A two-phase differentiated flow treatment based dynamic admission co...The admission control issue in the design of a centralized bandwidth broker model for dynamic control and management of QoS provisioning is studied. A two-phase differentiated flow treatment based dynamic admission control scheme under the centralized bandwidth broker model is proposed. In the proposed scheme, the flow requests are classified into two classes and get differentiated treatment according to their QoS demands. We demonstrate that this admission control scheme can not only improve the resource utilization but also guarantee the flows＇ QoS. Furthermore, the admission control is divided into two phases： edge admission control and interior admission control. During the interior phase, the PoQ scheme is adopted, which enhances the call processing capability of the bandwidth broker. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can result in lower flow blocking probability and higher resource utilization. And it also reduces the number of QoS state accesses/updates, thereby increasing the overall call processing capability of the bandwidth broker.展开更多
Based on the investigation into the rural labor brokers in Chongqing Municipality,the developmental momentum of rural labor brokers in Chongqing Municipality is introduced.The valid questionnaires show that the main f...Based on the investigation into the rural labor brokers in Chongqing Municipality,the developmental momentum of rural labor brokers in Chongqing Municipality is introduced.The valid questionnaires show that the main factors which limit the development of rural labor brokers in Chongqing Municipality are the scant effective information,low quality,insufficient education and training,absent of specialized policies and regulations,low degree of organization,and low social recognition.The requirements for the healthy development of rural labor brokers are concluded,which include healthy policies and regulations,healthy social culture and the external support from the government.Besides,the rural labor brokers should have high competence,high professional ethnics,strong awareness of law and relatively high educational level.At last,the targeted countermeasures are put forward,which cover strengthening the construction of rural infrastructure;perfecting the information platform;enhancing training efforts and improving the competence of labor brokers;establishing and consolidating laws and regulations,and fostering well legal atmosphere;paying attention to the construction of organization and trying to famous the famous brands of rural labors;intensifying the promotion and creating favorable cultural environment.These countermeasures aim at enhancing the capability of attracting rural surplus labors,accelerating the structure of income distribution and coordinating the urban and rural development.展开更多

The forthcoming Next Generation Network (NGN) is an all IP network. Multimedia communications over IP networks are a type of bundled session communications, which cannot directly traverse Network Address Translations ...The forthcoming Next Generation Network (NGN) is an all IP network. Multimedia communications over IP networks are a type of bundled session communications, which cannot directly traverse Network Address Translations (NATs) and firewalls even in NGN. To solve the problem that the existing traversal methods are not suitable for service providers to set up a real system in NGN, a Distributed Broker-agent Architecture (DBA) is addressed. DBA is secure and realizable for service providers and enterprises because it is easy to set up and does not need to upgrade the existing devices like Firewalls, NATs or endpoint devices of subscribers. DBA is composed of two-layer distributed agents, the server proxies and the client agents, in which all multimedia communications use shared tunnels to carry signaling messages and media data between broker-agents, and the call signaling is encrypted over Security Socket Layer (SSL) to guarantee the security of calling. Moreover, the function model and multiplexed connection messages format of DBA are designed, which lays a basis for the protocol in the future NGN. In addition, a simple implementation based on H.323 verifyies the main function of traversing firewalls and NATs.展开更多
In this study we use the experiences from the service industry and explore pre-requisites of the e-health market which will need to achieve to stimulate both sides of the market (vendors, healthcare organizations, gov...In this study we use the experiences from the service industry and explore pre-requisites of the e-health market which will need to achieve to stimulate both sides of the market (vendors, healthcare organizations, government, institutions, corporations and services organizations) to interact with each other and develop demand driven services and social innovations. The results presented in this paper may be of interest for decision makers, industries (e.g. software or technology designers), small and medium enterprises (SME) and entrepreneurs with an interest in becoming a part of the e-health market, and for consumers (e.g. healthcare personnel and patients) that are willing to influence the market through their choices. The outcomes of the study shown that the role of virtual brokers is essential to the further development of a sustainable e-health market globally because its role as catalyst for interaction between the two-sides of the markets, its effects on the reduction of competitive constrains, its effects on the accessibility to broader network of actors and its effects on the support of public-private exchanges of knowledge and experience.展开更多
