It is found that the magnitude of Aulter-Townes spl...We investigate Autler-Townes splitting in the photoelectron spectra of K2 molecule driven by pump-probe pulses via employing the time-dependent wave packet approach. It is found that the magnitude of Aulter-Townes splitting varies with the wavelength of the intense laser pulse. In particular, the phenomenon of Aulter-Townes splitting vanishes for the far-off resonance of the pump pulse. Also, the split peaks of Autler Townes in the case of resonant pump pulse give us an approach to directly obtaining the transition dipole moment of a molecule.展开更多

Experimental data of the Autler-Townes splitting fit well to the dressedatom theory, by which the fact of the cold atoms dressed by cooling/trapping laser beams is revealed. The results of the theoretical fitting with experiment not only told us the effective Rabi frequency cold atoms experienced, but also could be used for measuring the probability amplitudes of the dressed states.展开更多

The Autler-Townes doublet in the sub-Doppler spectra of the coupling laser is clearly observed. The effects of coupling laser intensity on the splitting and linewidth of the Autler-Townes doublet are experimentally investigated and the results agree well with theoretical predictions. Taking the multiple hyperfine levels of caesium atom into account, a brief analysis is presented.展开更多

A control tone at different strengths is applied in resonance with the transition between the first and second excited states, while the spectra between each of them and the ground state are probed by another microwave tone. In a coherent system, enhanced nonlinearity can be reached via far-detuned coupling fields in the presence of Autler–Townes splitting. We explore the absorption spectra and the Kerr nonlinearity of the coherent syste...In a coherent system, enhanced nonlinearity can be reached via far-detuned coupling fields in the presence of Autler–Townes splitting. We explore the absorption spectra and the Kerr nonlinearity of the coherent system via the interaction between a four-level atomic system and triple fields. We obtain the absorption spectra with double, triple and even quadruple peaks which depend on both the magnitude and the difference of the coupling fields. The Kerr nonlinearity always remains reversely correlated with the absorption spectra. We find that the large coupling detunings can lead to a significant growth of the Kerr nonlinearity and the degenerate four-wave mixing. Both the Kerr nonlinearity and the four-wave mixing can be managed by adjusting the detunings of the coupling fields.展开更多
