The study addresses the integration of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) methodology with Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in the context of the development of a multidisciplinary project, involving architecture, structures, water network and electrical system components. In order to cover in detail the various design features, the case study was limited to a specific area of a house, the sanitary rooms, as it presents sufficient complexity in modeling and the application of VR and AR software. The VR/AR functionalities applied over the BIM model increase the potential of BIM in the construction sector, contributing to the achievement of a high level of collaboration and control of the project based on an immersive and interactive environment. The elaboration of the different phases of a BIM design requires the transfer of models between BIM and VR/AR systems, allowing us to analyze the main advantages that BIM/VR/AR integration can introduce in the construction industry. The study contributes positively to achieving new knowledge in BIM, being disseminated in an academic research work and illustrated in a practical context. 展开更多

An efficiently iterative analytical-numerical method is proposed for two-dimensional (2D) electromagnetic scattering from a perfectly electric conducting (PEC) target buried under a dielectric rough surface. The basic idea is to employ the Kirchhoff approximation (KA) to accelerate the boundary integral method (BIM). Below the rough surface, an iterative system is designed between the rough surface and the target. The KA is used to simulate the initial field on the rough surface based on the Fresnel theory, while the target is analyzed by the boundary integral method to obtain a precise result. The fields between the rough surface and the target can be linked by the boundary integral equations below the rough surface. The technique presented here is highly efficient in terms of computational memory, time, and versatility. Numerical simulations of two typical models are carried out to validate the method. 展开更多

In this pager, the displacement discontinuity fundamental solutions ( DDFS) corresponding to the unit concentrated displacement discontinuity for plane problems of non-local elasticity are obtained. Based on the displacement discontinuity boundary integral equation (DDBIE) and boundary element method (BEM), a method of analysis of crack problems in non-local elasticity with generalized purpose is proposed. By using this method, several important problems in fracture mechanics such as edge crack are studied. The study of edge crack shows that the stress concentration factor (SCF) near the crack tip is not a constant but varies with the crack length. With this result the effect of crack length on the fracture roughness K (I c) is studied. The results obtained in this paper are in accordance with the published ones. 展开更多

Understanding the near boundary acoustic oscillation of microbubbles is critical for the effective design of ultrasonic biomedical devices and surface cleaning technologies.Accordingly, this study investigates the three-dimensional microbubble oscillation between two curved rigid plates experiencing a planar acoustic field using boundary integral method(BIM).The numerical model is validated via comparison with the nonlinear oscillation of the bubble governed by the modified Rayleigh-Plesset equation and with the axisymmetric model for an acoustic microbubble in infinite fluid domain. Then, the influence of the wave direction and horizontal standoff distance(h)on the bubble dynamics(including jet velocity, jet direction, centroid movement, total energy, and Kelvin impulse)were evaluated. It was concluded that the jet velocity, the maximum radius and the total energy of the bubble are not significantly influenced by the wave direction, while the jet direction and the high-pressure region depend strongly on it.More importantly,it was found that the jet velocity and the high-pressure region around the jet in acoustic bubble are drastically larger than their counterparts in the gas bubble. 展开更多
