We describe a primary stomach B-LBL in a 38 years old female who presented with nonspecific complaints of fatigue and vomiting for 2 mo. Gastrofiberscopy revealed a large gastric ulcer, which was successfully resected. Pathology showed a lymphoblastic cell lymphoma arising from the stomach, and there was no evidence of disease at any extrastomach site. Immunohistochemical staining and gene rearrangement studies supported that the stomach tumor was a clonal B-cell lymphoma. Therefore, the diagnosis of B-LBL was made based on the stomach specimen.展开更多

Methods: We relxospectively analyzed the data from 41 patients with chemotherapy-sensitive LL who underwent hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) from December 1989 to December 2009 in a single institution. Results: HSCT was conducted as first-line consolidation therapy and salvage therapy in 36 and 5 patients, respectively. The median follow-up was 97.1 months (range, 24.6-173.1 months). The 5-year overall survival (OS) and event-free survival (EFS) rate were 64% and 47% for the initially treated patients, respectively, and were both 20% for the relapsed ones. Bone marrow (BM) involvement and chemotherapy cycles prior to transplantation were identified as significant prognostic factors for EFS in multivariate analysis. Conclusions These results confirm that AHSCT is a reasonable option for chemotherapy-sensitive LL patients in first complete remission (CR1).展开更多

The diagnosis of systemic lymphoma was suggested upon the appearance of cutaneous tumors, palpable lymph nodes and general symptoms including asthenia and weight-loss. The pathology features: positive immunostaining for CD3 and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase(Td T) and staging, led us to the final diagnosis of T-lymphoblastic lymphoma(T-LBL) with cutaneous involvement. He received a CHOP regimen as first-line treatment. Unfortunately, the patient relapsed and died 8 mo after the treatment initiation. T-LBL may be diagnosed by skin lesions. Additional immunostaining including Td T and experienced histopathologists are needed to correctly classify this aggressive disease and discuss the correct management including bone-marrow transplantation where appropriate.展开更多

Polyethylene glycol-conjugated asparaginase(PEGASP) has a lower immunogenicity and is a standard treatment in all pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia(ALL).In this study, we investigated the efficacy and toxicity of PEG-ASP instead of L-ASP as used in the BFM-90regimen(PEG-ASP-BFM-90) for adult LBL.Methods: Between June 2012 and July 2015, we treated 30 adult patients with newly diagnosed LBL, using PEGASP-BFM-90 in a prospective, multicenter and single-arm clinical study at 5 participating institutions in China. Results: All the 30 patients, including 19 males and 11 females with a median age of 30(range: 18–62) years, completed 128 times of the PEG-ASP, with the median of 4(range: 2–6) times. Patients did not receive radiotherapy at this time. The overall response rate was 86.7%(26/30), with 50.0%(15/30) complete response and36.7%(11/30) partial response. The 3-year overall survival was 46.0% [95% confidence interval(95% CI),28.2%–64.8%], and the 3-year progression-free survival was 43.0%(95% CI, 25.7%–62.0%). Major adverse events were myelosuppression, reduced fibrinogen, liver dysfunction and digestive tract toxicities. No allergic reaction and no treatment-related mortality or severe complications were recorded. Conclusions: Our clinical data and observed outcomes indicate that 1 dose of PEG-ASP can replace multiple doses of native L-ASP in BFM-90, with predominantly grade 3–4 neutropenia for adult LBL, and no therapyrelated deaths. The effect is similar to previous reports of PEG-ASP-containing regimens for adult ALL. Major advantages include less serious allergic reactions, 2–3 weeks of action duration, and convenience for patients and physicians.展开更多

We developed a protocol to explore the immunophenotypic profiles of common ALL based on the expression levels of the antigens associated with B lymphoid development, including IL-7Rα (CD127), cytoplasmic CD79a (cCD79a), CD19, VpreB (CD179a), and sIgM, which are successive and essential for progression of B cells along their developmental pathway. Analysis of the immunophenotypes of 48 common ALL cases showed that the immunophenotypic patterns were highly heterogeneous, with the leukemic cell population differing from case to case. Through the comprehensive analysis of immunophenotypic patterns, the profiles of patient-specific composite leukemia cell populations could provide detailed information helpful for the diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring, and individualized therapies for common ALL.展开更多

Hence the present study examines the BMI-for-age of Indian childhood ALL and NHL survivors. Method: A retrospective study of 118 ALL/NHL survivors and 138 age sex matched was carried out. From the recorded heights and weights were body mass index (BMI) was computed. The survivor data was compared with 138 controls from the data set collected by investigators previously. Results: 82.8% of patients had BMI-for-age in 5th-84th percentile (healthy) at time of diagnosis and at inclusion in the study. Comparison of BMI of survivors with matched controls was not significant. However, The mean BMI-for-age for younger patients (3 to 12 years) was significantly higher than mean BMI-for-age of matched controls. Distribution of data by time elapsed from therapy was significant. Overweight/obesity was observed among the survivors who were off therapy for two years with increase in after four years post-therapy. Conclusion: Our preliminary study indicates late effects of therapy and points to the need of long term assessment of the survivors, even though majority of them were within the normal weight range.展开更多

All records were retrospectively collected. Time to event analysis was calculated from the date of HCT until event of interest or last follow up with Kaplan-Meir means. Cox regression model was used for multivariable analysis calculation.RESULTS A total of 69 patients were enrolled and examined with a median age of 21(14-61). After a median follow up of 15 mo(2-87.3), the 2-year cumulative incidence of relapse, cumulative incidence of non-relapse mortality, progression free survival and overall survival(OS) were 34.1%, 10.9%, 54.9% and 62.8%,respectively. In a multivariable analysis for OS; acute graft vs host disease(GVHD) and chronic GVHD were significant with corresponding hazard ratio 4.9(1.99-12; P = 0.0007) and 0.29(0.1-0.67; P = 0.0044), respectively.CONCLUSION Allogeneic-HCT for high risk ALL/LBL resulted in promising remissions particularly for patients with cGVHD.展开更多

The purpose of this study was to identify putative driver genes in T-LBL.Methods: To gain insight into the genetic mechanisms of T-LBL development, we performed whole-exome sequencing on 41 paired tumor-normal DNA samples from patients with T-LBL.Results: We identified 32 putative driver genes using whole-exome sequencing in 41 T-LBL cases, many of which have not previously been described in T-LBL, such as Janus kinase 3(JAK3), Janus kinase 1(JAK1), Runtrelated transcription factor 1(RUNX1) and Wilms’ tumor suppressor gene 1(WT1). When comparing the genetic alterations of T-LBL to T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(T-ALL), we found that JAK-STAT and RAS pathway mutations were predominantly observed in T-LBL(58.5% and 34.1%, respectively), whereas Notch and cell cycle signaling pathways mutations were more prevalent in T-ALL. Notably, besides notch receptor 1(NOTCH1), mutational status of plant homeodomain(PHD)-like finger protein 6(PHF6) was identified as another independent factor for good prognosis. Of utmost interest is that co-existence of PHF6 and NOTCH1 mutation status might provide an alternative for early therapeutic stratification in T-LBL.Conclusions: Together, our findings will not only provide new insights into the molecular and genetic mechanisms of T-LBL, but also have tangible implications for clinical practice.展开更多

W...T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (T-ALL/T-LBL) is commonly associated with Notch 1 mutations. There is limited data on the relationship between Notch l and NF-κB expression and clinical features in LBL. We evaluated the expression of Notch l and NF-κB in LBL using immunohistochemistry and analyzed their relationship with clinical characteristics, treatment results, and survival. From October 2000 to August 2008, 34 untreated patients with LBL were enrolled in the study. Median age was 11.8 years (range, 1 - 25 years). Twenty-five patients were diagnosed with T-LBL and 9 patients with B-LBL. Most patients received chemotherapy consisting of modified ALL-BFM- 90. Notch l showed high expression in 68% of T-LBL and low expression in 100% of B-LBL (p = 0.015). High expression of Notch l positively correlated with presence of a mediastinal mass but not with 5-year event free survival (EFS) in T-LBL. NF-κB showed high expression in 65% of all patients with LBL, with no difference between T- and B-LBL. NF-κB expression was higher in T-LBL patients with bulky disease and B symptom;it did not correlate with 5-year EFS in T-LBL. Expression of Notch 1 and NF-κB strongly correlated (p = 0.014) in T-LBL. Notch 1 is highly ex- pressed in T-LBL. NF-κB is highly expressed in all patients with LBL with no difference between T-LBL and B-LBL. Notch 1 expression was significantly associated with NF-κB expression in T-LBL. Notch l and NF-κB may play an important role in the development of T-LBL;further investigation is warranted.展开更多

METHODS Thirty patients with cutaneous B-cell lymphoma (CBCL) were treated by cutaneous irradiation based on the number and location of the lesions and the stage of their tumor. Treatment was conducted using a Satume Clinac. RESULTS A complete response (CR) from the treatment for our series was 86%. The length of complete remission ranged from 4 to 301 months. Three patients (11%) developed a partial response (PR). One patient was progressive. Disease-free survival(DFS) at 10 years was 87%. Three patiens died [One PCMZL two PCLBCL leg type (29%)]. Radiotherapy was generally well tolerated. CONCLUSION According to the WHO/EORTC classification, the survivor results were good for PCMZL and PCFCL. The PCLBCL leg type had a poor prognosis. Localized field irradiation is an effective treatment for some localized forms of primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma, and this mode of therapy can produce prolonged remissions. The patients with wide-spread skin involvement are usually candidates for extended field irradiation and/or chemotherapy. For advanced stages of cutaneous B-cell lymphoma, where chemotherapy is the treatment of choice, a degree of palliation can be achieved using local field irradation.展开更多

Their clinical characteristics and outcomes were analyzed according to the primary site. Results: In the 1,085 patients, 679(62.6%) cases were nodal DLBCL(N-DLBCL) and 406 cases(37.4%) were extranodal DLBCL(EN-DLBCL). The most common sites of N-DLBCL were lymphonodus(64.8%), Waldeyer's ring(19.7%), mediastinum(12.8%) and spleen(2.7%), while in EN-DLBCL, stomach(22.4%), intestine(16.0%),nose and sinuses(8.9%), testis(8.4%), skin(7.9%), thyroid(6.9%), central nervous system(CNS)(6.4%), breast(5.7%), bone(3.4%), and salivary gland(2.7%) were most common. N-DLBCL patients tend to present B symptoms, bulky disease, and elevated LDH more often, while age >60 years, extranodal sites >1, Ann Arbor stage I or II, bone marrow involvement, and Ki-67 index >90% were usually seen in EN-DLBCL. The 5-year overall survival(OS) rate and progression-free survival(PFS) rate for all patients were 62.5% and 54.2%. The 5-year OS rate for patients with N-DLBCL and EN-DLBCL were 65.5% and 56.9%(P=0.008), and the 5-year PFS were57.0% and 49.0%(P=0.020). Waldeyer's ring originated DLBCL possessed the highest 5-year OS rate(83.6%) and PFS rate(76.9%) in N-DLBCL. The top five EN-DLBCL subtypes with favorable prognosis were stomach, breast, nose and sinuses, lung, salivary gland, with 5-year OS rate: 70.3%, 69.6%, 69.4%, 66.7% and 63.6%,respectively. While CNS, testis, oral cavity and kidney originated EN-DLBCL faced miserable prognosis, with 5-year OS rate of 26.9%, 38.2%, and 42.9%.Conclusions: In our study, primary sites were associated with clinical characteristics and outcomes. Compared with EN-DLBCL, N-DLBCL had better prognosis.展开更多

文摘Objective:In B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia(B-ALL),current intensive chemotherapies for adult patients fail to achieve durable responses in more than 50%of cases, underscoring the urgent need for new therapeutic regimens for this patient population. The present study aimed to determine whether HZX-02-059,a novel dual-target inhibitor targeting both phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate 5-kinase(PIKfyve)and tubulin,is lethal to B-ALL cells and is a potential therapeutic for B-ALL patients. Methods:Cell proliferation, vacuolization, apoptosis, cell cycle, and in-vivo tumor growth were evaluated. In addition,Genome-wide RNA-sequencing studies were conducted to elucidate the mechanisms of action underlying the anti-leukemia activity of HZX-02-059 in B-ALL.Results:HZX-02-059 was found to inhibit cell proliferation, induce vacuolization, promote apoptosis, block the cell cycle, and reduce in-vivo tumor growth.Downregulation of the p53 pathway and suppression of the phosphoinositide 3-kinase(PI3K)/AKT pathway and the downstream transcription factors c-Myc and NF-κB were responsible for these observations. Conclusion:Overall, these findings suggest that HZX-02-059 is a promising agent for the treatment of B-ALL patients resistant to conventional therapies.
文摘Primary stomach lymphoblastic B-cell lymphoma (B-LBL) is a rare tumor. Therefore, the diagnosis of B-LBL was made based on the stomach specimen.

文摘Objective: The study evaluated the effectiveness of autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) in the treatment of lymphoblastic lymphoma (LL). Conclusions These results confirm that AHSCT is a reasonable option for chemotherapy-sensitive LL patients in first complete remission (CR1).

文摘To study dermatological manifestation of T-lymphoblastic lymphoma and to help clinicians in the diagnosis, we report here the case of a 75-year-old patient who presented with violaceous nodules acquired during the last 4 wk and affecting the scalp and right arm. Additional immunostaining including Td T and experienced histopathologists are needed to correctly classify this aggressive disease and discuss the correct management including bone-marrow transplantation where appropriate.
文摘Objective: Although L-asparaginase(L-ASP) is a standard treatment for lymphoblastic lymphoma(LBL),hypersensitivity reactions by some patients limit its application. Major advantages include less serious allergic reactions, 2–3 weeks of action duration, and convenience for patients and physicians.

文摘Immunophenotype is critical for diagnosing common B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (common ALL) and detecting minimal residual disease. Through the comprehensive analysis of immunophenotypic patterns, the profiles of patient-specific composite leukemia cell populations could provide detailed information helpful for the diagnosis, therapeutic monitoring, and individualized therapies for common ALL.
文摘BACKGROUND Anaplastic lymphoma kinase(ALK)-positive large B-cell lymphoma(LBCL)is an aggressive and rare variant of diffuse LBCL.Herein,we report an uncommon case of stage IE extranodal ALK-positive LBCL initially originating in the bulbar con-junctiva.CASE SUMMARY A 63-year-old woman presented with a mass in the left bulbar conjunctiva that had persisted for six months, accompanied by swelling and pain that had per-sisted for 3 d.Eye examination revealed an 8 mm slightly elevated pink mass in the lower conjunctival sac of the left eye.Microscopically, the tumor was com-posed of large immunoblastic and plasmablastic large lymphoid cells with scattered anaplastic or multinucleated large cells.Immunophenotypically, the neoplastic cells were positive for ALK,CD10,CD138,Kappa,MUM1,BOB.1,OCT-2,CD4,CD45,EMA,CD79a,CD38,and AE1/AE3,and negative for CD20,PAX5,Lambda,BCL6,CD30 and all other T-cell antigens. The results of gene rearrangement tests showed monoclonal IGH/IGK/IGL and TCRD rearran-gements.Fluorescence in situ hybridization studies did not reveal any BCL2,BCL6 or MYC rearrangements.Furthermore,Epstein-Barr virus was not detected by in situ hybridization in the lesions.Based on the histopathological and imaging examinations, the neoplasm was classified as stage IE ALK-positive LBCL.No further treatments were administered. At the 6,15,and 21 mo postoperative follow-up visits, the patient was in good condition, without obvious discomfort. This case represents the first example of primary extranodal ALK-positive LBCL presenting as a bulbar conjunctival mass, which is extremely rare and shares morphological and immunohistochemical features with a variety of other neo-plasms that can result in misdiagnosis.CONCLUSION Awareness of the condition presented in this case report is necessary for early and accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

文摘BACKGROUND High-grade B-cell lymphoma(HGBL)is an unusual malignancy that includes myelocytomatosis viral oncogene(MYC),B-cell lymphoma-2(BCL-2),and/or BCL-6 rearrangements, termed double-hit or triple-hit lymphomas, and HGBL-not otherwise specific(HGBL-NOS),which are morphologically characteristic of HGBL but lack MYC,BCL-2,or BCL-6 rearrangements.HGBL is partially transformed by follicular lymphoma and other indolent lymphoma, with few cases of marginal zone lymphoma(MZL)transformation.HGBL often has a poor prognosis and intensive therapy is currently mainly advocated, but there is no good treatment for these patients who cannot tolerate chemotherapy.CASE SUMMARY We reported a case of MZL transformed into HGBL-NOS with TP53 mutation and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase expression.Gene analysis revealed the gene expression profile was identical in the pre-and post-transformed tissues, suggesting that the two diseases are homologous, not secondary tumors. The chemotherapy was ineffective and the side effect was severe,so we tried combination therapy including venetoclax and obinutuzumab. The patient tolerated treatment well, and reached partial response. The patient had recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma and died of multifunctional organ failure. He survived for 12 months after diagnosis.CONCLUSION Venetoclax combined with obinutuzumab might improve the survival in some HGBL patients, who are unsuitable for chemotherapy.

文摘Background:The primary cause of treatment failure in patients with refractory or relapsed B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma(r/r B-NHL)is resistance to current therapies, and therapy-induced senescence(TIS)stands out as a crucial mechanism contributing to tumor drug resistance. Here,we analyzed SENEX/Rho GTPase Activating Protein 18(ARHGAP18)expression and prognostic significance in doxorubicin-induced B-NHL-TIS model and r/r B-NHL patients, investigating its target in B-NHL cell senescence and the effect of combining specific inhibitors on apoptosis resistance in B-NHL-TIS cells. Methods:Raji cells were transfected with the human SENEX shRNA recombinant lentiviral vector(Sh-SENEX)and the empty vector negative(NC)to construct a stable transfection cell line with knockdown of SENEX.Effect of SENEX-silencing on B-NHL-TIS formation, cell function and cell cycle-related pathways was analyzed.Using doxorubicin(DOX)-inducible senescent B-NHL cells combined with the specific cyclin dependent kinase 4/6(CDK4/6)inhibitor Palbociclib to observe that blocking CDK4/6 effects on TIS formation.SENEX expression of 21 B-NHL patients and 8 healthy controls were analyzed by qRT-PCR,and the correlation between its expression and clinical indicators were evaluated. Results:The downregulation of SENEX expression promotes G1-S phase transition and apoptosis while inhibiting cell proliferation, collectively suppressing the formation of TIS in B-NHL.Blockade of CDK4/6 promotes the DOX-induced G1 phase arrest to enhance TIS formation in B-NHL cells which can reverse the regulatory effect of silencing SENEX on B-NHL cell cycle regulation and senescence. The expression levels of SENEX were notably elevated in B-NHL patients compared to healthy controls, and Elevated expression levels of SENEX were associated with poor prognosis of B-NHL patients. Conclusions:SENEX enhances apoptosis resistance in B-NHL by inhibiting CDK4/6,thereby preventing G1-S phase transition and promoting TIS formation.
文摘BACKGROUND Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)is a rapidly growing malignant tumor, and chemotherapy is one of the treatments used to combat it.Although advancements of science and technology have resulted in more and more patients being able to receive effective treatment, they still face side effects such as fatigue and weakness. It is important to thoroughly investigate the factors that contribute to cancer-related fatigue(CRF)during chemotherapy.AIM To explore the factors related to CRF,anxiety, depression, and mindfulness levels in patients with DLBCL during chemotherapy.METHODS General information was collected from the electronic medical records of eligible patients.Sleep quality and mindfulness level scores in patients with DLBCL during chemotherapy were evaluated by the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire-Short Form. The Piper Fatigue Scale was used to evaluate the CRF status. The Self-Rating Anxiety Scale and Self-Rating Depression Scale were used to evaluate anxiety and depression status.Univariate analysis and multivariate regression analysis were used to investigate the factors related to CRF.RESULTS The overall average CRF level in 62 patients with DLBCL during chemotherapy was 5.74±2.51.In 25 patients, the highest rate of mild fatigue was in the cognitive dimension(40.32%),and in 35 patients the highest moderate fatigue rate in the behavioral dimension(56.45%).In the emotional dimension, severe fatigue had the highest rate of occurrence,34 cases or 29.03%.The CRF score was positively correlated with cancer experience(all P<0.01)and negatively correlated with cancer treatment efficacy(all P<0.01).Tumor staging, chemotherapy cycle,self-efficacy level, and anxiety and depression level were related to CRF in patients with DLBCL during chemotherapy.CONCLUSION There was a significant correlation between CRF and perceptual control level in patients.Tumor staging, chemotherapy cycle,self-efficacy level, and anxiety and depression level influenced CRF in patients with DLBCL during chemotherapy.

文摘Objective:To evaluate whether improved progression-free survival(PFS)from radiotherapy(RT)translates into an overall survival(OS)benefit for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL).Methods:A systematic literature search identified randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and retrospective studies that compared combined-modality therapy(CMT)with chemotherapy(CT)alone.Weighted regression analyses were used to estimate the correlation between OS and PFS benefits.Cohen’s kappa statistic assessed the consis-tency between DLBCL risk-models and PFS patterns.Furthermore, the benefit trend of RT was analyzed by fitting a linear regression model to the pooled hazard ratio(HR)according to the PFS patterns. Results:For both 7 RCTs and 52 retrospective studies, correlations were found between PFS HR(HRPFS)and OS HR(HROS)at trial level(r=0.639-0.876),and between PFS and OS rates at treatment-arm level, regardless of CT regimens(r=0.882-0.964).Incorporating RT into CT increased about 18%of PFS,and revealed a different OS benefit profile.Patients were stratified into four CT-generated PFS patterns(>80%,>60-80%,>40-60%,and≤40%),which was consistent with risk-stratified subgroups(kappa>0.6).Absolute gain in OS from RT ranged from≤5%at PFS>80%to about 21%at PFS≤40%,with pooled HROS from 0.70(95%CI,0.51-0.97)to 0.48(95%CI,0.36-0.63)after rituximab-based CT.The OS benefit of RT was predominant in intermediate-and high-risk patients with PFS≤80%.Conclusion:We demonstrated a varied OS benefit profile of RT to inform treatment decisions and clinical trial design.
文摘Background: Obesity in pediatric ALL survivors is a well recognized late effect. Conclusion: Our preliminary study indicates late effects of therapy and points to the need of long term assessment of the survivors, even though majority of them were within the normal weight range.
文摘AIM To examine the outcome and prognostic factors for high risk patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma(ALL/LBL) who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HCT) at our center during the period of2010-2017 METHODS After due institutional review board approval, patients with high risk ALL/LBL post HCT were identified and included. In a multivariable analysis for OS; acute graft vs host disease(GVHD) and chronic GVHD were significant with corresponding hazard ratio 4.9(1.99-12; P = 0.0007) and 0.29(0.1-0.67; P = 0.0044), respectively.CONCLUSION Allogeneic-HCT for high risk ALL/LBL resulted in promising remissions particularly for patients with cGVHD.

文摘Objective: T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma(T-LBL) is an aggressive neoplasm of precursor T cells, however, detailed genome-wide sequencing of large T-LBL cohorts has not been performed due to its rarity. Of utmost interest is that co-existence of PHF6 and NOTCH1 mutation status might provide an alternative for early therapeutic stratification in T-LBL.Conclusions: Together, our findings will not only provide new insights into the molecular and genetic mechanisms of T-LBL, but also have tangible implications for clinical practice.
文摘T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma (T-ALL/T-LBL) is commonly associated with Notch 1 mutations. Notch l and NF-κB may play an important role in the development of T-LBL;further investigation is warranted.
文摘OBJECTIVE To report results of radiation therapy treatment of 30 B-cell lymphoma patients with an initial cutaneous presentation according to the new classification by the WHO/EORTC. For advanced stages of cutaneous B-cell lymphoma, where chemotherapy is the treatment of choice, a degree of palliation can be achieved using local field irradation.

文摘Objective: To explore the clinicobiologic features and outcomes of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients in China according to the primary site. Methods: A total of 1,085 patients diagnosed with DLBCL in National Cancer Center/Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College during a 6-year period were enrolled. Compared with EN-DLBCL, N-DLBCL had better prognosis.
文摘Primary pancreatic lymphoma(PPL)is an extremely rare form of extranodal malignant lymphoma. The most common histological subtype of PPL is diffuse large B cell lymphoma(DLBCL).In rare cases,PPL can also present as follicular lymphoma, small lymphocytic lymphoma, and T cell lymphoma either of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma or of Hodgkin’s lymphoma.T-cell/histiocyterich large B-cell lymphoma(T/HRBCL)is an uncommon morphologic variant of DLBCL with aggressive clinical course,it is predominantly a nodal disease, but extranodal sites such as bone marrow, liver, and spleen can be involved.Pancreatic involvement of T/HRBCL was not presented before.Herein,we report a 48-year-old male who was hospitalized with complaints of jaundice, dark brown urine, pale stools, and nausea. The radiological evaluation revealed a pancreatic head mass and, following operative biopsy, the tumor was diagnosed as T/HRBCL.The patient achieved remission after six cycles of CHOP chemotherapy.Therefore,T/HRBCL can be treated similarly to the stage-matched DLBCL and both of them get equivalent outcomes after chemotherapy.
