growth with the city:Development history of theatrical buildings in Chongqing Municipality,China

In the twentieth century,the development of Chongqing Municipality was closely related to the development of China as a whole.Under the background of China’s rapid economic development,the construction of large cultural buildings is often aimed at stimulating economic growth,improving city image and enriching urban culture.Located in the southwest of China,Chongqing Municipality has gradually transformed from an industrial city to an exciting metropolis after a century of development and transformation.Taking Chongqing Grand Theatre and Chongqing Guotai Arts Center as examples,this study explores the interaction between urban development and cultural image enhancement in Chongqing Municipality.

Analysis on the Acoustics of an Auditorium

This paper examines the characteristics of a harmonic plane wave in 1D and applies it to a model of an auditorium in the shape of a quarter of an ellipsoid. In the application, this paper will mainly look at transmission loss, reverberation, disruption of the performers, and differences between different frequencies. The differences between different frequencies will be analyzed on both a macroscopic auditorium level as well as on a microscopic level of a single point in the audience.

Building Guastavino dome in China： A historical survey of the dome of the Auditorium at Tsinghua University

Established in 1909, Tsinghua Co[lege was built on the base of a royal garden, and developed into a modern university through campus designs produced by Henry Murphy. The Auditorium, one of the Four Grand Buildings during Tsinghua＇s formative times, was a significant part of early construction and has become a symbol of the school. However, no thorough measuring work has ever been done to it since its completion in 1921. This paper delves into archives with combination of field survey and measurement, aiming to better understand the historical background in which the construction of the Auditorium was embedded, and technological and structural features of the Auditorium. Though the Guastavino system was indicated in the original design drawn by Murphy, concrete shell was applied in the end. The first part combs up the intellectual origins and precedents of the campus planning by Henry Murphy. As the dome is a focal point of the study, a brief course on the history of dome construction in the West is needed. The third part, based upon field measurement in July 2013, compares the actual dome with its original design featured by the Guastavino method, deducing possible reasons that resulted in the differences, including architect＇s unfamiliarity with Guastavino Company and its parameters, considerations about cost, and local construction tradition.

Acoustic design and research on the auditorium of Shanghai Grand Theatre

Shanghai Grand Theatre is a great modern theatre with the largest formula, the highest investment, the most advanced technique and excellent acoustic quality in China. This article mainly introduced Shanghai Grand Theatre's characteristics of formula, technical requirements of acoustic design of Auditorium, characteristics of figure design, reverberation control, acoustic simulation research, acoustic performance and subjective evaluation.

Early sound distribution in auditorium

The importance of early sound, i.e., the direct sound and the first reflections, has long been recognized in auditorium design, but the distributions of early sound in auditorium received less investigation in the past. As we know, the early sound level in the audience area varies not only with the source/receiver distance and room constant, but also related with the room geometry, the absorption arrangement and the location of the source and receiver. The early reflections are of discrete components, so it can not be predicted by the diffused field theory. This paper presents the results of measurement in four halls showing the attenuation rates of early sound level with the source/receiver distance are often much larger than the theoretical predictions. Therefore, they may give overestimated results in acoustical design.
